We changed domain for our site, but I can’t seem to be able to activate plugin for some reason back on. It says that domain is invalid.

Do I have to buy new licence key? We are non profit youth organization, so if its possible we would like to move licence from old domain to the new one.

Thank you for help.

Hi,

Hello,

I am experiencing a license activation issue with your Stachethemes Event Calendar plugin in a WordPress multisite environment.

The license is correctly activated on the main domain: https://horizonrespect.fr However, when I try to activate the same license on a subdomain belonging to the same multisite: https://intranet.horizonrespect.fr the activation is rejected.

Both domains are part of the same project, the same server, the same root domain, and the subdomain is used strictly for internal purposes (intranet).

Could you please activate the license for this subdomain or allow its use within this multisite setup?

Thank you in advance for your assistance. Kind regards, Kader

The calendar is activated on the subdomain now.

You’re welcome. Wishing you an excellent day as well.

Hello,

- My BuddyPress members can’t create events and get the message: “Sorry, you are not allowed to do that.”

- When members have permissions in the Dashboard settings, they can edit events that don’t belong to them!

- How can each member create paid tickets?

Thx

Hi,

In Calendar Dashboard -> Settings -> Dashboard, add “Public” or at least “Logged-in Users” to the “Manage events” option.

This acts as a master switch and is the first condition checked to determine whether a user can submit events at all.

Then in Dashboard -> Calendars -> Edit Calendar there is a “Use Permission” setting that further restricts who can submit events to that specific calendar. In this setting keep only the BuddyPress group.

Note: if the user is super-admin this filter won’t work for them. Super admins are not restricted.

Members can’t create paid tickets unless they have permission to manage your WooCommerce store and this can be done only from the back-end at the moment.

Okay, I thought it would work easily with BuddyPress, but I see it’s not quite there yet and the plugin is actually complicated for members to use. It’s a shame the payment option isn’t available to everyone. Could you please refund the amount I paid? Thank you.

Hi Stachethemes, I saw few comments about Dokan & WCFM. Have you test it with one of them, is compatible?

Thank you :)

Hi,

No, I haven’t tested the plugin with these.

Hello, I’m having trouble entering my activation key. “Failed to connect to stachethemes.com” What should I do? Thank you

Hi,

Open a ticket at https://stachethemes.ticksy.com/ and send me your key and website address and I will try to activate it on my end.

It’s been sent

Hi! Is it possible to disable the lightbox (magnifying glass) for the image in the pop-up view version? Some users find it doesn’t load correctly. Thanks

Hi,

No, I am afraid it’s not possible. What you can do is remove the images from the Event Images section and place the images as description content.

Do you have the problem on our demo as well ( https://stachethemes.com/calendar/full-calendar/ ) ? It’s possible your theme is messing something.

Hi

1. DARK MODE: We are using Reign theme on Elementor (by WBCOMDESIGNS) a premium theme. STEC looks amazing visually, but I see it is not deferring to the dark mode functions of the theme nor reacting when dark and light mode are switched. https://prnt.sc/3qvmMAO4VyBr Is there a way to improve the adherance to this?

2.SLUG EDITING: I have edited the slug options I’ve seen to be branded to our liking, but noticed in this path it still has ”/stec-bp-member-events/” within the url. Is it possible to edit this slug pattern, and if so, where can we do it: https://ourdomain.com/members/myusername/stec-bp-member-events/

We were looking for something more like below without any plugin references: https://ourdomain.com/members/myusername/my-events/

Thanks for your continued support, we’re really excited about incorporating this plugin for our users

Hello, can I have a response to this please? (happy holidays)

Hi,

1. I am afraid the calendar doesn’t have option for dynamic dark/light mode.

2. This option will be available in 5.5.

You will have able to modify your link to something like this:

...members/member-name/my-events/event/event-title

Is it possible to translate your plugin correctly using Poedit, or do I have to install another plugin for my website (Loco Translate)?

For now, I’m trying to translate it by uploading the .po and .mo files to the languages/plugins folder, but that doesn’t display it in Polish on the front end of the website :(

Poedit won’t work because it doesn’t generate the necessary json files. I’d recommend you to do it with the Loco Translate plugin.

Hi there,

I’m setting up Stachethemes Event Calendar (SEC) with BuddyPress groups. I’ve reviewed the documentation and the Ticksy article about BuddyPress integration, and I need clarification on how to streamline group-owned event creation.

Right now it appears that for a BuddyPress group to have its own calendar, a site admin must manually:

1. Create a new SEC calendar 2. Bind that calendar to the BuddyPress group 3. Add the calendar view to the group page

It seems that only after those steps can a group admin or members create events for that group.

My question is:

Is there any way for group admins to automatically have a calendar available, or to create/request their own group calendar without platform admin intervention?

