Hello,
I have the settings to insert comments box automatically, but it only does it for the normal WP Posts. It doesn’t insert to any Custom Post Types.
Also, when I add a comment on a normal post, I see the comment immediately, but when I refresh the page, it’s gone. Even when I approve the comment in the backend.

I have some PHP knowledge and could write an insert statement to catch comment contents and create a notification record. If CommentPress can work with this hook, this would be incredible!
Of course, it does. The plugin already uses native WordPress functions to insert comments, such as “wp_new_comment”.
We even use that same hook on occasion within the plugin.

However WP-Images from the media library currently use the boring default WP comment form. According to the changelog it contains “Allow Comments in Custom Post Types”. Does CommentPress support WP attachments or WP native images similar to WP having comments for images? Even if it wasn’t supported out of the box I have a custom theme with some PHP knowledge and could modify the attachment page display with: echo display_saic($post_id); Basically wondering if there is a programmatic way to load the comment form of a specific image. I have a lightbox with a script that can get the ID of the currently displayed image, then can pass it to a PHP script to load elements on the side.

Our plugin does not allow image uploads, you can only add the image from a url.
display_saic($post_id) will work for any Post, Image that allows comment insertion.
I think so, as I said above if it has post_id then it will work.

All the pages are the same issue, the first time open the page, it can’t autoload the comment, but when refresh the page, it usually alright. here is one of the example:

In computer and android environment chrome, even you click the like button, the page will reload and the counter will minus one.
In Mac Safari, the counter will also minus one, but don’t have the reload problem.
In IOS safari, when click one, nothing change, but when double click, the page reload and the counter will minus one.
Seems only Firefox working well in such situation.

The input is not sanitized from the HTML tags. If the user paste a text into the comment field, the b tag with the text will be rendered. Is it a feature?
Hello, I’m back again with another question. Sometimes when I open a page where I have the shortcode placed, instead of loading the comment it only shows “Busted!” text unless I purge all my cache. Do you have any idea why this happen? Appreciate your help. Thank you.

another question just came up: is there a setting to show or hide the comments on the pages and posts, depending on the option “Allow comments” in the pages and posts?
The “Comments area closed” display does not look good here, it would be nicer if the comments were not displayed when the option is deactivated.

we bought and installed your plugin today and encountered the following errors and questions:
1. contrary to the setting in Wordpress, all comments of the plugin are published immediately. This is not desired, comments must be checked and approved by us before publication.
2. the order in the settings for sorting the comments is implemented incorrectly: “Newest Comments” lists the oldest comments first, “Oldest Comments” theoretically shows the correct order, but if not all comments are loaded (“Number maximum of comments to load”), only the oldest comments with the specified number are displayed.
This means that in order to display the comments sorted from new to old, the order “Oldest Comments” must be selected and “Number maximum of comments to load” must be greater than the actual number.
3. the buttons to insert images, videos, and links open a dialogue for the input, but this cannot be transferred to the comment with “accept”, nothing further happens with a click.
Please check the above points in an own installation, admin access to our site is unfortunately very problematic due to customer data and the GDPR.

Hi there, I noticed that my comment section won’t show more than 30 comments even though I’ve already changed the default settings on the content tab to load 100 comments. I’ve also purged my cache but nothing happens on the front-end. How can I troubleshoot this? Thanks in advance.
