Yes, however only if you’re able to authenticate as these users. Instagram has added new privacy protection to the API to prevent people from stealing other peoples photos.
Hey there, a pre-sale question. Do you offer any control over what images does the plugin load? For example, can we “ban” accounts that post images at a specific location or hashtag? Can we remove photos from showing, that do not fit our criteria?

Thanks for reaching out. No, there is no ban logic built into the plugin. The Instagram API is read only so all we can do is manipulate the data that comes in. That said, all moderation and banning happens on Instagrams end so there is nothing to worry about there.
I do also offer a filter feature as a separate package which allows you to filter out images by hashtag. For example, if you want to load your userid and pull all of your images accept the ones tagged “travel”, those would be removed from the gallery. Does this make sense?
Plugins and themes are already installed. I performed the following steps with administrator rights to import the demo site, but an error occurred and some content (media) failed to import. Thanks for reaching out, I’ll be happy to help. The issue is that you’re trying to upload the envato download package instead of the plugin. Please open the zip file and instead upload the plugin. Does this make sense?
What is the name of the plugin zip file?
There is a folder in there plugins/instagram-journal. Just zip that up and upload it to wordpress. Also there is a 2 minute installation video if you open the documentations. This shows you exactly what to do.

Thanks for the follow up. Optionally, you can setup something like my demo site using the included extra theme as this is just a free addon. If you look in the folder, there is a video documentation that shows you how to set this up.

I’ll be happy to help. A theme? This is a wordpress pliugin not a theme. Simply install the plugin and add the shortcode to the page of choice. If you install the plugin and then navigate to a page editor, in the sidebar you will see a shortcode generator. Simply add your userid and token and you’re all set!

Everything ok, it works! But the real reason I bought the plugin is to load the images based on location, which is not possible. The mode that shows me is the hashtag and the user. What can I do to get the location out as well?
Hi, Instagram/Facebook has temporarily removed the location feature from the API for security reasons. I’m sorry for the inconvenience but at this time, that won’t be possible.
I use also the mode “hashtag” and appears the error 400, I told you previously. You can check this page: https://rodostamo.gr/experience/
Looks like your account isn’t approved for searching the API via hashtag. Are you alternatively looking to filter your account via hashtag?

Thx for fast respond! The folder you mentioned is not there. I do see the folder “wordpress-plugin” I don’t have winzip, only winrar. Any workaround for making a .zip? Video is also not inlcuded in my download.

Thanks. I burnt out on it yesterday but will go through the process again. Everything checked out on developer end, I got my access token and your plugin accepted it, however in use it was a different story. And I went through this multiple times, the last using your tool.

Thanks for reaching out, I’ll be happy to assist you. This is happening because you’re trying to upload the entire envato package which includes documentation, licensing and so forth. Instead, you need to open that folder and locate the Instagram Journal plugin. Use that file instead.
I downloaded [Instagram Journal] yesterday, but I couldn’t install it on my wordpress. Is it because the ver of wordpress falls? Ver is 4.9.2.

Hello. I use the “selection” mode of the gallery. I would love to be able to display pictures in a FancyBox to keep users on the site and not send them to Instagram. FancyBox mode works, but not for video. Is it possible to fix this? Or is there really no choice but to send the user back to Insta? Thanks at advance. Best regards. P.S. Thanks for reaching out, I’ll be happy to assist. In order to leverage the best features of the platform, you do actually need to include a token that has the creator or business checkbox checked. However, there is a watered down API designed for non business IG as well.

Hello! I installed, got API key, but when I click “save” under the plugin page for the API credentials nothing happens. It saves the info, but there is nothing that happens. No photos load, nothing indicating an actual connection. I have checked the API key and all is fine there. Furthermore, the short codes generated when I use the in-page short key generator don’t show up on the page. This is making me think I downloaded the plugin wrong or something? I don’t have any apps or plugins that should be getting in the way. Any ideas?

I’ve bought Instagram Journal today and after a lot of struggle I’ve got it working (even though the theme is not yet).
However, there is a question about the video of getting the tokens – you’re supposed to click on “extending the token” – but for me that was only until march 2022 (AFTER extending) – does it mean I have to do this process every 2 months?

You no longer need to get extended tokens as we now have a full on tool that automates this process. It’s now possible to get your token in less than a minute.
Can you please tell me how you got to a video? Again, this is to better help me support my products.
