Got it! A fixed version will be uploaded in 2 hours.
Wow… Thanks a lot! I will try it tomorow
You’re welcome!
Pre sales question,
1. Is it possible to have approval process before the image can be shown?
2. Can user create album? Can I control which user role can create album?
3. Can I automatically get EXIF data and shown it at lightbox?
4. Can I upload image by scanning folder?
Thanks
1. Yes.
2. No, I am working on creating albums and collections.
3. No.
4. No, unless you code a custom script for that.
You are welcome.
i have image press in my site. how can my images show in a pop up or shadow box?
Install a shadowbox plugin, such as jQuery Colorbox 4.
hi, nice plugin a few things could be done to improve the workflow ,for example expanding the custom fields options, however my issue at the moment is not being able to find the code which is generated on the single-image.php , i’ve kinda mashed it together and I need to be able to grab the ip_main bar ,likes and comments, next post and author data ect… see here http://www.pasteall.org/pic/show.php?id=82642, can you point me in the right directions …cheers
Hi, the code is in the /documentation/ folder.
yeah its the code generated by ip_main(get_the_ID());........ that I am looking for
That code is in /includes/functions.php
Hello, I recently purchased Imagepress. Is there a way to allow all users to have profiles, but only certain roles can upload images?
For example, users with the “Reader” role can like and comment on images, but cannot upload their own. While users with the “Uploader” role can like, comment on, and upload images.
Thanks!
It is not possible out of the box, you would need to code it yourself (or hire a developer).
What shortcode creates this author “card” page:
http://cghubs.com/our-artists/On my site, for example, I use this shortcode:
[cinnamon-card perpage=8]
great, thanks
You’re welcome.
Is there a way on the upload form to have multiple category drop down menus.
For instance, I want uploaders to be able to select an artist as one category, and then select the type of artwork as another category.
And I know it looks complex, but is it possible to also have an input box so users can add new categories and tags?
There is a tags input box, although not active in my demo and unfortunately, you cannot add new categories. I will consider adding this to a future version as a switchable option.
You cannot have multiple categories, unless you create additional taxonomies.
I see the input box option for the keywords, but I can’t find one for the tags.
Well, tags and keywords would behave the same. If you want different tags, you would, again, need to create additional taxonomies and implement the code inside ImagePress.
Alright, sounds good. One more question, any tips for installing the update? Do I just delete the current version and then upload the new one?
Delete the current version, upload the new one, and recheck all settings, making sure they are exactly the way you want them to be. Some of them are new, and default options might not be set.
Don’t forget to deactivate the plugin before deleting it. This is required for the notifications table to be installed.
Excellent, everything went smoothly. Love the plugin and the service!
Thank you! Don’t forget to rate it.
Rated!
Another question. What are the widgets used on cghubgs for “image details + Image stats”, and the grid of thumbnails for “related posters”.
Thanks again
Thank you! The widgets are custom made. I will add a tutorial on how to add such widgets. Stay tuned.
Awesome, look forward to it
A new version has been uploaded!

Hi, I bought this plugin but I have a question. I want this (http://posterspy.com/poster/assassins-creed-unity-3/) when click on a picture. How do I design love button, image details, image stats on my pictures pages. Please help
That would require CSS and theme changes. If you are familiar with HTML/CSS, you can create your own template. If not, you can hire a WordPress designer to create your template.
So I have this site http://bindebros.com and I was wondering if I could just use the uploader and have the images uploaded appear the way they do currently and use wordpress users instead of your users with the plugin. Also could I have the images uploaded display as posts? Is the CSS easily customizable? Does the plugin store images in wp-content? Is there a feature to follow users? Can you remove the extra fields in upload like (show us progress making this)?
The plugin already uses WordPress users. It also display images as posts, with a small change to toe single.php template.
The CSS is easily customizable, yes and the plugin stores the images in the /wp-content/ directory, in the current month and year folder.
There is a feature to follow users, and the extra fields can be hidden from the plugin’s options.
You won’t be able to display the images the way you want, unless you code your own loop. It should be pretty easy.