If there is any supported method — automation hook, setting, shortcode, hidden option, or workflow that allows a BuddyPress group admin to enable Events for their group themselves — please let me know.

If not, is automated calendar creation on group creation something that could be added to SEC in a future update? This would make BP group event management significantly smoother for community-driven platforms.

Thanks in advance for the clarification!

Thank you for your answer on point 1. That’s a fantastic catch. Much appreciated.

Can you please speak to the other points as well since I am actively working on the site for a launch.

Are you able to check/address those other issues ~ clarify any missing pieces? point 2, point 3 a, and b, (do we still need to keep your php code to create groups and bind them automatically, or can I remove it since you’ve apparently already incorporated this in the main code?) and point 4 a, b, and c

Much appreciated.

Hello, can you please respond to this it’s almost a month (despite Christmas)

Hi,

Version 5.5 will fix the problem with private events showing up on the front-end publicly.

About your main calendar – you can filter out calendars that you don’t want to display there by adding “cal” shortcode attribute.

Example: [stec cal=1,2,3]

The new activity links will now point to the internal group page.

I am afraid the activity notifications are global meaning you can either turn off notifications for the calendar or turn them on but these includes Submit, Edit and Delete notifications. There is no option in the admin to specify what type to display.

You can make the event time to display in user’s timezone from Settings -> Calendar settings -> “Show dates in user’s local time”. When submitting an event however users should be aware of the calendar timezone they are submitting to unless you insert “Timezone” selector via the Builder so they can select timezone for that event, otherwise the calendar timezone is used.

“Is there any way to make the organizer listed as the User who posted the event?”

- No, because the user submitted the event may not be the organizer and also there can be multiple organizers. Organizer =/= event author.

“do we still need to keep your php code to create groups “

- Yes, the calendar doesn’t automatically create bp calendar for each buddypress group you have.

“I’ve looked so many times for this, but how can we make the create new event submission form show UNDER the event list”

- There’s no option for this. There is option to show it above ( for month, grid, map layouts ) but there is no option to show it below the list.

Hello, is it possible to show the day so mon, tues, wed, thurs, fri, sat, sun, in the events currently, its DD/MM/YY so for example 25th Nov 2025, but we want the ability to show Tue, 25th, November 2025.

Hi,

Go to Calendar Dashboard -> Settings -> Calendar.

In the Date Format field, select “Your WordPress Settings”.

This option will use the date format you’ve configured in your WordPress settings.

Hello there, is possible to add multiple locations to one event? I want to see what streets are covered by one event (like collecting scrap appliances for example) – from your demo I can’t see this option and wondering if this can be aquired. Thank you!

Hi,

No, an event can have only one location.

If the event has more than one location, you can duplicate the event and assign a different location to each copy.

For the calendar feature. After logging in as the admin In the STEC>Calendars I created a new calendar and I have given the edit option to the admin and usage option is enaled for logged in users. Under STEC>settings for “Select user roles permitted to submit and manage calendars ” I have only selected “Administrator”. The issue what I am facing is even after doing the above configurations, as a user from the frontend, I am unable to select the calendars that are created by the admin. I don’t want the users to create new calendars only use the calendars created by the admin. As per my knowledge I am on the correct path and have done the configurations correctly… but still the users are not getting the option to select the calendar created by the admin.

Hi,

In the Calendar Settings -> Dashboard -> Manage Events add “Logged in users” role as well.

I’m trying to deactivate from an old website that is no longer active so I can install on a new website project. The https://api3.stachethemes.com/stec/manage does not appear to be working to do that. I keep getting the error “Error connecting to remote server”. Are there other methods to reset? I tried emailing support but have not heard back.

Sorry, it’s possible I’ve missed your mail. Could you send me your purchase key to stachethemes@gmail.com and I will reset your key.

Thank you. Just re-sent the email from last week.

Please do you have a hook for us, to show the badge for “no more slots available” (fully booked) also on the overview site, in monthly view? At the moment, its only visible very small at the end of the event detail site. Thank you

Hello. Please advise the calendar code. A map with events from a single category, all events displayed on the map (and in the list on the right) at once. Since all events in this category are cyclical and repeat every year, may be better to set the option to display events a year in advance.

How to show events as a widget “Events List” so that the list contains the five closest events from a certain category.. Thanks.

For example, when publishing this code [stec_events_list stec_cal=”55” limit=”3” filter__min_date=”start_of_today”] the calendar shows three events from April of this year.

To filter by catagery include stec_cat= attribute

Hello, 1) can the text belonging to the ToS checkbox field be linked to the actual ToS site? 2) can we add custom checkboxes and link the text to other sites? 2) does the event description field accept shortcodes from other plugins (example a newsletter plugin shortcode) ? Thank you

update: we found already.. 1) solved, its possible to use html 2) solved, custom checkboxes are also possible 3) question remains open – are shortcodes from other plugins possible?
