Hi, I’ll be happy to help you! Yes, you can use the standard plugin for wordpress. Simply open the envato package and use the wordpress plugin->instagram-journal directory to install as all plugins.

I purchased this plugin assuming it would work for any IG account, but it seems it will only work for business accounts. Is that accurate? The IG account I would like to use this plugin with is not a business account and I am not looking to change it over. Please advise on what if anything can be done. Thanks.

Hi there, as I mentioned in the email thread, this plugin leverages the Instagram Graph API. To have full access to all of the features of the API, you will need to switch over to a business account. It’s merely a checkbox in your settings that enables these features.

Hi, I have a problem with correct connection between Instagram_journal plugin and instagram account. I have generated User ID and Access Token (https://smashballoon.com/instagram-feed/token/). However, after entering them in the configuration and generating a shortcode using the User ID, I keep getting the info “A 400 error has occured attempting to fetch your photos. Please check your credentials and try again.”
What can I do about this?

But to answer your questions, yes the feed pulls in hashtags and comments if they exist. The test user that I’m presenting in my portfolio simply doesn’t have any. Let me know if you decide to purchase and I’ll be happy to help you get started.

So, I have many licenses of this plugin. I use it on numerous clients website. They all just went down and the clients are furious. I have had to go back and remove the plugin access because none of them work now. Yes, the plugin itself works properly as you have stated, but FB has blocked this plugins access to their information… so in essence IT IS POINTLESS TO USE and to purchase this plugin until FB lets you access accounts. So the plugin DOES NOT work until FB allows you to do this. So I will not be purchasing another license until this happens. Do you have an estimated timeframe of when that is???

Can you please specify what and where we can find those other alternative routes are for people to use to make it work and have a token generated to work with Instagram?

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to you and everyone affected. I fully understand the frustration, and this issue has been the most significant challenge I’ve encountered thus far. The functionality of my plugin is limited to reading data from the API, and we have no control over the OAuth process, which is handled by Facebook.
To simplify the process for our customers, I provide a token generator tool. However, Facebook occasionally conducts a review process that requires such tools to be re-verified. If the tool is not approved in time, they take it down. I submitted the tool for review over a month ago, and it has only recently started the review process. Unfortunately, I have no control over this situation at the moment. I would need to fully vet any other token tools before referring any of my customers to use it as some token tools can try to steal your data.
However, here is the old fashion manual way to obtain your token. Give this a shot.

Hello. I have been using your plugin for less than a year and it has always worked perfectly. Till today. Instagram content no longer loads. The error message is displayed when loading the page on which the plugin is located: “A 400 error has occured attempting to fetch your profile photo. Please check your credentials and try again”. Moreover, when I try to connect to the Instagram account from my computer, a message tells me that this page does not exist, but I can connect to it from my phone. My support license has expired. But it seems I’m not alone having this problem. Can you identify where the problem comes from please. I haven’t received any license renewal proposal and I don’t understand why the plugin stopped working without any action from me. It does not bother to pay a license extension to fix it, but I would like to be sure that it is not the problem of a bug that comes from the plugin. Hello. It will be a month that the plugin does not work. My customers are furious. You are talking about “alternative token tools available on the internet that can still generate tokens for use with plugin”. I have no possibility of modifications of your plugin. Should I modify the Access Token in the sittings? If yes, which token should be put? I am not a webmaster. I don’t know anything about it. If the problem with your plugin is not solved, I will have to pay for another plugin and do all the reinstallation for free, because I can’t make my client pay for your incompetence. It’s really not proffessional to leave unsolved the problem with your product that does not work. It doesn’t matter if it comes from FB. The least thing is to explain to your customers the procedure to follow to fix the bug step by step. I see that the product is still on sale and that you propose to renew the support. But it’s not normal to sell support to get your help for a product that doesn’t work properly. I’m waiting for a suggestion from you to solve this problem.
