I have tried everything after making a purchase and the license does not work. 89d1dfd6-c9d7-4eb2-8c34-6fe8c99f8573—this is my purchase code but for whatever reason I can not license the filter everything pro plugin. I need to get this figured out because I have several clients that will or have purchased licenses and none of them are working.

URGENT: I need to downgrade to version 1.9.0. This morning I updated, but the server is using an excessive amount of CPU. To fix this, I had to disable the plugin and rename it. The only command that stops it is: systemctl restart plesk-php82-fpm.service.

We modified the template on this page “site/categoria-prodotto/lego?ordr=price” With the ID number 2. Seems like everything is working.

Thank you.

No, no, everything is correct; that is the version we modified. It’s very strange. Regarding the data you sent previously via email as an image, could you please send the full data in a text format? So we can see the queries completely?

Is there a custom code to get my filters next to each other only on the homepage? I use elementor with [fe_widget] as a snippet.

FE_support Author Team

Hi ricksmits26

If you are referring to the horizontal layout, please check this page about shortcodes, since you are using one: https://filtereverything.pro/resources/shortcodes/

You will find examples with all the parameters in the shortcodes, including the [fe_widget] shortcode for horizontal layout: horizontal=”yes” columns=”3”

I’m experiencing an issue with the SEO rules.

Any rule I create is not being applied correctly:

The title and meta description do not change
The H1 is not updated

In practice, the title always remains the same.

I have used the same plugin on other projects, and it works perfectly there. I am currently using version 1.9.1 of the plugin.

Could you help me figure out how to resolve this?

FE_support Author Team

Hi EvoluzioneTelematica

Please check this documentation page: https://filtereverything.pro/resources/all-about-seo/#seo_h1_description_issue

It contains the code that you should use on your site with your theme’s H1/SEO description hooks, as these can vary from theme to theme.

Hello, I would like to buy the ProVersion but I have a question first. I only use Woocommerce as a photo gallery and Grid Essentials and the Dynamic Gallery because I want to have the masonry layout. With the free version of Filter Everything nothing happens when filtering in the Dynamic Gallery, only in the Woocommerce Gallery. THX

FE_support Author Team

Hi TKphotography

Thank you for your interest in the Filter Everything plugin.

If the Grid Essentials and the Dynamic Gallery are using WP_Query to display products, they should be filtered without any issues. However, if they are using other techniques to fetch and display the products on the page, then the filtering will not work.

WP_Query is the default mechanism in WordPress for displaying posts and pages. By default, all posts and archive pages use the main query to display content, which makes them filterable. Elementor’s Loop Grid, when using the “Post Type” query, also relies on a custom WP_Query to display posts, so it is filterable as well.

can i get filter like this? in mobile and dektop all main blog category and sub category appear at top https://www.argivin.com/medical-encyclopedia-female/?filter_selection=skin-care ?

FE_support Author Team

Hi underraino

Thank you for your interest in the Filter Everything plugin.

The approach on this page: https://www.argivin.com/medical-encyclopedia-female/?filter_selection=skin-care uses a list of links at the top, with filters displayed below.

If we look at this screen: https://prnt.sc/IfZNK7AH6W9M the upper part shows a simple list of links (they are not filters). Clicking on any of these links takes you to the corresponding category page. Below that, there are filters based on subcategories available within those parent category pages.

So basically, you can create this behavior by creating a list of links at the top with custom HTML, and then using radio button filters by categories underneath to simulate the same functionality.

Victor

how much domains how much subsites i can use it?

FE_support Author Team

Hi underraino

One regular license can be activated on two sites. If you are using WordPress Multisite, you can activate the license on the main site. On the other sites within the network, the plugin will be automatically activated after installation.

Hello. I have an issue where I am trying to filter by product attributes on a product archive page. For example, I have an attribute called: Slab Type: Porcelain. On the /slab-type/porcelain/ page, I have filters for other attributes like /color-brown/. The URL is updating, but the products are not. The filters are set up correctly and working on other pages. Here is a link to the page that is experiencing issues: https://aqua-mink-955675.hostingersite.com/slab-type/quartz/

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I ended up creating dedicated pages for the slab-type attributes and using WooCommerce shortcode to display the slab-types only on those pages. Changed my filter settings to the pages, and it worked. That URL i shared is no longer valid, but i am interested to hear if you’ve encountered my issue before and have any advice. I would love to use the attribute archives if possible for future projects (that may have many). I just got lucky with this one because there were only two, so I just made dedicated pages for them.

FE_support Author Team

Hi nevergravity

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

This would require testing on the site directly to find the exact reasons why it is not working on those pages. If you can provide the credentials to the wp-admin dashboard following this document and the link to a testing page where it should work but is not, we could check it and provide information on it.

I’ve run into an issue using this plug-in with Elementor and need some further assistance.

I can’t display the plugin and only see “No one Filter Set is related to this page. You can configure it in the Filter Set -> “Where to filter?” field.”

Its pretty straightforward setup. I have the shop page configured and using a grid loop that is displaying all of the products. I have the filters everything widget in a sidebar via shortcode. I have the product categories properly setup in Woocommerce.

Page: https://oilmenstruckta.wpenginepowered.com/shop/

I’ve disabled all my other plug-ins except for Elementor and Filter Everything.

The Setting to Where to Filter is set to Common WordPress pages > Shop Page. This shop Page is also set in WooCommerce.

