The collections are work in progress. They are not fully implemented, they will be in the next version.
What sort dropdowns? You should have text fields, not dropdowns.

Hey…im registered and logged in on your butterfly homepage…but i dont get acces to your forum…...always the message appears ” you have to be registered / logged in to view…..”

Are you sure you are logged in? Can you take a screenshot of what you see? Also, the appearance is exactly like the one on Poster Spy, as that’s the main plugin playground. What exactly do you need? Can I see your web site with your ImagePress gallery page?

I can’t seem to get the “like” feature to activate. “0” and a heart appear beneath an image, but clicking on them does nothing (WP in production environment, jetpack sharing activated in case that is necessary)
Can you tell me how to trouble shoot this?

Jetpack is fine. Did you try the JS console in Chrome/Firefox/Safari? They usually list any JS errors there might occur.
Ok. BTW, It is a new install of WP, with the Avada theme. Are you saying I may have js issues “out of the box” that keep likes from working? I only added Jetpack in case that would enable the likes (did not help). Do the “like” work by default normally?
You shouldn’t have any issues. The “like” should work out of the box. I can’t help you more than this without seeing the site.

The plugin is not properly set up on your site, clicking on an image opens the actual image instead of the page. Please set it up first.
Ok Thank you for your reply. Under the installation tab, I have check marks on everything except the “Note: place a stylesheet file…” – (even though I have a stylesheet named imagepress.css file in the css folder of the active theme). I have also thoroughly gone through the settings, configurator, labels, notifications, upload and users tabs and set every field that made sense. I have been going through the Documentation PDF for version 5.2. I did not take any of the “Advanced installation (optional)” steps because it was labeled as optional. Since I do not need to view user profiles, I did not take any of the “Profile Usage” Steps. Can you tell me where to look in the documentation for additional required steps that I apparently have missed? If it not in the documentation can you provide some clearer clues on how to handle this? Once again I appreciate your looking at this, but I could use some clearer direction on how to get this working properly. I have created multiple localhost installations and one live one and same issues occur. Thanks.

i use wordpress for mobile app, and in app i can only see posts and comments to moderate,
is there anything i can do to make the image pending appear on pending posts page so that the app pulls them normally ?

That’s a tough question. WordPress app is limited to posts and pages only. People have been asking for this from WordPress since 2013 and no change so far.
Another question, if its not too much asking: When i click the author name of an image, i go to the author template: http://my-domain/corner/author/admin_demo_user. But when the author name is in Greek, like: “??????? ????????????”, i get a 404 page. Any pointers there? Thanks again!

Can you post a link to your site? It’s probably an encoding issue and you should not be using UTF-8. I am going to investigate this and add an option to check and switch the encoding.
Also, you can go to View -> Encoding in your browser and see what encoding you are using. If you are using UTF-8 and you need Greek characters, then you should switch your WordPress to Greek, by modifiying the wp-config.php file in your WordPress root.
However, in order to have access to it, you need to add “178.32.152.59 scrapbooking.gr” to user hosts file. If this is too much trouble, i understand and thank you anyways in advance. If by any chance you get in, you will notice there are 4 images, made by 2 different authors. On is admin, and the other one is a Greek Name and Lastname. If you click on it you will notice the issue with the 404, while not in the admin author link.
Also, regarding your other observations, indeed we are using UTF-8 in our HTML charset and in our MySQL encoding and collations. Also our wordpress installation is set via wp-config.php to have Greek locale set -> define(‘WPLANG’, ‘el’)
In our experience, there is a good chance that this has to do with the URL encoding. PHP has 2 functions to properly receiving and sending data in URL formats: urlendode and urldecode. We will try and investigate on the author.php if this could be a URL encoding issue on the URL query values.

I can’t see your site as I’m using Mac and I don’t have a hosts file.
Try using this in your wp-config.php file, above your language declaration:
define('DB_CHARSET', 'ISO-8859-7');
or
define('DB_CHARSET', 'Windows-1253');

Hello, we want to make every image, open in a new page and not as simple .jpg. ImagePress provides as a configuation that choice (“Open image page (requires custom post template)”). However, we cannot understand what to do, after selecting that setting. We get a 404 error. The slug that occurs from that on image links, is is ”/image”. Would it be possible to give us some pointers? Thank you in advance.
Go to Settings -> Permalinks and click on Save Changes. You won’t get a 404 page anymore.

You need to go to the Settings tab and disable the login/registration module. Also, colours and fonts are based on theme’s design. Contact me via email and I’ll help you configure the plugin.

It is possible, yes, if you use taxonomy templates. It even works with category.php templates.

You need to code it yourself. The keywords are only used internally.

The keywords are only used internally for ImagePress purposes. If you want them public, you will have to code it yourself. You can’t sort images with these terms, as the keywords are for internal use only, they are not sortable.
this feature will add a better integration with wordpress and it would be a very useful feature to improve internal links and research. do you have an exemple to code it ?

Hello. You might have a loop there. Did you change your author.php file as requested by ImagePress?

Yep, that fixed it, just took that chunk of code from between the ‘entry-content’ class and over-wrote the loop with it.

quick question…. is it possible to do
1- create a ””categories”” ((or albums, it doesn’t matter)) and, in this page it will work as facebook albums…. when I click on facebook albums, it shows all albums and their covers, and when I click them, I only see the images related to this album… is it possible?
2- when I’m inside of this “album” and click on “upload” button, is it possible to the plugin understand where I am and select the album where I am and upload to it?? Let me clarify this one…. I have 3 albums ((abc, xyz and xpto))... and I click into XYZ album to see the images on it… so, when I click in the “upload” button, in the ””categories”” dropdown list, it will be select the XYZ album already, instead need to find the category i want….

- user can register, but without access to backend (or very separated from other settings – let’s say I can do this with plugins),
- registered user can have his own gallery, managed from frontend,
- there will be AUDIO gallery (instead of images, like in Imagepress – but maybe it’s easy to adopt?),
- user can have his own portfolio page – short info etc, main photo, maybe a few photos below,
- on his portfolio page user can show his and only his media in albums (possibly players with playlist),
- last, but not least: user can copy part of generated code to show his playlists as iframe on other pages. This code should be editable by admin (can be even raw file to edit).

Not everything is possible. However, users can register without access to backend, they can have their own gallery on their profile page. They can’t have generated code to place on other sites.
Also, not sure about audio, as the plugin, being called ImagePress will only deal with images. The upload form validates only image formats.
However, an audio module for the plugin may be a good idea to implement.

Hi, I currently have a blog set up in where I am hoping to be able to allow my users (who are not required to sign up) to upload their photos to a public gallery. Does your plugin allow this? I want everyone on the page to be able to see everyones approved uploads. I tried looking at your screenshots but it doesn’t show anything that really helps me.
