Pre-Purchase Details
We are interested int his product, however, after digging through admin area I don’t see where you could add a blockout, or the max days ahead you can book a service?
For the blockouts, our workers providing the service do get to go on vacation once in a while (lol), but there inst any way (I can see) of setting those dates as unavailable.
Another blockout issue would be able to block out days like that for holidays.. where is this?
It doesn’t make sense you would have something so robust without the ability to account for holidays or blockouts.. which is why im sure it is there but im not seeing it.
Lastly, it would be nice to set the max days ahead a service can be scheduled to account for these blockouts in the future.
The blockout feature is a deal breaker if it is unavailable.

You can blockout any number of days/times in MANUAL BOOKING section. The reason why it is called manual booking is that many of our customers are using this section to manually book customers who register over the phone… initially this section was created exactly for blocking time for holidays / vacations 
The “max days ahead” is available in multi-day calendars – it’s called “Days before booking” and in single-day calendars it’s called – “Time before booking (in hours)”

So i create an “empty booking” under manual bookings? I like how you re-purposed that feature field it makes sense.
What im attempting to say is.. I want the customers to only be able to book appointments say 30 days out max, to allow staff members to take time off or whatnot.
We are a non-profit that supports homeless and disabled U.S. veterans www.osdnashville.org. We don’t charge for any of our services for the veterans everything is free.
We provide everything from clothes to food, housing, employment, resumes, disability representation, ongoing education, addition therapy, and training: Financial Empowerment, Interview skills, etc…

If I understood you correctly – all services which you provide are hourly appointments ? In terms of “30 days out max” – that’s actually over way around, you can specify how many days BEFORE they can book… I think it will be much better if you will contact us directly by email support@convergine.com – our friendly customer support will be glad to test your scenarios on our development server (please allow 24-48 hours though for them to reply). You can just copy paste the this thread or URL to the thread in your email and I will notify them as well.
I emailed support.. one last thing.. You can’t change the booking form? I don’t see where you can change it. 90% of my clients are homeless or disabled and do not have an email address. i don’t need email functionality for all of them so that field is not required for me. I need to add a Client ID field or a last four field.

As for the booking form – you can change it only through the code at the moment. We can assist you through the support forums on how to make email field optional instead of mandatory, in case you can’t edit the php code of the form to completely remove it.

Hello, is it possible implement this feature but only for registered users of WP as follows.. - if member of group X then they can make reservation anytime (even that day) - if member of group Y then they can make reservation only on next day

Major bug in your system!
Event was successfully created!
But when viewing the list of events, nothing is there!
I go back and click SAVE on the Service… Check list of services, Yep, no problem.
I then go back to the tab where I was creating the event, save again. Success saved.
List of events…. NOTHING!
Seems like your system cannot handle Multi-Day Events + Multi-Day Services! 
Not impressed. I thought this would be rock solid given the number of purchases. 
Hmmm So will this allow us to:
- Create a “training course” (for example) that runs Mon – Wed.
- Have the Service repeat each week for people to book.
- Create 3 events for the service to be available at – e.g. 3 different cities.
None of this works so far!

Thanks for your interest in our product.
Unfortunately I cannot confirm the bug you’re referencing. When you open list of events – be sure to select the service where you actually created the event. By default you land to the first service when you click “Events” – there is a dropdown with option to select other services – and events assigned to those services will appear there.
As for your questions:
1) Yes, BookingWizz allows to have multi-day services and multi-day events. However you should try the demo (considering my comment above) and decide whether our implementation of such functionality is suitable for you or not.
2) You can have recurring events.
3) Each city would need to have separate service, if I understood your logic correctly. Or you can name your events like Event 1 City 1; Event 1 City 2; Event 1 @ City 3; – all on the same service(service=calendar, each service has it’s own, separate calendar)

I think you may have misunderstood me
Follow the steps I outlined to you above and FILL IN ALL FIELDS on each page. e.g. DROP-DOWN’s and multiple date ranges and times.
If it took me 20 minutes to find afer playing around on your demo, then it is obviously going to be easy for others to repeat.
Create Multi-Day Service
Create Multi-Day Event
Simple. The multi-day event does not display in the calendar OR the list of events (from where it was created).....
So you can’t have the form:
Q: Choose “Service”....
Q: Choose City…..
Q: Choose from available events (e.g. choose 3 day’s x 3 hours OR 1 day x 8 hours)..
Obviously some will span 3 days, others will span 1 day only.

I would assume I create 1 service. Then add events for Toronto, Canada, then Kingston, Jamaica and then Los Angeles, USA.
So service shows info etc. Event has pricing and repeating times at locations…
Have multiple services and multiple events just sounds far too complicated – effectively doing twice the amount of work and double entry!

I want to buy this, but need to know it will be flexible, straight forward and logical.

I don’t think BookingWizz will be suitable out of the box for your business. We don’t have such option to first select service then city. The only way how it is possible – as I explained previously, Service for CityName, Service for CityName 2, Service for CityName 3… and then you would add as many events as you need for each service(city). Otherwise you will need to adjust the code yourself.
So there would not be any advantage adding this to BookingWhizz?
I would have thought it quite useful for someone wanting to make a booking, to first filter by location, and then view all options in that location…?
Then the customer is not overwhelmed with options and choices that are not applicable, meaning they are more likely to see all available options to where they want to visit.
It would be an advantage for BookingWizz if we had such functionality, however there’s tons of other functions which are pending to be developed before that. At the moment, unfortunately there is no direct support for Multi-Locations, and I cannot provide and ETA when/if we will add this functionality.

