Hi, My goal is to generate random answers submissions in order to test my survey (lot of questions, difficult to do it by hand). I was wondering whether i could export submissions, randomize some and re-import results (as CSV for example), but it seems not possible. What would you suggest? Including custom coding ? Thanks

In the package there’s a free addon called demo generator which solves your purpose. You can look into it’s source code to get some idea. Not all elements are supported by the addon though.

It requires PHP GD2+ extension. So it should run.
Note that you have a couple of pretty big bugs which make parts of this plugin unusable (at least those on Windows servers). If you plan on updating them I will wait but if not can I get a refund?
Bug #1 – And this took me about two hours to figure out which I would pay $9 to get back… As someone has posted in comments earlier you can get jpgraph error 25107. This leads people to troubleshoot file perm and php perm issues. However I have open perms on everything and a million things running on the server and WP install so I knew that wasn’t it. I found that some of the graphs were being generated for the PDF files but it would eventually give me the 25107… So it does this when you have a question that exceeds a certain amount of characters. It isn’t much and I am guess that it is 260 (or whatever limit of filename is for windows)... So obviously PHP does not have perms to name something longer than windows allows. Bad error message and bad coding. Name should be truncated to fit. Run a report with a really long question and try to export it to PDF and you will get this useless error.
2. If I try to run one of your demo surveys to PDF and there is only one done then I get a 25608 error – a plot has an illegal scale.
So basically we can’t use the PDF report until at least #1 gets fixed.

This is in relation to a similar problem that was pointed out previously about a year ago regarding the creation/generation of pdf certificates for each user/examinee. I only need to generate the certificate page, here are my questions (please provide an answer point by point as enumerated):
1) instruction on how to suppress printing of all pages of a user survey report so that only page 1 containing the certificate page is generated in the pdf. 2) i trawled through what you mentioned as css documentation in fsqm pro/exporter online manuals but there is nothing that can be used as a template code for superimposing text data over the header image. kindly provide this reference please. 3) there is also no reference for which db variables containing user data /tables should be used to pick-up personalization info. you said these are available but where is the reference doc on how these are used for customization. 4) we bought fsqm pro and exporter based on your claim that these products are a powerful form builder and can generate downloadable user certificate after each quiz and/or survey. however, this drag and drop feature is not consistent in the case of certificate design/dev’t. much more there is no detailed css coding reference included in your online support docs even if we do resort to code customization (but what’s the point in buying a drag and drop tool if this was the case anyway?).
bottomline is that this claim and product advertisement is kind of misleading.
we are a certifying organization and this product feature was crucial to our purchase decision. please kindly provide us support for this since we have an upcoming event next month and we need to get this requirement working or even a work-around.

1. Right now, the summary table can be modified. You can use designation and designation message for adding your custom message. Custom HTML can also be added before/after summary table.
2. Sorry but this isn’t possible.
3. You’d need to access f_name, l_name, email, phone db column of the table wp_fsq_data.

Admin access is not required. What you need to understand is the excel is generated for offline use. Your submissions are sorted according to their date and upto current date you can export all submissions. Obviously for future dates, the submissions aren’t there yet and you can not export them for offline use. So theoretically and conceptually it isn’t possible to create an excel file which would magically hold all future submissions. I hope you understand.

I installed the Exporter plugin and it is working fine. However, when trying to export a report :
XSLX -> works good, i can download and see report with charts For anything else (PDF, XSL, HTML) it gives me the error “can’t write to file ‘root path/wp-content/uploads/fsqm-....’ and make sure permission are enough.
Well, 1) I have checked everything is 777 for uploads/fsqm-exp-reports and also 777 for ipt-fsqm-exp-8.html – which is the report folder and also 777 for graphs folder inside. and this is by default i didn’t have to give
2) Owner of the folder is apache – same as all other files
3) in case it is permission issue, why XSLX works fine.
Is it an issue of libraries associated with PDF, HTML and XSL?

Could you try setting permission to 775? It clearly states that the file is not being written. Perhaps there are also some security settings in your server that prevents writing of pdf or html files?

Would be an issue of .htaccess which is automatically created? clearly it is not permission issue since XSLX is working completely fine.
which functions / modules / settings common across creation of PDF / HTML / XSL and not used in XSLX shall i check for on the server?
I have checked for all extensions required and it is installed with the required versions. WordPress version: 3.5.x+ PHP version: 5.2.x+ MySQL version: 5+ PHP XML Library PHP ZIP Library PHP GD2 Extension PHP mb_string Module
PHP Memory at least 256MB (512MB recommended) For the memory, default is 128MB however, i changed in the exporter settings to 1024 I think this will override the default ini value? note: running on dedicated server.
I have checked with server administrator there are not particular configuration or security for mentioned files .. and other running applications on the server can produce such files normally – tested.
Okay, I was able to find out the issue. Some of the questions has Arabic – Unicode, since we are writing the question in both languages. While when tries to create the graph file on filesystem using the question label, it fails.
Now, if possible to assist please overcoming this by eliminating the unicode characters while creating the files or using different naming, how can i edit?

You may also use Any Arabic Characters in the question and do a submission, try to generate a report.

Besides, the issue will resolved if (( Exporting PDF, HTML or XSL doesn’t depend on the question label/title .. alternatively, if possible to use any random name, or question id as filename .. that will resolve the issue)
On another note, Exporting CSV doesn’t support Unicode languages such as Arabic, so if i export CSV having the questions, the question label, or answers, is shown as Junk since it was written in Arabic. While the same issue doesn’t exist when exporting to XSLX.
Appearently, the plugin wasn’t tested at all with Unicode language (Arabic, Russian, French, Dutch, Chinese, Urdu, ..etc)

Hello. Contratulation for this addon.I have one question and one problem: -Question: I want users with “Author” Profile in WP to be able to export the same way that they do from FSQM Pro plugin. How can I give access this users to export menu without manipulating roles?. -Problem: When the question or answers are long. Text falls over exported PNG graphics. Also, all PNG graphics are distorted (larger). I want text to fall on top, or below, but not over the graphic.

For question 1 I would recommend this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpfront-user-role-editor/ You need to add the “manage_feedback” capability to authors.
For question 2, unfortunately there isn’t any fix for this as it would be too edgy. You can however export to xlsx and generate PDFs from there.

It shows a reduced menu for Author role. I hope you consider this for an upgrade. Q2: I’m sorry to read about this. I don’t know much about it, but I don’t understand how come the report on screen looks so great and the exported to PDF,xls, or xlsx (due to PNG graphic) so messed up. Q1 is totally out of scope for our plugin (at least right now).
Q2 you can export to xlsx (not xls) and it will generate dynamic graphs (not png images). Then you can resize, crop, zoom etc within some EXCEL software.
Q3 Yes, you will be eligible for the update.

Hi, i’m trying to export all the submissions but when I do Export report it comes up with 2 errors “No Survey Questions found in the form you have selected.” “No Feedback Questions found in the form you have selected.” Surely the form is not empty and there are multiple choice question and more. Also I can see all the submissions in the “View All Submissions” tab. Could you please advice? thanks

It means all the questions you have added are from “Others” type. Those can not be exported to generate report right now.
