Popular questions for this item

Does this work with other plugins such as the “User Registration” add-on?

Yes.

Although you must check to be sure that whatever you change the input to is still valid for other plugins usages after the data has been changed/modified. Using the plugin you can automatically change the entered data in a variety of ways, so compatibility is largely up to the administrative user in terms of how the resulting data is formatted.

When using link removal, Is the link text removed as well?

No.

Currently the link text will remain but the working functionality of the link will be removed and the text will no longer behave or be displayed as a link.

What does “per field” mean?

“Per field” means that each field (of supported type) on every form has its own individual Gravity Forms Auto Formatter settings. For example you can set one field to auto upper case everything and auto remove all link functionality, and set another field on the form to auto lower case everything and check its contents against your custom blacklist, and set other fields each with their own individual settings as needed.

Can Multiple Gravity Forms Auto Formatter settings be used on the same field at the same time?

Yes.

You can use every settings at the same time with the exception of the auto capitalization/case settings. You must select one method of auto capitalization/casing to use.

What is the order that the settings get auto processed in?

Currently, the settings are processed as follows:

-text replacement
-remove links
-remove HTML/PHP
-auto capitalization/casing
-before/after text

Custom blacklist validation is performed on form validation when the user attempts to submit the entry.

Is the plugin compatible with Gravity Forms Encrypted Fields?

Yes. You can use auto formatter on both standard and encrypted fields if using Gravity Forms Encrypted Fields.
