After installation and setting up the file manager, it only shows a blank manager: toolbar is greyed out and the content panel doesn’t show any files.

Hi,
Email me, ill check it out.

Hello kind sir, why is my toolbar greyed out. I cannot upload or download anything. I’ve already given read/upload permission too.

Hi,
You can email me the link, Ill check it out.

Hello, email notifications are not working when I upload a file to a users folder. We are not receiving notifications. Please advise. Thanks!

Definitely a bug. I see that your plugin is not adding this meta_key in mysql when adding a new user: meta_key = fm_overrule_admin_email_notification, meta_value = 1

Had to use the user_register hook to add it myself

When I create a new user in wordpress, the setting says “Disable” under “Disable Default Folder Upload Notifications” while viewing the user folder settings…

BUT my default setting in “User Upload Email Notification:” is Enable at /wp-admin/admin.php?page=red_fm_settings

Can you email me, Ill send you the latest version of the filemanager, this might be an older version.

hello, Since I haven’t gotten a response to support request in over 2 days and the File Manager plug in doesn’t work, I’d like a refund. I had to produce an alternate solution.

LIcense: 123655a7-f214-4378-89ab-0e76e3ded6e3 Hi, Having multiple problems with File Manager plugin with site: http://festival.alexisdesigns.us

1. When I try to upload a folder from wp-admin, I get “Do you want upload these xx items?” I answer yes, and nothing happens. 2. The front end shows nothing to users except the shortcode itself.. (No file manager window, nor any files) I’ve inserted in various ways, including the “shortcodes” block.

3. How do you delete files from the WP-ADMIN interface??

thanks. john sacco

Hi,
You can email me the backend access, I’ll check it out. One of your plugin, probably cache or optimization plugin might be compressing the js files the wrong way. Or could be a different plugin conflict

Why is the changelog at Version 7.5, but when i download the plugin here, i only get Version 7.4.2

Something is not correct. Also the image and file editor online is not working in 7.4.2, maybe in 7.5 but this Version is impossible for me to get.

Hi,
Can you email, ill send you the new version. I think there is something up with envato version control.

Hello, I have a pre sales question. It works with php 8? This is mandatory for me.

Thanks in adv, Enrico

Hi,
I havent tested it with php 8, there are some backward incompatibilities in php 8 which might affect the plugin.

Recently File manager has stopped working on my page (https://skfr.org/publications/). It works in the back end, but does not display on the page. It works when using internet explorer, but does not display in Edge or Chrome. We are currently on Version 7.5.2, Wordpress 5.8, and Divi.

After reading the above comments I also disabled “Defer JQuery” in the theme and it fixed the problem.

i am using fm 7.5.4 and wp 5.8 with latest divi theme, all was working fine but now all of a sudden the file manager system doesn’t show on the page, just white space, i inspect and the shortcode is there, any idea why?

Me too.

The Divi theme support team had me disable “Defer JQuery” in the theme and it is now working again and fixed… thanks for looking.

Hi, I’m getting a wrong link on Admin Email Notification

/home/quadsourcingph.com/public_html/wp-content/uploads/FileManagerFiles/keithian\4.jpg

on the last slash, it’s showing a back slash ”\” instead of forward slash ”/” also the directory is wrong, there shouldn’t be a public_html on the URL

Another issue is User Email Notification email doesn’t send when the admin uploads a file to the user’s default folder

Lastly, can the text label on the file manager window be displayed permanently effective for all users, and remove buttons permanently too for all users?

I dont understand what you mean by “can the text label on the file manager window be displayed permanently effective for all users”.
Can you show me in a screenshot?

