Hi, (although purchased), I am currently having issues in AZ Theme.
1.) “link to existing” does not work in button. So far theme support has not been able to help me. I don’t know where to start, and it would be nice to have these hard-coded.
2).) I have a 5 image gallery on heatblowdryDOTcom/parties/ There only shows 1, with the rest stacked on top of each other. In both FF and Chrome, if I right-click / inspect elements…the images expand. I am assuming this is an issue with me putting them in tabs, as I don’t recall any issues on another page.
3.) all of my shadows or elements for SINGLE IMAGE are distorted. Dahz (AZ Theme) says maybe I am not using “portrait” images (I do not see why that should matter). Again, I feel it is a theme issue.
Can you help me figure these out please or point me in some direction? Thanks in advance.
Hi, regarding your questions: 1) by link to existing do you mean linking to something on the same page? We do not have such option in default version of Visual Composer – maybe it is something added by your theme author – then we won’t be able to help there because we didn’t developed that code part 2) If you are using Image gallery element in tabs there could be initialization problems. I would recommend switching to media grid which can do the same, but is a more advanced and well crafted content element 3) We are aware of shadow problem and our devs are already assignede to work on this one. Update with proper shadow will be available in the next update which will see the light hopefully next week. Please follow update notifications.
As for first problem again – if I misunderstood you – please open support ticket at support.wpbakery.com and explain in details linking to existing so our support team can take a look at it and maybe provide some hint.

I’m using the Eden Theme by Qode which already features/includes your plugin… so my question would be: how can I upgrade it? since I don’t have a purchase code for your item but on the theme itself.

Hi, if you received Visual Composer through a theme there is no option to get direct updates. In order to update you have 2 options: 1) ask your theme author to update VC on their side 2) or consider purchasing direct license for VC to get direct updates option and also access to official WPBakery support.

Problem: NO ADDONS TAB SHOWING IN VISUAL COMPOSER Description: Hello.. I am very new to web developing. Recently I installed VC 4.4.2 and Ultimate addons 3.7.0. But the Ultimate Addons tab is not showing up while I am going to add any element. Not only that, no other addon is showing up in the tab. Can somebody help me out please??

Hello,
I’ve purchased the Epic theme for Wordpress and when I go to install the Visual Composer plugin, it crashes the site and I’m forced to restore from a backup and then still do not have the plugin installed, making the theme useless. Is there something I’m missing here? Do I need a more up to date version of visual composer?

Hi, which version of Visual Composer you are using, make sure to have latest one. If you purchased Visual Composer directly then you should be able to download latest version and if it is still the same you should open support ticket at support.wpbakery.com and share your site credentials so we can take a look. If you got VC through the theme I would recommend to talk to theme author on what problem do they have with installing inbuilt version of VC which they bundled themselves.

It seems that Visual Composer don’t work with ajax plugin for smooth transition between pages. I can add a “reload code” to the plugin to be sure that everything reload at each time. But what code I need to paste to reload visual composer at each time ?

I recently purchased Visual composer and there is an update out. It is giving me an error code when I go to update it and I only have the tabs that say “General Settings” and “My Short codes.” How can I fix this?
Hi, it seems your WP theme has disabled License tab within VC. I would recommend to contact your WP theme author on how to revert it back so you can activate VC properly and signup for auto-update.

We do have the following problem: Visual composer does not allows us to choose between the existing animated elements we have already created. In the window “chose the Animated columns” we don’t see anything.

I would recommend to contact theme author to discuss the issue as he should be able to help there.

In order to use WP 4.1 you need to have latest version of Visual Composer 4.4.2 currently as it is compatible with WP 4.1

Hi,
There seems to be an issue in the latest version of VC (4.4.2) with image styles (rounded, circle..) not being applied to images. Looking at the CSS code, and comparing with previous versions images are now targeted differently, it used to be, for circled for example div .vc_box_circle and now it is .wpb_single_image .vc_single_image-wrapper.vc_box_circle img which obviously makes this part of code disfunctional as there is on such element in markup.
Also, code for borders on images have the same problem, and borders are not applied to images.
It would be great if you could fix this in the next version of plugin.

