Hi Using the latest version 3.7.2 the visual composer will not load in IE8, it just says loading constantly so have to use classic editor, it is also doing the same thing on PC when using chrome. Unfortunately my clients are using IE8 throughout their office because of certain requirements so cannot upgrade. Any thoughts on what could be causing this ? Many Thanks

Hi Thing is i have been putting together site on my mac for client and its all been fine both older and new version. I went to show client and give tutorial on how to use and they were using IE8 and we just couldn’t get it to load, so its the first time i had tried it with IE8 to be fair. Have tried it today on a couple of other machines using IE8 and same result.
hmm… I’ll check. We also working on the macs so it will be hard to find a win machine over here

using the latest version 3.7.2 after inserting the posts carousel then viewing the page, the page stopped working, it kept loading until it timed out, and nothing is displayed
I removed the carousel, it worked again.

Simply switch to the Visual Composer mode and select call to action block from available elements. Then enter your text and link for button.

Hi and thank you for the awesome feedback. We don’t have such instructions compiled. I suggest to look in the rows and columns. With rows, you can divide your content into logic “rows” and then place content to the columns.

I made custom block that is extended text block (with Title and dropdown list that contains predefined styles for that block). Then I noticed that there is unwanted empty paragraph injected before and after custom block content when I pass content through do_shortcode() or wpb_js_remove_wpautop().
Then I try with builtin WordPress Text widget, and got same issue – empty paragraphs before and after block content.

WordPress have only VisualComposer active (no other plugins), theme is Headway Base (also I try Twenty Thirteen), no javascript or any other tweaks.

with blurry i mean .. that the text do not seem sharp. more blurry than sharp.
but i will revert back to prev update. for now.
We tested that on mac and win and didn’t notice any blurriness. I will appreciate if you could share more details (screenshot and your browser details).
Before i test it again. Have you updated the smaller errors, So text can be edited ?
The problem you are referring to, is happening on your site only (we don’t have such a problem here). If you could share your login details throw our ticket system, I can check that for you and see what’s happening.
Do not misunderstand me. I have used this plugin for some time and is happy for it.
I just installed the update and can now type and edit.

There is a bug in Visual Composer. Its keep on loading nothing can be edited anymore. Kindly tell me how to overcome this problem.

in the last 4-5 months you told us you will fix the symbolic link issue. Basically visual composer doesn’t work when it’s installed in a symbolic link folder. I can only reproduce it locally on windows when the plugin is working in theme mode and the theme is loaded via a symbolic link.
We encountered this issue on at least 10 installs but unfortunately I can’t get the needed access to the clients servers to see exactly what’s up.
I tried to modify VC to work with simple includes but I always get stuck 
.

No VC can’t create theme (files) it helps you design theme content (content that is outputted with wp_content() function).
Also, extended license doesn’t allow you multiple use (multiple clients). Here you can read more about licenses: http://codecanyon.net/licenses

Visual composer comes with the “increase” theme i bought on Themeforest. When i try to use Visual Content Composer i cannot edit an object. Looks like css issue. You should ask that to your theme provider, they should be able to trace that problem fast.

When adding a few paragraphs to a text block the first paragraph does not get wrapped with a p tag? Why is this? I am getting the below when I look at the code:

My html tags did not show within this comment area. Basically I end up with an empty p tag after the first paragraph.

Hi, The Revolution Slider Element to Visual Composer only works for 100 sliders. Beyond that, it’s not possible to choose the slider from the dropdown because it does not display more than 100 options. This is at “Edit Revolution Slider – Revolution Slider.”
Revolution Slider and Visual Composer combined is a happy integration and makes things so much easier for me. In fact I use it all the time on my site. I especially like the template option because it saved me countless hours doing stuff that need not be repeated.
I just passed my 101 posts with Visual Composer and Revolution Slider and this issue came up for me – my 101th slider cannot be loaded onto my page with Visual Composer because the options don’t go beyond a hundred sliders. I had to use classic mode and add the short code on top of the page without using Visual Composer.
Please help with me this. I want to be able to add another thousand or so Revolution Sliders with Visual Composer again. Thanks.

Sorry, I skipped your comment somehow last time. I thought I fixed that with latest update, but it looks like I fixed that only for Layer slider.
To hot fix the problem, please open wp-content/plugins/js_composer/config/map.php and edit this line:
ORDER BY id ASC LIMIT 100to look like this
ORDER BY id ASC LIMIT 999

Hi Mixey, I’ve just downloaded, installed and activated VC on my wordpress site.
I’ve divided my page into three columns and I have added a text block to one of the columns. However when I add content to the text block, there seems to be no way for me to save the content. The pop up text block where I add content seems longer than my screen and I cannot seem to scroll to a save button. The last item I see in the text block is Extra Class Name. Please could you tell me how to save my text!

Okay, nevermind that question. After testing things out, I’d like to know a couple of things before purchasing. I am “JPW testing VC” on your demo.
1- How is this different than a well-coded shortcodes plugin?
2- Regarding inserting images, there is no lightbox. But if you already have a lightbox plugin installed on your WordPress, will that lightbox work on the images inserted into the VC?
3- What determines what goes in a widgetized sidebar? I was unable to control the contents.
4- I have no idea how to use the pie charts and progress bars. Is there a tutorial?

1. VC is actually stores content in the shortcodes, so it simply adds awesome interface to work with them.
2. All lightboxes requires class name in the paren tag, so if you will have that class name, then yes. no problems with that.
3. Appearance->Widgets you can see all registered widgetised areas on your site. To manage them, we suggest to look to the custom plugins to manage sidebars (WooSidebars).
