I’d like to report another issue encountered during testing that affects basic customization.
In ARMember, it is not possible to properly set or enforce a Default Cover Image from the backend. As a result, when users attempt to change their cover image from the frontend, the ARMember watermark unexpectedly appears or reappears, even when a default image should already be in place.
This behavior creates a poor user experience on the frontend and limits control for site owners, especially when branding and presentation matter. A default cover image set by the admin should be respected consistently and should not trigger watermark behavior during normal user actions.
This feels like a basic configuration workflow that should work reliably out of the box. If this is intentional, it should be clearly documented; otherwise, it appears to be a bug that affects real-world usage and frontend appearance.
Sharing this so potential users are aware and in the hope it gets properly addressed.
Hello,
There is no such issue reported before, so I suggest you to reach out to our technical support team from here: https://suuport.arpluginshop.com and they will review this one-on-one and if there is any such issue encountered then they will resolve it and assist you accordingly.
Thanks
Hello,
Thank you for the response. I appreciate the support offer.
Regarding “no such issue reported before” – well, every bug has a first reporter, right?
I’ve already documented the issue thoroughly:
REPRODUCIBLE STEPS: 1. Fresh ARMember install on Eduma theme 2. LiteSpeed Cache active 3. Edit social links in /my-profile/ 4. Click Save → Links stripped from database 5. Requires 2-3 attempts before persistence
IMPACT: - User profile social links don’t save - Poor UX (users think feature is broken) - Affects any site with LiteSpeed Cache + ARMember
TEMPORARY WORKAROUND: I’ve created a custom snippet that captures POST data before ARMember processing + auto-purges cache. It works perfectly.
SUGGESTION FOR YOUR TEAM: This appears to be a cache conflict issue. ARMember saves data correctly, but cached pages display old data, making users think the save failed. Consider adding built-in cache purge hooks after profile updates for popular cache plugins (LiteSpeed, WP Rocket, etc.).
I’m happy to provide more details, but I’d encourage your team to test with LiteSpeed Cache active – that’s likely the trigger.
Hope this helps improve ARMember for all users!
Best regards
Hello,
Thank you sharing the detailed steps, we have passed this to the team and if there is any issue found then it will surely be fixed.
Thanks
After testing the plugin, I ran into a couple of workflow issues that are important for potential buyers to be aware of.
In Manage Members, the “+ Add Member” button does not allow adding or converting an already registered WordPress user into an ARMember user. This is a very common and expected use case (especially for site owners testing their own setup), and the absence of this option is surprising for a membership plugin.
Additionally, the “Change Status” action is visible and clickable for members, but opening it presents a modal with no usable status options. This makes the feature effectively non-functional while still being exposed in the UI.
If these behaviors are intentional, they should be clearly documented or reflected in the interface. As it stands, the UI suggests functionality that either does not exist or is not accessible, which can lead to confusion during evaluation and setup.
I’m sharing this feedback so prospective users can make an informed decision, and in the hope that these basic workflow gaps will be addressed.
Hello,
ARMember directly syncs with the WordPress users, which means that all the users available at the WordPress Users page will automatically be available and they can be accessed for Edit/Update at the ARMember Manage Members page.
For the change status, ARMember provides a facility to set the status from Active, Pending, Terminate, and Inactive, which you can change according to your requirements.
Status behaviour update in documentation, I am passing this to the core team, and they will check and find it useful, then it will be updated in ARMember documentation.
Thank you very much for the feedback and support to improve the ARMember plugin!
Best Regards, ARMember Team
Thank you for the clarification.
The main concern here is not whether the functionality exists internally, but that the current UI exposes actions and workflows that are unclear or appear non-functional during real-world use and initial evaluation.
For example, the “+ Add Member” action implies the ability to intentionally add or convert an existing WordPress user, yet this workflow is not explicitly available or explained in the interface. Similarly, the “Change Status” action is visible and clickable, but without clear context or guidance it can appear broken depending on configuration.
Relying on implicit synchronization and documentation alone does not fully resolve the confusion, especially for site owners testing or evaluating the plugin for the first time. Clearer UI cues, constraints, or disabled states would significantly improve usability and reduce misunderstandings.
I appreciate the feedback being passed to the core team and hope these workflow and UX concerns can be addressed, as they impact both evaluation and day-to-day administration.
Hello,
Yes, I’ve already passed this to the core team and they will look into this further until then you can directly check the WordPress users at the Manage Members page and can edit them as per your requirements. Also, you can send your suggestions to the ARMember idea board from https://ideas.armemberplugin.com which will available for publicly and suggestion gets more vote then it will be considered to add in ARMember too.
Best Regards, Team ARMember
Issue 2: In Manage Members, there is a “Change Status” action available for members. However, when clicking this option, the modal opens with a status selector that does not provide any usable options.
