I was wondering. Can I link the download option to a word instead to the button? Now I see a button which needs to be clicked, but I would love to use the word “Download” used as a link, like in this text: “Download my free e-book now.”

That is not possible by default but can be possible to display the button as just a text link through some custom CSS so please provide us the URL where you have integrated our plugin and we will provide the custom CSS.

Hello and thank you for replying. The culprit is Wp Bakery, when I uninstall it, the toggles work. Maybe it’s something you would want to look into since wp bakery is an important plugin. I have version 8.1.

Hello, I’ve noticed there are no anti-spam settings available. I installed the “Simple Cloudflare Turnstile” plugin, but it doesn’t work with the “Subscribe to Download” feature, and reCAPTCHA doesn’t appear.
Could you please add some anti-spam measures? Without them, I’m concerned that spammers may overwhelm my servers’ resources.
I was planning to use your plugin today for the first time and we stopped when we found out this issue. It’s rather significant and should’ve been the first feature implemented!

Great, I know you can do it! I’d recommend just a quick and simple Google reCAPTCHA V3 integration because it’s better to have one reliable protection option available sooner than a robust multiple choice spam solution later with forms left open to spam attacks.
Some feedback. It would help the UX if required fields had the asterisk (*), preferably red, next to the form field. As for the functionality, it’d be great to have a “Heading” type field which could be inserted in the custom fields to separate form mini-sections, for example heading saying Address and then the standard address fields. Also the “country select” field would be great but I know that’s asking too much because of the maintenance.

Thank you for you reply. That is not possible with our plugin. And since our plugin is a subscription plugin so adding the payment for downloading won’t make sense with the actual functionality of the plugin.
But there is already a plugin which is built for similar functionality named “Easy Digital Downloads” using which you can charge people for letting them download the specific digital products.

Thank you for providing us the link to check. It seems your file is being blocked by browser from being downloaded because the URL of the download file has just http instead of https. When we manually copied the file URL and pasted in the browser and added https then it got downloaded properly. Please check the screenshots below for an easy reference.

Thank you so much for this help! But its still not working. I’ve though it might be in my general options setting where the WordPress Address (URL). Changed it to https://, cleared my cache, ran the form again and still doesn’t work. Still displays http://. In the “Download Email Message” content all i have it set is this—> “ #download_link ” listed. Am I missing something else?! 1. can the popup be delayed for a few seconds after page/post loads. I am looking at between 10 – 30 seconds
2. I want to make people pay before they read certain posts or make downloads. Is it possible for payments to be made before downloading using this plugin? If yes, will the system recognize i have paid for a download (i have a table of downloadable PDFs) of a particular pdf doc if i try to download the same pdf multiple times or i have to pay each time i try to download that same doc i have initially paid for?
3. Can this plugin be used in a situation where i want users to subscribe before reading a post? In other words, when a user clicks on a post on my blog and the post loads, the popup comes on and the user must subscribe otherwise the user will not be able to read the post
