This plugin looks great, but I have a question about its compatibility with BuddyPress.

Is there a way to replace Buddypress profile links with Userpro’s? Does BuddyPress’ Activity Feed show in UserPro’s? Timeline for Message Add-On? Can I add ShortCodes or php code from other plugins to display data user’s profiles?

Essentially, I feel this plugin’s profiles looks a whole lot better than BuddyPress, but I worried about losing the sitewide activity, users getting confused with having two profiles, and having the ability to display data from other plugins on user profiles.

If these concerns can be taken care of, you’d definitely have me as a customer.

I just noticed that the user profile picture doesn’t show on comments when logged in with social logins (Facebook,Twitter,G+)

And for some reason my bookmark shows the field twice on the front end only when i am on desktop version but not on mobile or tablet version.

Can I have certain users have access to content ‘x’, while other users have access to content ‘y’ , correct? Is this done automatically, perhaps by creating two versions of the registration form, one registration form for ‘x’ content, and another registration for ‘y’ content, correct? Or is this done manually in the admin where every time a new user registers, I have to move them manually in to the proper user category???

Does your system allow me to create custom forms using your form-builder, with the intent of adding those custom forms to authenticated PrivateContent areas, for the purpose of collecting and saving to the database more data/info about registered users?

Hi, A Pre purchase question. This plugin looks ideal for what i need. I have a site which is a paid membership site using magic members plugin to process payment. The site then uses buddypress to allow users to register, manage profiles and interact. Will User pro work with magic members? Or would i need to find another payment process? I only really use MM for payments, buddypress gathers all the profile data. thanks

@colecoboy84 You just upload and overwrite(be careful if u made any changes to the css or php files, like customization, and overwrite it you will lose it) the files and folders from the userpro.zip file you download via FTP to your server.No need to deactivate/delete the plugin.

I installed the user pro and then activated it and then i get this error no matter where i go while logged into Wordpress…i cannot edit anything…the only way i can do anything is if i then go to my FTP account and delete the pluggin and then I can log in again…this sucks…why did i just buy something i can’t use?…someone please help…

For some reason when I use “[userpro template=postsbyuser postsbyuser_types=vehicle postsbyuser_thumb]” I’m not able to control the size of the thumbnail. I’m trying to pull all the posts for a specific user for a specific post time and need to make the thumbnail smaller.

Would like to know if the FrontEnd post publishing function will add Tag?

Will this work in mobile device? (I was testing the demo site on iPhone with Google Chrome and as soon as I tab to choose from the Category selection it crashed the browser, not sure if you also experience the same issue.)

Also will user be able to edit the published posts from the FrontEnd as well?

Is there a link in the menu or the user profile once the registered user has logged in to the site so they know that they can publish the post? (any role restriction that we can manage to allow only certain users or verified users to publish the post?)

However, Im having big problems getting it to work along side buddypress. User uploaded avatars in UserPro work most places on the side (bbPress etc…) but dont work in buddypress, which retains its own user uploaded or default avatars. This is a real shame as its one of the main reasons i bought the plugin was to get it working along side buddypress. I notice now after some digging that other people have also had this problem:

I think perhaps you should remove this line from the overview page, as it doesn’t seem to be true for everyone:

“User-uploaded avatars work everywhere (theme comments, bbPress, BuddyPress, etc)”