I bought the plugin, is it possible to get the images to post so it appears in recent posts just like all other wp posts do?
That way I won’t have to use the gallery, so I can just make it seem fits in like the rest of the posts.
It is possible, but you need to code your own loop.
Hi there,
great plugin, but is there an easy way to add extra fields to the “Upload” form? My client wants to be able to collect the uploader’s name, email address, and postal address as he’s using the plugin for a photo competition.
Kind regards, Aaran
There is no easy way to do it now, but I am working on adding it for version 5.0. I’ve had lots of requests.
Hi. Do you have any other demos to review? I’m interested the following: 1. seeing a demo on how the user media submission would look like. 2. Is there a way to link the persons name, age and url to the pic? 3. Is there a way to share the pic on social media?
I’m looking to add it to this page, so people can upload their selfies. http://askcoachkim.com/fullbodyselfieproject/
thanks!
Did you see http://cghubs.com and http://posterspy.com?
Thank you. I looked at it again. For some reason when I posted my message, there was an error page. Thank you. One last question. I’m using S2SMember. How does this sign-in work? would it sync with that plugin?
You can disable ImagePress login and use th S2 one.
Hi, when using mobile to upload, why is it forcing me to take a picture instead of allowing me to choose one from my gallery?
It probably depends on your phone.
Hi, the new update fixed this. Thanks!
Great! Cheers!
Hi, when clicking on comments it is taking me to disqus link. I am using single-images.php
thanks.
What do you mean by Disqus link?
When clicking on the comment icon it takes me to this link in the browser: user_images/me/#disqus_thread
Just ignore that. Is the image loading correctly?
Hi, the cinnamon profiles are the best I’ve seen anywhere!
I just have some pre-sale questions:- About the Profile Form
- - Is it possible to change existing fields’ text and capabilities: select, checkbox, text area etc.?
- - Is it possible, or will it be possible, to add extra fields? Including fields with urls?
- - Is it possible to add user instructions in the form?
- - Is, or will it be, possible to make profile types? For example by creating different forms for different membership levels.
- Profile Visuals
- - Does the plug-in adapt fluently with the site’s layout, with either a light or a dark color scheme?
- - On the Cinnamon Users plug-in page I see on example with the avatar image in the bottom left, including a colored line around it, different from what is now on CG Hubs. It looks awesome, clean, and doesn’t get in the way of the background image! Is this layout still available as a choice?
- - Next to the images, is it also possible to display users posts on the profile page in a concise, list fashion?
- - Under the authors profile is the last log-in date visible, is it possible to also add the last log-in location?
- Compatible Plugins
- - Does it come with an integrated point system, and if not, with what award plug-ins would it be compatible?
- - Is it possible for authors to sell the images? With what plugin would it be compatible then?
- - Is, or will it be, compatible with Woo Commerce?
- - Is, or will it be, compatible with S2Member?
- - What user album, gallery plugins are compatible?
- - Is there a member directory, searchable by profile meta fields?
- - What user personal portfolio plugin is compatible? Or will this feature perhaps be added in the future?
You truly made the best user profile system I’ve seen anywhere! By adding some more customizing flexibility and adding a demo showing all the features and different possibilities with the plugin (dark vs light, cool vs elegant), you’ll be the bestseller here in no-time!
Bytheway, when do you think the demo of the cinnamon user profile integrated version of ImagePress will be ready?
Hang on, I’ll have to write a proper message with all the asnwers
What do you mean by WooCommerce compatibility?
ImagePress now integrates Cinnamon Users. If you purchase ImagePress you will have the whole package.
Hi!
No worries, take your time, I asked a lot of questions
.
I know ImagePress and Cinnamon Users are now integrated, but I still had some questions about all the functions and possibilities, including the ones that may be added in the future, to see if it already has (or will have) the features I require.
I also think the system looks very impressive, and I am curious about its development from now on.
Hi!
One more additional question, about the Portfolios: Are the portfolios/profiles on cgsociety: http://troitsky.cgsociety.org/about also created with this plugin? Or would it require heavy customizing to get such a result?