Hey guys,
I am using the Visual Composer with the Stockholm theme from Themeforest. It’s updated to the latest version.
I am having problems with line breaks.
They simply don’t seem to work when editing a text block with the visual composer…...
I have tried ENTER, ENTRER twice, shift ENTER etc. Even the code
...nothing at all…
Any ideas?

I just updated the plugin to the latest version 4.4.2 and the page takes forever to load the VC tabs and all the elements on the page are duplicated at the bottom of the page just like @acurantgra

Hi, I am sorry but I activated this on a temporary site and I changed the sub directory to the main domain and now I cannot add it to the main site. I have deleted the old sub directory but it still says: Your license key is already activated on another website (apr*new), you should deactivate it first or obtain new license key.

So with the new Grid Elements builder, there is no way to control breakpoints from within the settings?
Example, masonry media grid, or ordinary media grid.
You need to define how many items in a row, say 4. Then you will get 4 that just get narrower and narrower, until the global breakpoint is reach, at which point they expand into a stack of gigantic single items under each other.
Terrible.
All I want is a responsive gallery layout, but VC forces us to use the PrettyPhoto lightbox in that case.
I feel stuck in a corner. New grid is only pseudo-responsive, existing gallery doesn’t allow us to use our own lightbox.
Is my only option to custom code it?
Site is in dev, otherwise I would open a ticket and send a link. Very frustrating though, what is the point of the new grid options if we can’t control the breakpoints?
Hi, thanks for your opinion. Currently there is no option to control breakpoints directly. You should use custom method to add media queries. As we rely on Bootstrap there is more or less clear way on implementing it. I will talk about this in the next team meeting to see what additional controls for responsiveness we can introduce. Hey there, sorry if my question sounded a bit terse, I think I was just feeling a bit frustrated with the limitation.
I kind of knew what the answer was going to be, so decided to try again using a different method/plugin, which does allow for proper responsiveness of the items.
The reason I tried the new VC Grid option was firstly because I was having difficulty creating a gallery type layout in my chosen option.
I use the Essential Grid extensively on the site, and this already includes not only filters, pagination, masonry etc, but also a very fine level of control over the breakpoints.
... but I was having a problem with some of the requirements for the site when using EG, while the new VC Grid appeared to address those.
The 2 major missing aspects in the VC grid though, are the breakpoints issue, and the lightbox question. I could solve the lightbox in about 30 minutes, but the responsiveness is a much bigger task to custom code.
The secondary reason for trying the VC grid option was out of curiosity, since it appeared there after the last major update..
I can certainly see how useful it might be in many scenarios, and may save me the cost of an additional EG licence on future builds now that the VC has these other options available.
So, thanks, it will definitely be useful in the future, and in this case the frustration also led me to the full solution I was after by looking at it from a slightly different angle.
I don’t see that it will be a massive leap for you to get the custom columns side of it working though, since you have already done so in the core of the VC rows, although of course that doesn’t mean it will be simple!

Trying to build a custom grid for the post grid using the Advanced Grid builder and had a quick question: Is there a way to display the category of a post? I see an option to include a custom field, but can’t get it to display the category.
Hi, currently there is no such option, but this is a good point you mentioned and we will take this into consideration.
At the moment you could take a look at Advanced Custom Fields, maybe they have solution on how to transfer categories to custom fields. Once you have ACF installed it will appear under Grid Builder elements – but this is just a guess.

Ok I understood the “Content_element” is the fact that it can be shown in the CE-list … logic … BUT, I still cant’ put other content-elements in my custom VC_map
Finally I managed to create a “container” ... But the thing would be way better with a new param’ including the shortcode into any column.
Hi, you should take a look at Nested Shortcodes – this is how WP works and we try to rely on native way. Anyway we will consider this as a feature request. Thanks for your input.

Hi, I was wondering if any licenses exist that would enable me to buy the plugin license once and use the product key to update the plugin on multiple sites. I have various themes that use this plugin but the theme developers are not quick on updating their theme files so I was hoping to by-pass the theme developers and just buy a proper license to update the files.
Hi, currently there is no such license. What you are talking about is multisite or developer license – currently Envato does not offer such license, so for each version you will need one regular license to get direct updates.
