Hi,

Please try using this link to access the demo: https://demo.fantasticplugins.com/sumo-payment-plans/

Thanks.

Hi

I am interested in using the SUMO Payment Plans plugin for a specific project, but I need to confirm if it can handle a manual approval workflow with a specific installment structure.

We have a specific set of products that require the following:

1. Custom Installment Structure:

Deposit: 25% at checkout.

2nd Payment: 25% (exactly 1 month later or on a specific date).

Final Payment: 50% (exactly 2 months later or on a specific date).

2. “Hold & Approve” Workflow: We do not want the initial payment processed immediately. Instead:

The Hold: Can the plugin place an authorization hold on the customer’s card at checkout while the booking is “Pending Review”?

Admin Approval: We need the ability for an Admin to review the application and then manually “Approve” or “Reject” the booking from the backend.

Auto-Capture: Upon Admin approval, can the plugin automatically trigger the first 25% payment and schedule the remaining installments without the customer having to return to the site to re-authorize?

3. Automation:

Once approved, will the email flow (confirmation, invoices for future installments) trigger automatically based on the approval status?

Does the current version of SUMO Payment Plans support this “Authorize-now, Capture-on-Approval” logic, or would this require an additional plugin

Hi, I have a pre sale question. I tried your admin demo and it seems the plugin works as wished. Except for 1 thing. I’d like to set installment payments before a specific date BUT with Initial payment just at the time of purchase. If i set the payments aftere a specific numeber of days i can set the initial payment, but if i set before a specific date i can not. Is it possible?

Hi,

Initial payment will be charged at the time of purchase in both the cases. If you don’t want to charge deposit amount at the time of purchase, then you have to set 0 in the first row of the table.

Thanks.

Hi,

why don’t you reply to the support tickets?

I’ve been waiting for one of your replies for more than a month..

Pre-sale question: I want to know if combining this with your preorder plugin, I can achieve the following flow: 1. Customer pays initial payment which is full product price as ‘deposit’ – without shipping (100% deposit, deferring shipping fee to later) 2. Product reaches its release date 3. Customer pays the shipping only when the product is released

The purpose is to allow me to charge for shipping based on the correct weight and dimensions, which I don’t have at the time of taking the preorder, only closer to the product release. Thank you

Hi,

- The compatibility given with pre-orders is that, deposit amount will be charged initially using the “Pay in front” charge type and the balance amount has to be paid before the product release date.

- Hence, it is not possible to achieve your requirement using both plugins.

Regards.

Pre-sale question: I have an item I want to offer with a $200 non-refundable deposit. Can this plugin let customers make their own payments within a 90-day window, paying it off early if they wish? I’d like Stripe to securely store their card info so they can manually enter any payment amount of $25 or more until the balance is cleared. If they fail to complete payment within 90 days, the order would be cancelled and refunded, minus the $200 deposit. Thanks.

Hello,

I have question, if I have a item for $899 and I require $200 deposit and I set 3 monthly payments on 30th of the month so I setup everything and it shows here as example:

Payment Amount Payment Date $200.00 August 31, 2025 6:46 pm $233.00 September 30, 2025 6:46 pm $233.00 November 29, 2025 6:46 pm $233.00 February 27, 2026 6:46 pm

Something is off, why it didn’t have October and who set as February?

I am not sure if I am setting it up right.

Thanks

Never mind, I found the issue and fixed it. Disregard my message

Thanks for your information.

Hello, I would like to know if this plugin can control the second payment 2 or 3 days before checkin date. For instance, I have a rental house website and would like to let people for paying a 25% at the begining (deposit) and 1 or 2 days before the checkin date, automatically charge in a debid or credit card the 75%.

Hi,

It is possible to get deposit payment and balance can be automatically charged on set due date or after specific days of ordering date.

Automatic charging is possible only using Stripe – Credit Card payment method(using WooCommerce Stripe plugin).

Thanks.

Hi! Can the deposit option be shown only at checkout when the customers chooses a specific payment method?

Hi, Do i have to install a multilingual plugin like loco translate to have this plugin in another language than English ? There is no other solution ?

thank you.

I bought your plugin, and sor far the translation only works on the back-end. The strings on the front don’t change. I have a cache plugin, but I’ve deactivated it and it doesn’t change anything.

I want to ask some presale questions:

Does this plugin allow for weekly and monthly installment payments? Some customers, particularly business people, would prefer to pay weekly, while civil servants might choose monthly installments.

Hello

Still waiting for your reply. I would like to know if customers can choose to pay their installment before the due date.

Hi,

There is control in the plugin when to generate next payable order. You can generate order before specific number of days of due date or else order can be generated immediately after payment of previous payment. You can set the option as per your requirement.

Thanks.

Hi Guys,

I am using your plugin but do not see the option to set up 1 different payment plan for each product.

There is no option for that?

So i have ProductA and productB and for productA i want to have different payment plan and for productB i want to have also different paymentplan.

But i do not want to have all patment plans listed for both products. There is no option for that?

Guys,

are you there?

Hi,

Yes, we have given SUMO Payment Plan option control in product level and hence it is possible.

In edit product page, enable SUMO Payment Plans option and select the plans which you want to link with the products.

Hi, I tried to explain my problem directly to Envato but they referred me to ask you guys instead for some reason so perhaps you could help at least explain the issue to them if you can’t fix it yourself. When using the Envato plugin (for updating the plugin) I entered my Personal Envato Token and this plugin’s item ID 21244868 but it doesn’t connect. (Other item IDs work fine.) Can you please check, verify and help? I only just realized that my plugin version was super-outdated and had to upload it manually for now but can’t keep doing that.

Hi,

So far, we haven’t supported automatic plugin updates. We request you to download the latest version from your Codecanyon account > Downloads section.

Thanks.

Does this plugin create partial payments for categories instead of just products?

Hi,

Using Bulk Action, it is possible to configure payment plan option for specific products or products under specific categories.

Thanks.

Can we add as per categories partial payment option

Hi,

Using Bulk Action, it is possible to configure payment plan option for specific products or products under specific categories.

is it compatible with SUMO Subscription?

Hi,

No, it is not compatible.

Thanks.

Hello, I have a freelancer marketplace similar to freelancer.com. I want to structure the payments into several installments, but not automatically. In this way, for example, one third should be paid at the beginning, one third at the time of delivering the hosting and domain, and one third after the complete delivery of the project. Can I do this with your product?

Hi,

It is possible to create payment plans as per your requirement, but it is not possible to manually create the next due for each installment. It has to be predefined. Either you can create payment plans with specific due dates for each installment or else due dates can be dynamically set based on purchase date.

But, once the order is placed, you can edit the payment plan and update the due date of each installment.

Thanks.

when i install plugin ..and add pre defined or user defined and set then …check in product…its not shows that partial payment option…

its means global setting its not working … please check ..and solve this issue

I have a pre sale question please Will the WooCommerce order status be changed if the future payments are not paid?

Hi,

We are not managing the WooCommerce order status and hence it is not possble to change the status as per your requirement. We are managing a separate table(Payments) to handle installment payments. Until the last payment the payment status will be in In Progress and once the final payment is successful, the payment status will be automatically moved to Completed.

Thanks.