This makes it impossible to actually change a member’s status, even though the UI clearly suggests that this action is supported.
Hello,
Kindly open a support ticket and share the screenshot along with that to our team and they will get in touch with you.
Thanks
Thanks for the response.
My concern here is that the UI exposes a “Change Status” action that appears functional but does not allow any actual status selection. This creates confusion regardless of configuration.
Even if this is expected behavior, it would be helpful to clarify it publicly or adjust the UI accordingly so users are not presented with non-functional actions.
Hello,
Yes, currently ARMember does not show the current status when changing the member status, and by default ARMember does not show any selected status, so the admin needs to select the member status from other options. Still, as you have mentioned that it creates confusion therefore, to check further, I am passing this as a suggestion to the core team, and they will check, and if found useful, then it will be updated in ARMember future releases.
Thanks
Issue: When I go to “Manage Members” and click the “+ Add Member” blue button, there is no option to add a member from an already registered WordPress user. I find this extremely strange.
In my case, for example, I am the admin and wanted to add myself as a member for testing purposes. The last thing I expected was to not have such a basic option.
This effectively means that an admin cannot convert an existing WordPress user into an ARMember user. Unless I’m missing something, this limitation doesn’t make sense from a workflow or usability perspective.
Hello,
Currently as the administrator has the highest rights to maintain the plugin therefore a user with administrator access cannot be added as a user. Rest assured that all other existing members will be automatically listed at the Manage Members page as ARMember does synchronize with the WordPress users.
In order to get more information on this functionality you can reach out to the support team and they will guide you further.
Thanks
Thanks for the clarification. However, this doesn’t fully address the core concern.
The issue is not only about administrator accounts, but about the lack of a clear workflow to convert any existing WordPress user into an ARMember user via the UI.
From a usability and testing perspective, it’s very common for site owners to test membership functionality using their own account. If this is intentionally restricted, it would be helpful for the UI and documentation to clearly reflect that limitation, rather than presenting options that suggest otherwise.
Hello,
I understand your concern about use the administrator account to check the content restriction by allowing assign membership plan to administrator user too. So, accordingly if content is restricted and member have not membership plan then admin will not be able to access the page/post which are restricted. So, therefore not making such a restriction for admin, there will be all access to the Admin user and no need to assign membership plan. Still, I am passing this as a suggestion to the core team for you. They will look into it again.
Best Regards, ARMember Team

Hi, I just have a small question. How can send custom email to the members for some specific purpose lets say some event’s information?
I mean to all the members at once.
Guys please let me know this. I have already bought your plugin but could’t find out this feature. This is urgent for me.
Unfortunately my support expired as I started using this plugin very late.
Hi Team, can anyone answer my question?
Hello,
ARMember allows you to set up and send emails based on membership-related triggers. However, if you’d like to send event-related emails to members, we offer integrations with various email marketing tools such as Kit, HubSpot, Zoho CRM, and more. You can sync your members with these platforms and send emails directly from there.
For further assistance, please contact our support team by renewing your support period from your profile, and we’ll be happy to guide you through the process.
Thanks
Hi.
Is this plugin compatible with Eduma? Or does it change the access / system / database of it?
Hello,
Yes, ARMember is designed to work seamlessly with all popular WordPress themes. Our plugin integrates smoothly into your existing site without affecting access, system functionality, or the database. So you can use any theme properly following WordPress standards with the ARMember.
Thanks
Hello ARMember Team,
I am using ARMember on my website and noticed that the SMS Notification add-on does not include any option for member login via OTP.
I would like to request this feature. I want members to:
Register using the ARMember signup form
Login using a mobile number OTP, instead of a password
Please let me know if this feature is available or if there is any recommended way to implement OTP-based login with ARMember.
Thank you!
Hello,
ARMember does provide a Two Factor Authentication addon that allows members to enter an OTP during login. However, if you want to completely omit the password field, this is not possible according to WordPress standards.
For more information you can refer to the ARMember Two Factor Authentication Addon here: https://www.armemberplugin.com/addon/armember-two-factor-authentication-addon/

Hi,
I’m looking for a membership plugin that can offer prospects different subscription levels. For example:
> Free > $10 pm > And more
I want the paid subscription plans to auto renew each month. Yet, I want the free plan subscription to end and force the user to manually renew the free plan or upgrade to a paid subscription.
Additionally, is it possible to track subscription attribution? Some kind of affiliate code or a feature where I create unique partner subscription page?
Thanks,
Jake
Hi Jake,
1. Subscription Levels & Renewals
ARMember fully supports the ability to create multiple subscription levels, including free and paid plans. You can easily set up different plans, such as:
- Free Plan: Users can register and access your content at no cost, with the option to manually renew at the end of each billing cycle. Once the free plan expires, users will need to re-subscribe or upgrade to a paid plan to continue accessing premium features.