(ps: forget about the WooCommerce compatibility question, my main point was if authors are, or will be, able to sell their work.)
Thx!
No, they’re not using this plugin. It would require a bit of customization to look like that.
Hi,
Next to the many questions I already posted, I found a few more…
1. Is it possible (or will it be) for every user to create a personal image album/gallery, which allows multiple image uploads simultaneously?
2. Can users choose to add only the best pictures from their albums/galleries to show in category terms of the site-feed (for example: add image to the category term “Faces”)?
3. Is it possible to use custom taxonomies instead of the wp category default?
4. Is the plugin fully responsive?
5. Is it possible to make the map next to the user interactive, showing last log-in location? Or can such a map otherwise be implemented into the profile?
Including the ones I posted above, this should cover all the details…
Thx!
Hi Ciprian,
I found some of the answers in the forum, and I will have to make a choice soon so I’ll just ask the key question that is left!
- I have the default wp “Post” post type (stories) and another 2 custom post types (articles) and (albums) that I want to display on the user profile. Is it possible to do this? Perhaps by adding some code?
Thank you!
Only one post type can be added. Adding some code is not possible right now, but I will add your request as a ticket for version 5.0.
So, let me officialy answer them:
1. No, and the feature won’t be added in the future. It is outside the scope of this plugin. For now.
2. A variation of this will be possible in a future version, with the user being able to show/hide/promote some of his/her images.
3. The plugin already uses custom taxonomies.
4. Yes.
5. The map can be made interactive, but this is, again, outside the scope of this plugin. Some users may not want to have their location displayed. The map feature will be discarded in the future and only the location will be shown.
The other questions are still being reviewed, as I am currently working on version 4.1. Feel free to add requests and bugs (after you purchase it) here – http://getbutterfly.com/wordpress-plugins/tracpress/
Hi, first – I would really like this plugin to work for me, but I need some help. I’ve been searching for an answer on these questions, with no luck. 1. I cannot find the shortcode for “user” or “author”, just the cinnamon profile shortcode. I am using buddypress so I don’t need cinnamon. I just need to display the photos of the user – each user their own photos. 2. I am wondering why the additional attached images are not displaying automatically within the custom image- post. How to make them appear? 3. How does the like system work? I click on the icon but there is no change. I have some other questions regarding styling but these are the most crutial. Thank you. P.s. congrats on the baby:)
Also the view count doesn’t seem to work.
Hi, you need to create a single-xxx.php template, according to the documentation. When you create it, the like system will work and the additional images will show up.
Thank you!
Hi Ciprian, how about this part:
1. I cannot find the shortcode for “user” or “author”, just the cinnamon profile shortcode. I am using buddypress so I don’t need cinnamon. I just need to display the photos of the user – each user their own photos.
Do you have a shortcode like that? I think you might have had it before you integrated the cinnamon profiles. Is it available for use now?
That is the most important one for me.
Hello… ?
Hi, you need to use the integrated profile. The plugin does not work with Buddypress, so there is no shortcode with only the photos. I will try to add this as a future option, though.
what I’m trying to achive is to have the users to sign-up and upload the images/artwork by themselves. so they have theri own account to upload the artwork.
I like the the implementation for registration for this site: https://www.dwightjimenez.com/profile/register/We should be able to approve the first posting in case it’s spammer.
Will this imagepress do this? or anything else should I get?
thanks for your help
Yes, ImagePress does that and even more. It has shortcodes for registration, login and image upload.
hi thanks for your reply. If I use Xenforo forum, can this imagepress integrate with Xenforo? I saw you have cinnamon forum
No, this is for WordPress only.
This looks awesome….!!!!!!! I’m a wedding foto guy….I was wondering if or how the imagepress plugin and backend admin features would allow a password protected sites/page where clients can login and view personal pictures , makes comments and download various file sizes?
You cannot hide images or make them private unless you use a third-party plugin. But your idea is interesting.
You can set up a password protected page and place all ImagePress related shortcodes there. This way, users would have to enter a password. Or make the entire site member only.
Awwww, thanks so much for the update, you’re really good with support.
You are welcome!
