Hi! Good plugin!
But when used with WPML and have for example 2 languages set, live ajax search suggests mixed results of KB posts in the both languages. I think you have to adjust the query so it suggests only KB from the current language.

- Dragging “KB shortcode editor” will be added in version 1.0.6. So you can easily shift editor beside VC editor. Next version will coming in next week.
- Currently, I’ve no plan to add “VC element” blog feature. But, I’ll keep you’re idea in my mind

PS, I think you should solve the VC compability issue. It may be a Z-index problem? Im not asking for full VC integration, but it does just not work at all with VC (which is what I am using).

Is it possible to have the KB pull from my page.php file and not the single.php file?
Basically I added your shortcode to a page which I’m fine with but once I click on KB link, it looks like an article blog post and not like how the page looks from where I had embedded the code.
My page and post stylings are different and I want KB to resemble the page and not my post page from my theme.
I need to know if this is possible because I may have to request a refund if I can’t get it to match the page from where the shortcode is at.

You can create custom single page for your KB post. Follow the article and add you’re custom code in new “custom single page”.

hi, when I make the shortcode like this to order the categoeis by name: [bkb_category limit=”6” posts_count=”1” categories=”aan-de-slag-met-seoeffect,zoekwoordonderzoek-nl,onpage-seo,offpage-seo,bijhouden-prestaties,reports-nl,seo-strategie” cols=”1” /]
then 2 things don’t show: - the number of KB articles in the category - the number of articles under the cat are limited to 1 although there are lets say 3 article in it.

hi, I have latest install. I figured it out now. It has to do with the count=’1’ when made with the wisiwig shortcodemaker its implemented like count=”1”, but the version ‘1’ only works. Same for limit=’4’ .
This is only the case when the categories= section is hand filled with the cat slug names to make that the ordering.

idea: make a costum class for the number that reveals the number of KB-articles in a category. That way it can be nice formated with background colour, round forms etc.

is the shortcode working in a KB category describtion field? I think its not. (its not showing up) I want that to use as URL structure main_category/sub-category/kb-article structure.
Then I set the KB slug to ‘main-category’ and there lives the home of my KB with all the shortcode stuff.

so then your plugin is not completely WPML compatible, sorry to say.
I don’t understand why those 2 text-lines are not translatable strings. I understand the logic you explain out of a technical point of view. But out of WPML compatibility, its the wrong solution you use there. Please think of another way to: a) give users grip to change that text. 
make it tranlatible.
Also I think the ‘Like The Post – Dislike The Post’ can be translatable strings already? I cant translate them now…

bug: the default category icon is: folder-o
when making a new category the preset icon is: folder-o
when I save it, its not folder-o but file-o!!
Even when in edit change the icon back to folder-0, after save its still file-o
verry very annoying.

is it possible to add the KB search box on top of every category page? Did I miss a setting in admin?
Plugin has sticky search box right side of the page. So, adding search box top of each page seems redundant to me.
But, I like the idea. Will consider this in next release.

I miss the feature to have a proper hierarchy structure like: www.domain.com/knowledgebase-home/categorie-kb/article-kb
Now the breadcrumb on the page article-kb has not this: Breadcrumb: Home > KB home > KB category > KB article title but: for category Breadcrumb: Home > KB category URL: www.domain.com/categorie-kb/
and for KB article Breadcrumb: Home > KB article title URL: www.domain.com/article-kb
This full URL and breadcrumbs is a must have for usability and SEO!

Plugin uses theme “single.php” page to display KB content and it’s bit difficult to control breadcrumb structure from plugin. But, You can create custom page that only for “KB Single Page” and customize breadcrumb structure according to your need. You can check following article-

thank you, but my other normal posts and pages are ‘living’ already in a directory structure with the URL and breadcrumb as I proposed so I think your plug-in is not adapting my template oke.

Plugin uses your theme category.php page to display Knowledgebase category contents.
I use wp genesis framework with a mindfulness childtheme from zigzagpress. Does that rings any bells? So my theme is not using the normal theme-set but a childtheme. I still wonder why our blog structure has the category in the URL and breadcrumb.
Can you please tell me where the category.php page and single.php is located in the WP directoey structure? So I can figure out what to copy from my childtheme to the normal theme templates to replicated them.

- Ya sure, I’m answering all your quires one by one
- That’s not a problem that you’re using child theme. Child theme inherit all it’s properties from parent theme. So, Go to your parent theme forlder and you will get category.php page. If you don’t find that then forward an email to theme developer and ask them exact category.php location.

Hi, I alos think it has to do with the functrion from SEO Yoast plugin: “Strip the category base (usually /category/) from the category URL.” When used my blogpost URLs are stilled as above:
/nl/blog/ Home > Blog NL
/nl/blog/seo-nieuws-posts/ Home > Blog NL > SEO nieuws
/nl/blog/seo-nieuws-posts/breaking-google-mobiel-vriendelijk-een-must/ Home > Blog NL > SEO nieuws > Breaking: nu moet je echt aan de mobiele website!

still not happy: I find it still strange that while I copied now my blog archive.php template to category-bwl_kb.php (there was no category.php used in my template.) and single.php to single-bwl_kb.php the to pages still behave different then my blog categories and blog single posts that use the same! templates. Breadcrumb and URL structure is different. I dont like that. So you your plugin is not completly doint what my 2 templates ask. ;-(
