I’m using your Stachethemes Event Calendar plugin and need to build a custom slider with a specific HTML structure.
My goal is to achieve a layout similar to:
1.Event image at the top. 2.Text block (with event title) below the image. 3.The event date/time element positioned “hanging” – partially overlapping the bottom edge of the image and the top edge of the text block, centered horizontally. To achieve this specific structure reliably, I believe I need to build a custom loop.
Could you please let me know if the plugin provides any PHP functions or hooks (actions/filters) that allow developers to programmatically fetch upcoming event data (like ID, title, start date, featured image URL, permalink)?
My plan is to use these functions within a custom shortcode to build my own event loop and generate the required HTML for the slider layout described above.

I’ve been looking through comments about hiding past events and the only thing I see is checking unbound events. But I already have that checked. Is there another way to hide events that have passed? It’s confusing to some people

I just updated STEC to version 5.4.6 – Herewith the Calendar Overview BoxGrid is not displayed in google Chrome (only desktop version – mobile view and all other browsers are working) I also allready went to permalinks and saved it again, as you suggested in an other post below. I am not sure why you don’t see regular license. You should contact Envato Support about this issue.
1. Is it possible to disable code in the front-end form submission? Even with TinyMCE, there is a fairly robust chance of XSS due to the code option. WYSIWYG without code would be most ideal. Many other event plugins are vulnerable because of this, and I would like to try it out on what will be a pretty busy social media site with users creating events of their own (powered by BuddyPress).
2. Also, I tested the sample form on your demo site, and I didn’t see where the featured image would be added—only where the user can add an image within the description. For the image of the event to show in the agenda/month view and full events page, how would users need to upload the image?
3. I noticed also, not sure if it was just because it’s the demo, but the image in the description was allowed by source link only – not upload, which is a problem, since most people will not be hosting images that they can add, they will have them on their device. Is this the same in the purchased version? If so, can we limit the size of the upload e.g., 3mb?

1 – You can disable the TinyMCE editor from settings, which will leave a plain textarea for the description.
2 – The default front-end submit form doesn’t include image upload element.
To add images, create a custom submit form in the calendar builder and drag in the “Images” element to your form.

In the admin panel, images are added via the “Add Images” button in the Introduction tab of the Edit Event page.
The first image becomes the featured image.
3 – The TinyMCE editor can insert images into the description via URL or via the “Media Library” button found in the TinyMCE tools above the editor. Clicking on “Media Library” button will open your WordePress Gallery popup.
For carousel images, you’ll still need to use the “Images” element in the front-end form or the “Add Images” button in the admin.
The image upload size is determined by your server and WordPress configuration. The calendar itself does not include an option to limit file size.

Is there a way to combine the monthly view with the list functionality you have with the agenda view? So instead of having the days in a right scrolling line I want the monthly overview with the events listed below that update based on your date selection. All the functionality is there but just not in the same layout ;( I have been looking at the code but it seems a lot is in Javascript and that is not something I can handle.
I know there is also a shortcode that provides a list overview but this is not sufficient since it has no show more button and doesn’t update based on the date you select in the calendar.
Please point me in the right direction to accomplish this. Would love to buy the plugin but need this exact overview for my project.

If I understand correctly you need something like the map view but instead of the map you need the month layout there?

So the days overview on the top bar in the agenda view would be replaced by the month-view.
So I have the whole month calendar and below that you see the list of events like you have with the agenda-view.

Hello, we have moved our website to a different server and domain. We have the same settings and PHP version.
Unfortunately, the calendar no longer works on the new server. It loads briefly and then the field remains empty.

Turn on your wordpress debugger and check for errors related to the calendar.
Check your browser console for javascript errors.
Check if other plugin is conflicting.
If your are using js minizer/cache plugin – turn it off and try again.
Hello! What an incredible calendar you have! Is it possible to have an Agenda-like view without the limitation of the current month? We have few events throughout the year, so the month view is often empty or has just one event, which might confuse visitors.

Yes it is possible to show events that fall outside the current month by turning on “Unbound events” option in the calendar settings.