- Paid Plans: You can configure recurring billing for your paid subscription levels, ensuring that payments are automatically renewed each month. The payment gateway integrations (such as PayPal, Stripe, etc.) allow for seamless auto-renewals.
2. Subscription Attribution & Affiliate Tracking
Currently, directly support for this is not possible, however we do provide support with our external plugin AffiliatePress you can check it here: https://www.armemberplugin.com/addons/
Best Regards
Why did WP remove you from its repository? What rules did you violate? What is the point of raising prices to $99 in this situation?
Hi,
Regarding plugin removal from wordpress repo is due to dispute with them regarding certain policy.
2. Regarding the price increase, the price increase reflects new features, ongoing updates, and enhanced support that we’re providing to improve the overall experience for our users. This adjustment helps us continue to develop and maintain the plugin at the highest quality.
However, currently we have an Black Friday Sale ongoing where the price is dropped to $69 for lifetime. So, it’s the best time to grab as many copies you wish to have.
I am getting invalid purchase code error. Please help urgently.
Hello,
It may happen when envato api are not refreshed. so kindly try again and i hipe it should work
Hi, pre-sale question :
I’d like to purchase your plugin but I have a question. My client is currently using WooCommerce Subscriptions, and I’d like to switch to your plugin in order to have a clean membership area. I want to gradually move away from WooCommerce Subscriptions and start using your plugin so the transition happens smoothly over time.
However, the site also has an online shop that uses WooCommerce. Can I run both systems together with your plugin, and restrict the same content for users who are still on WooCommerce Subscriptions as well as for new subscribers using AR Member? Will they all have the same content restrictions as long as their subscription is active?
Additionally, if I use the WooCommerce add-on, can I set up monthly recurring subscriptions with PayPal and Stripe (configured in WooCommerce), or is it better to use your native payment system instead?
Thanks
Hi,
Thanks for your question! Yes, you can run ARMember alongside WooCommerce for your online shop. For subscriptions, you can gradually switch from WooCommerce Subscriptions to ARMember. However, please note that members with an active WooCommerce subscription may need to cancel their existing WooCommerce-based subscription and repurchase it through the payment gateway connected to ARMember in order to continue recurring payments. You can set up content restrictions for both groups based on their subscription status, ensuring consistent access control.
Regarding payments, if you use the ARMember WooCommerce add-on, you can continue using PayPal and Stripe for recurring payments. However, ARMember’s native payment system may offer a more streamlined experience for managing memberships, depending on your needs.
For more information, you can refer to the ARMember WooCommerce Integration: https://www.armemberplugin.com/downloads/woocommerce-integration/
Thanks
Ok great, thanks for the reply.
However, I still have a few questions:
Basically, with WooCommerce Subscriptions, there is a failed payment handling system where it automatically retries the payment several times until it succeeds, or otherwise it puts the subscription on hold. How is this managed on your side? Do you have automatic retries, or does it have to be handled manually? I noticed you have a “failed payment” email, but I would like to know whether the system actually retries the payment automatically or not.
Also, I saw that you have APIs, especially for adding and removing subscriptions. Is there any way, using the API, to automatically assign a membership plan to a member when they subscribe via WooCommerce Subscriptions, meaning for all existing subscribers, and automatically remove it if they cancel? Only for the old subscribers, at least.
Thanks!
Hello,
Regarding the retries, this is carried through the payment gateway used with the ARMember, each payment gateway tries a certain times to get the payment for the failed payment. ARMember does take action as per the data received at your site from the payment gateway.
Furthermore regarding the API, yes ARMember does provide a facility to add/assign a membership plan through the API also you can cancel a subscription if the plan is cancelled at the ARMember . For more information you can refer to APIs here: https://www.armemberplugin.com/documents/api-service-feature/
Please let us know if there is anything else
Thanks
Please, could you correct this translation error? I’ve tried searching for them and replacing them with Loco Translate, but I can’t find them.
These are the four translation errors (copied exactly as they appear):
Usa al menos una. especial personaje. Usa al menos una. mayúscula personaje. Usa al menos una. numérico personaje. Usa al menos una. minúscula personaje.
It should say: Usa al menos un carácter especial. Usa al menos una mayúscula. Usa al menos un número. Usa al menos una minúscula.
Thank you very much.
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
Yes, ARMember does allow to translate these validations. In order to know the steps kindly open a support ticket here: https://support.arpluginshop.com and our team will guide you further.
Thanks
I followed your instructions, but I can’t open a support ticket because my support period has expired. Please include the translations in a future update. I purchased the plugin some time ago and never used it; the project didn’t go ahead. Now I’m using it on a new project. I can’t afford to pay for support right now.
It’s an excellent plugin, thank you very much for your attention.
Hello,
We’re glad you’re enjoying the plugin. Quick note: translations are included in the current version. If needed, you can reach out later when your support period is active again.
Thanks
