Hi, your version is really outdated and needs to be updated for sure. It seems you have purchased theme which includes VC so there are two options for your to update: first one is ask your theme author to update, the second is considering purchasing direct license so you could get updates instantly.

Hi, sad to hear about your theme. Regarding updates – yes, you are right you need separate license for direct updates. As for your bug with white text – it is already fixed in the latest updates, your version is not compatible with WP 3.9 this is why it is happening. As for layout – updates will not break your layouts for sure.

Hey, and thx for the fast reply. I bought the plugin. Needed to delete the old one in order to install the new. When activating i got the “White screen of death”.. I set debug = true in the config file and found that the theme made several references to the plugin, and was defining new variable names for it in the functions.php file. After deleting all of that nonsense, white screen went away, and everything workd as intended

Using complex elements in the tabs/accordions/tour sections is actually a bad idea: a) because we rely on javascript and javascript have problems initializing in the the hidden tabs b) Your users will have a hard time finding your “hidden” content.

Make sure to check Settings->Visual Composer there you can check for what content types Visual Composer should be available.

Great, that fixed that, I was finding it hard to believe that the title was not just to keep the name simple as post and page type are that that different. Great stuff!

This sounds like an isolated problem to your setup. I just checked and don’t see any problems. Strange that your are referring only to ui-custom-less, because actually all files are using absolutely the same loading mechanism.

It was actually 6 or 7 files, but I only referenced one since I assumed it was the loading mechanism.

It is a bit strange that it’d be my setup though, since the old version works just fine. And I have nothing in the theme I’m developing that would conflict with VC. Not that I can see, anyway.

in recent 4.2 update we made a lot of code logic improvements, it was a big refactor and performance wise release. But I’m 100% sure that all css files are loading for me, may be you can try to setup another wp on a webhost instead of the local setup? To check how it behaves there?

You should deactivate old version first, then hit delete button and only then install new version.

I sent a ticket to support and within the hour they replied and an hour later they sent me a update 4.2.1. (wich will be available later to all. Everything is working beautifully again. Big 5*star support guys

Visual Composer works with your theme, with VC you create content for your site, not a theme itself.

that worked , thanks. Would be great if you could spent some time on the vc_map admin enqueue for the front end editor – or do you have another solution? A Conditional when the font page editor is active? So we can use it to enqueue the necessary script ?

Make sure to hook your vc_map() function calls in WP init hook. In 4.2 we introduced correct file/classes loading (Lazy loading). Originally all files were included within main js_composer.php file with simple require() function calls. As a result all code was available at any time moment, this might be handy, but slow down things.

Hi, this is a really old version of WP you mentioned and I think there will be problems. We are testing VC always for latest versions of WP. So suggesting you to update your WP version.