Btw. When I set the start date for my events, the end date should automatically set to the same day in the future. At the moment, it stays at the current day.

What is with the behavior of the end date for a new event? Does the full version set the end date automatically to the start date, or does it leave it at the actual date like the free version? That’s the most annoying thing I was experiencing in the lite version.
End date isn’t adjusted automatically, the plugin only checks whether the end date is valid. I guess this can be added to the upcoming version this week.

I would be more than glad if that would be implemented in one of the next updates. 
To be honest it was like this few versions ago but I don’t remember why we removed it… I will see to place it back.

No, there isn’t an option that prevents the calendar from working on mobile. It’s possible that your theme or another plugin is causing the issue. Try switching to a different theme and disabling other plugins to rule them out.

I upgraded to the latest version of the calendar software, but none of our events or calendars are visible. On running migrate, it says decryption failed. I have a settings backup file, but no way to import it.

Hi,
Version 3 used encryption for data containing emails (organizers, guests, etc.). If you are seeing this message, something has changed on your server, and unfortunately, it will not be possible to decrypt the data.
You can try adding the following line to your wp-config.php file:
define('STEC_NO_ENCRYPT', true);
This may prevent the migration from failing, but some of the data will remain encrypted.
I just installed the Lite version to test some things before buying but somehow calendars that I create don’t show in the manage calendars section? In the dashboard I see the correct number of calendars I created but I can’t access them because they don’t show up? And when trying to create an event it is not possible because there are no calendars? I am using the WP Rentals theme on a clean Wordpress install.

Unfortunately, the translation isn’t working at all. We first translated your POT file with POEDIT and uploaded it to wp-content/language/plugins. Only the main menu and a submenu were translated. When we clicked on your plugin’s dashboard, we got a blank page. We then contacted your support team via email.
They asked for our WordPress login details, which we provided. We then received information that you were unable to log in. Your IP was likely blocked by the server because you are not from Germany. If you want to check it yourself, we would have to unblock your IP first.
You then advised us to complete the translation with Poedit, which we did. It was very time-consuming, but here too, nothing is translated except the main menu and submenu. It seems as if strings are missing or are incorrect in your POT file.
Could you create a German PO file for us? We bought the plugin over half a year ago and haven’t been able to use it.
We can no longer use your ticket system because we are asked to purchase a license extension. We are completely at a loss. How can you offer such a faulty plugin and not present a real solution?
I simply don’t understand it.

I am experiencing a critical issue. After activating your calendar plugin, I am no longer able to edit my homepage with Elementor.
When I try to launch the Elementor editor, it fails to load and shows the following error message: “Sorry, the content area was not found on your page. To use Elementor on this page, you must call the ‘the_content()’ function in its code.”
If I deactivate your plugin, Elementor works correctly again. It seems there is a conflict. Could you please help me resolve this?

Which version of STEC and STEC Lite is compatible with PHP 7.4.33?
The calendar requires at least version 8.0. I believe version 3 of the calendar will run on PHP 5.4.
After translating the POT into a German language file: stec-de_DE.po and stec-de_DE.mo, the Stec section in the admin area is displayed as empty. Regardless of whether I select Stec Dashboard, Settings, or the other Stec sub-items, everything is empty.
Your plugin is therefore completely unusable.
I translated it with Po-Edit. There are no errors in the language file. Then I translated it again with Loco Translate and uploaded it to wp-content – languages – plugin.
The menu items are actually translated correctly.

Unfortunately, I haven’t received a response since then, and the problem seems to have not been resolved.
Your plugin is completely unusable in other languages, like German in our case.
After uploading the German Po and Mo files, your plugin is no longer accessible in the backend. The plugin menu items are now translated, but clicking on them only results in blank pages.
So far, there’s been no help or explanation. Can you tell me why?
Can you confirm that you’re working on a solution, or is there none and your plugin won’t be usable in other languages?
I’ve tried accessing your dashboard several times, including today, but every page times out. I get the error: “This site can’t be reached – pj-3.de took too long to respond,” so I’m unable to identify the actual issue.
As for the calendar, it does support language translation – we have numerous clients using it in different languages, so the problem must be coming from somewhere else.
