I am having a conflict with my theme. My theme is called Total and is available on themeforest.

The upload button is missing from the edit user profile page. When I click on a box to hide the field from viewers, the checkmark does not show.

I’m going to be importing about 500 profiles initially. Can I send a mass email with a link and login credentials to login and change their password and update their profile with current info?

Or would a unique link that takes them directly to reset their password work better? Any ideas?

Hey… when you guys will implement a better SEO for profiles? One of the most URGENT improvements we need is the Display Name on Page Title instead of “Profile” or “My Profile”.

So will be something like “Joe Dude | MySite.com”.

The “My Bio” field can replace the Page Description too on Google Results, instead of random info or even the default site description.

Would be nice see that in the next update! :D

Done – have scoped the first suggestion – “My Profile” change in Version 2.13 scheduled for 18th November :-)

About the Page Description idea – I am not sure if My Bio is the best option though. Do you have any other ideas ?

In Email notifications, apostrophes are landing in client mail boxes as unicodes… so

CAN’T

show up as

(added the stray dashes so the unicode displays on Envato)

One more, I want to create a school management site where user ( student, teacher, staff) can choose their role when they want to register by drop down or radio button check. And after registration they will be redirected on their specific pages. Are theses possible by userpro?

You can create multiple registration forms for different roles. After registration/login – they can be redirected to any custom url/profile page.

Pre purchase questions:

1. There is no Capcha feature by default. Is this plugin support wordpress capcha plugins?

2. Have you any plan to make capcha feature by default in next update?

Captcha is not available but can add anti spam question. There are no plans to add it as of now.

We’ve just released Version 2.14 with a custom anti-spam question / answer field, that you can add onto registration / login forms. You can frame your own question and answer and use that, to prevent spammers

Hello! I can not find the settings viral social marketing for Facebook. Should I find the title, description, link to the automatic sharing. Why are not there?

It looks like Facebook’s latest app policies are clashing with this feature. So have removed this for now. But I have logged this issue so that it is addressed in future releases.

Pre purchase questions. Can this plugin show just the posts of users that are followed including featured image/excerpt etc rather than all of their activity as in your example page? Could it be modified to also allow users to “follow” categories and show as above too? We are trying to build a niche specific tumblr (or even twitter) style site where logged in users can “follow” categories and/or other users and populate their homepage with recent posts in their chosen categories and users they follow. For example, if it was a recipe blog with multiple authors users should be able to select the categories “vegetarian” and “vegan” and only see posts in those categories if they are logged in, as well as the ability to follow specific authors. About following – you can follow the users. To follow category is not supported. Need analyze how many changes are required.

How do you display custom fields from the registration form in the user list? So far I have found it very easy to add custom fields to the reg form but 100% impossible to view that data in the obvious locations of notification emails or user list… Not a great experience to collect data and have no way to access it.

The custom fields that are added in registration form – users need to add some values to it. After that they will be visible on that user profile.

I have tried {USERPRO_VARIABLENAME}, {USERPRO_variablename} and {variablename} all to no effect. What is the correct format for inserting custom fields into the various notification emails??

As of now it is possible to use only the fields which are given in Userpro-> Email notifications. Need to modify the code to any other fields.

Drat, that’s not the answer I was hoping for. Really hoping to see this in a future release, as email correspondence (esp. admin registration notifications) is much less useful without the inclusion of custom data entered by tae new user.

Is there an option to send the user to a certain page when the click the activation link in the email that is sent to them upon registration?

So far I have found a login redirect, a registration redirect (which takes effect immediately upon sumbitting the registration) and a logout redirect.

Just a bit of feedback: there are custom redirects and then some redirects in the main settings area. Registration Redirects are found in both places. I find this confusing and would prefer all the redirects to be bundled in one place for clarity.

Also, it would be VERY helpful if the destination pages for redirects (and unlocking pages for un-signed-in-users, for that matter) could be selected with a pop up dialog box rather than manually typing the URL or figuring out the page ID number.

Once the user submits their reigstration, the registration form converts to a login form. There is a little yellow box with a notice, ” Your email is pending verification. Please activate your account”

That isn’t adequately descriptive for my users… I’d like to change that sentence to something like, “Please check your email for a verification link that will permit you to log in”.

Where would I edit this?

This is in conjunction with my earlier question about needing to redirect my users to a specific page post-registration submission page that displays crystal-clear instructions in addition to (or instead of) the notice within the login box.

There are no such settings available in userpro but you can change this message by modifying the code.

Please goto userpro/functions/ajax.php. Around line no:335 you will find the message replace it with your custom message.