What?? that’s no longer the issue, I told you I already figured it out and fixed that, what I need fixed is now is:

Issue #1: Hi, I’m getting a wrong link on Admin Email Notification

/home/quadsourcingph.com/public_html/wp-content/uploads/FileManagerFiles/keithian\4.jpg

on the last slash, it’s showing a back slash ”\” instead of forward slash ”/” also the directory is wrong, there shouldn’t be a public_html on the URL here’s a screenshot: https://quadsourcingph.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Screenshot-2021-08-21-02.48.52.png

Issue #2: Another issue is User Email Notification email doesn’t send when the admin uploads a file to the user’s default folder

Its not a file link, its the file path. This shortcode will show you the file path where the file has been uploaded.
For the second issue, make sure you enable the admin notification in the filemanager settings page, if its there, email me the backend access, ill check it out.

Good day File Manager does not play mp4 videos. Don’t know where the problem may be? When will the ZOHO office editor be available?

I’ve already sent you a private message. I will ask you to solve the problem quickly. well thank you

Well thank you. SUPER SUPPORT !!! I RECOMMEND SELLER!!!

Hi, do you have an extension to add tags in the archives, like categories in the wordpress blog, is a god idea.

Hi,
Unfortunately, you cant tag the files or folders.

it’s a good idea to develop, it would be nice if you could do it as an extension. by the way, very good plugin, thank you very much.

Will try if there is more demand for it.

Hi team, I hope everything is fine.

I’m contacting you as we have some doubts about the File Manager Plugin. We have seen that for our Site with more than 5000 users, there are more than 5000 personal folders created under the “upload” folder. That’s all fine.

However we are not using this File Manager feature for none of those 5000 users and just for a few editors. The complex situation happens with the slow response time of the file Manager while is loading in the Frontend as I supose it goes through all the users before rendering in the front side, right?

So, our question is, can we remove manually all 5000 users folders “named” with usernames, as we don’t need them? Will those folders be created automatically again? What process is the one that creates all those individual folders in order to avoid it again?

Thank you very much.

Hi,
You can go to the filemanager settings page and disable “Allow Default Folders For Registered Users” and then delete the user’s folders. Then you wont have to worry about getting them back again.

Per previous discussion, I am having trouble with settings for getting the files to not be able to download for users. I have it set for preview only but when you preview, you have options to save or download, can I turn those options off?

Hi
This is the pdf viewer built in the browsers, you cant change these control for other users, it will even look different in different browsers, like in firefox, it looks like this:
https://i.imgur.com/YHAInNr.png

Is there a way to see if someone (and who) downloads or prints from the browser viewer? I might be out of luck here… thanks.

No, pdf viewer is like a browser addon which is built into it, we cant collect any information from it.

Hi, bought this today, it’s a great plugin. I am having an issue with the editor. The edit file button is grayed out (inactive) on all files. If any of my users double click on one of the files, it takes them back to the main top-level directory that they have access to.

In the demo, it worked fine, however, not on my installation. How can I make sure this button is enabled as employees will need to edit and copy these files on a regular basis.

Also, is there a way to add check-in/check-out to files, so I can make sure 2 people aren’t trying to edit a file simultaneously?

Hi,
When you assign that folder to a user, make sure it is read/write access, otherwise users cant edit files with read only access.
Also only images and text files can be edited, other document formats cant be edited with the filemanager plugin.

I have a client who wants to setup a website for his potential clients where they could get access to specific files he wants to share with them. He would like it to have the following functions: 1) Give each a user ID and password and be able to track when they login and from where, etc. (and know if they are sharing the access). 2) Easily add and delete users as needed. 3) Allow controlled access to the files, meaning some files be read-only and have restricted ability to download the files and only view. 4) Be able to group documents by directory so they can give users selected access to different file groups. Does this premium plugin have those features?

Hi,
Yes, it has all these features except for tracking when the user logs in and from where. You will need a different plugin for that, like wpcerber or wordfence.

thanks… can you help with best way to setup / configure a simple single subdirectory for uploaded files that subscribers could login and view only (no edit, no download) those files or let me know where i could find documentation or tutorials… thanks.

Hi,
Here are the user guides:
http://www.bloopes.com/products/filemanager/guides/
You can simply go to front-end access page and generate shortcode for a folder with any permission you like and paste it in a page somewhere to let user access that folder.

double, sorry.