We did not use MVC model for our product. Also, there is no OOP – simple php code.
Pre purchase question We are looking for a chalet booking system but require variable min stays based on day of the week and “special” days. Do you think your script would be suitable?
eg if the booking is a fri a min of 2 nights is required. If the following monday is a special day like a holiday then it is 3 nights All other nights have a min of 1 night

You can include small calendar on any php page – this is explained in documentation file which comes with the product. It has to be PHP file. If you want to include php code in HTML files – it is possible if you will enable php processing in html files through htaccess file or through your hosting provider. If they cannot enable this for you – you will need to use iframe to include regular calendar into your html page.

Any paypal account will do if you’re ok with redirecting customers to paypal for payment. If you want to process credit cards directly on your site – you need to have paypal pro account and SSL certificate.

1. At the moment – no. You will be able to specify how many days is the minimum booking in new version though.
2. You can specify how many days in advance booking can be made – in settings – it’s called “Days before booking” in multi-day calendars.
I have a pre-purchase question
I have a wordpress website and I want to add this booking system to my website. As far as I have understood I have to buy the script and later an add-on plugin for wordpress.
1. is it difficult to install this script. I have read comments from people saying that there is no proper documentation for that. I am not exactly computer-savy – is that something I have to upload to cpanel?
2. can I offer 2 different choices – e.g a. free consultation b. paid session in the same booking calender and if I cannot, can I do it in 2 different calenders? and if so, can i manage 2 different calenders from the control panel
3. I can accept paypal – but for credit cards I need another add-on?
4. any estimate on the mobile support update?

Yes, you need both products, booking system and wordpress addon, in order to use it in wordpress.
1. It’s not hard, and that is exactly what we have in the documentation – how to install the system/addon. You need to upload it to proper location and then access install page from browser.
2.You can have unlimited number of calendars. As for free/ paid sessions – there is no option to grant customer such choice, it is defined by you. You can create some events with “free” price tag and some “paid” on the same calendar. If you will explain your business model a bit more – we may suggest some other solutions within our software.
3. If you want to process credit cards WITHIN your site, so that customers wouldn’t need to leave your site to make a payment – yes, you do need our credit card addon for bookingwizz. If you’re fine with redirecting customers to paypal.com for payment (where they can also pay by card) – then you don’t need that addon.

what I mean is if someone books on website A and another person books on website B – could I see both bookings together in the same control panel – or would each website need to install its own booking website and they would not be able to coordinate together
1. It’s not too difficult. You just have to follow instructions. Installation page is needed because you need to enter your database information (where to create tables for BookingWizz) and license validations (item purchase code is the license key – you get it when you download it from downloads section after purchase)
2. In this case I would create a coupon for a 1 time use per customer with value equaling to 1 session fee. So, all sessions will be paid, but customer can enter the coupon for first free session – please try live demo (both admin and front end) to try it and see how it works for you.
3. You can schedule 20 minute sessions – you will need to add 20 minute interval in the code – which is really easy and we’ve replied to several such inquiries on the support forum – so you should be able to do it easily.
4. Since you will be using wordpress in both sites – there is no easy way to do what you described, it will require certain knowledge to do it. I would suggest 2 separate installations (please note that each installation requires separate license key/purchase) because of that. In general – you could install bookingwizz on 1 site and then use iframe to display it on the other site for example – in this case you need only 1 license key and only 1 installation.
has the iframe thing been tested or is there anyone who made it work? i know it does not always run smoothly
iframe was the only way you could use bookingwizz in wordpress until we released separate addon – bookingwizz for wordpress, and many customers used bookingwizz in iframe before that. It’s not necessarily the best solution – but it is easy one.
Is there any way to see the fill year?

I see, My Client said that they can not find anything of sorts and feel that it is the best feature they used on one of their booking agent sites:
Is it for the administration purposes ? Or for front-end users as well ?
We need it mainly for Admin – I could imagine others might want it for front end users, but that’s not as important. An admin would like to see at a glance what is happening with his bookings without scrolling through month, by month.

I like your script very much. this is probably the only most advanced script so far for booking, and i been searching and searching. It would probably do what we need on online booking site we are building for our client now, but we still will need to be able to modify it a little. 3 questions. 1. is the script editable or encrypted? 2.is the wordpress plugin supports responsive layout? (i see this question was asked here couple months ago. any updates on this important part yet?) 3. is it possible to create 2 different types of booking for same timeframe or within the same calendar (for example Booking A 9.00-10.00 am – 4 spaces, Booking B 9.00-10.00- 7 spaces)? thanks.

1. yes, you can edit it. It is not encrypted.
2. Unfortunately, not at this time. Mobile “friendly” functionality will be released sometime this year, either as update to existing product or as addon, we’re still deciding which way to go about this.
3. Yes, it is possible. In your particular scenario you would need to set 11 spaces per hour in calendar settings, then it will be possible.

Unfortunately that’s not possible without adjustments. We can only suggest to get some temporary development hosting – that’s always better instead of local server.
I’ve purchased this calendar, set up everything that was necessary, and run the install.php file. All tables have been created in the necessary database and everything SHOULD be working correctly, but it’s not.
I’ve created 1 event, which I’ve found in my database, but is not showing up in the eventList.php! Similar with calendar services that I have tried scheduling…

Unfortunately no. Currently admin sets how clients pay and clients do not have such option during the checkout.