Ive tried all of the available options in the “And what to filter?” Where is it going wrong?

We have placed the filter set on the “Page + Shop” in order to make it work. On some themes, it works that way. Also, we added two filters from your attributes, which are not custom fields as you had added them.

Hi, I am having an issue. Filter is working for category page but not for custom page.

FE_support Author Team

Hi jowelr

Most likely, the issue is with the filter prefixes or a conflict between a permalink plugin on the site.

FE_support Author Team

Hi jowelr

Thank you for the credentials. We have checked the site, and we have a strong feeling that the issue is caused by the modified permalinks—specifically, the removal of the “category” part from the URL and presenting it as a singular page (e.g., site.com/cars), where “cars” is actually a category page.

Could you please disable that custom code, update the permalink settings, and then update the filter set to work with the new permalink structure? After that, check if the filters are working correctly.

Best Regards,
Victor

Hello,

I am currently using your filter plugin on my WordPress site with Elementor Pro. I have set up a Loop Grid widget to display my listings, and I am trying to apply filters using your plugin.

However, I am facing an issue: the plugin does not detect any WP_Query or query to filter on the page. Therefore, when I select a filter, the listings do not update correctly or show zero results.

I have confirmed that my taxonomies are properly linked and the listings display correctly without filtering. But the filter plugin does not recognize the query used by Elementor Loop Grid, so filtering does not work.

The page in question is: https://slowplaces.fr/en/lacollection/

Could you please advise how to:

Make the plugin detect the WP_Query used by Elementor Loop Grid?

Or manually link the filter plugin to the correct query or container?

Or if there is a compatibility module or recommended configuration for Elementor?

Thank you in advance for your help!

We have checked the site and had to deactivate the caching plugin, as it was causing significant slowdowns.

Now, regarding the issues:

1) First things first, please downgrade the PHP version of your site to 8.2. Currently, there is a large number of deprecated warnings showing up, as seen here: https://prnt.sc/5x0Ydn0E85I8.

2) Secondly, we’re not entirely sure what is causing the issue, whether it’s a broken WordPress installation or a conflict from a third-party plugin, but after saving the filter sets a second time, they are being turned into parent posts with multiple child posts. We’ve never encountered behavior like this before. So you can fully deactivate the plugins on your site to check if it will behave normally.

3) As for the missing queries, the issue is caused by your translation plugin. It is dynamically forcing a 301 redirect from https://slowplaces.fr/lacollection/ to https://slowplaces.fr/fr_fr/lacollection/, which is breaking the functionality.

The default language of the site should not include any language code in the URL. So, if French is the default language, it should remain as https://slowplaces.fr/lacollection/. Only secondary languages should have a language prefix, like https://slowplaces.fr/en/lacollection/.

Also, make sure the translation plugin you’re using can properly translate posts, as well as custom post types.

We deactivated the translation plugin to enable the filters on the direct page: https://slowplaces.fr/en/lacollection/.This is currently the only way to use the filters properly, as there are no longer any forced redirections affecting the functionality.

Additionally, your site has mixed content issues. Please fix those to ensure proper working of the plugins and security across all resources.

Victor

Hello, I am experiencing an issue with the display of variable products without stock after filtering.

I have products with size variations, and I have created a filter that displays as a sidebar where one of the attributes to filter by is size. When I select, for example, size XS, products that do not have it available are displayed (such as the product ‘Camiseta TENGO MAGIA’), and I want only products with the specified size in stock to be displayed.

In the experimental settings of the plugin, I have enabled ‘Hide out-of-stock items when filtering results’. In the size filter settings, I have selected ‘Use for variations’.

You can see the site under development with the filter here: https://bocoque.entornodesarrollo.es/tienda/, the password is ‘bocoque’.

Can you help me resolve this issue?

Thank you in advance. Marta

FE_support Author Team

1) You can try using it strictly on categories; however, the loop grid is not ideal in this case, especially if you have many category pages. Loop grid creates a unique query for each page. Even with the “current query” option, it still generates a unique query for each page.

This means you would need to create a separate filter set for each category page and apply it directly to the corresponding page, which is not efficient for managing a large number of categories.

However, we’ll forward this to the development team for further investigation to see if there’s any possibility to make it work as it is.

2) In that case, you can turn it off and add a stock status filter right at the top of your filters, just like on this page: https://bocoque.entornodesarrollo.es/fe_test_page/

Best Regards,
Victor

Ended up manually hiding the products with js, so the only reason I bought your plugin ended up not working for me :(

Hello, In the filters widget, we would like to display a categories tree with checkboxes — showing both parent and child categories. Is this possible? Also, is there an option to rearrange the order of the categories within the filter? Thank you.

FE_support Author Team

Hi marxsvjetlana64

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

1) You can create a hierarchical filter from the category taxonomy using checkboxes. To do this, create a category filter, click on “More options”, then enable the “Show Hierarchy” option. After that, click the Update/Create Filter Set button. Here is a screen: https://prnt.sc/mQSs0NPM-urf

2) The only option for manual sorting is via custom code using the hook wpc_terms_before_display. For more information, please check this page: https://filtereverything.pro/resources/hooks/#terms-before-display-hook

Hi. I have purchased the UrbanGo – Directory and Listing WordPress Theme. Is your plugin compatible with my theme? If I replace my theme’s filters with yours, will it work properly?

FE_support Author Team

Hi giannispanteras4

I have a product attribute set up called “Pokemon Set Name” and in that are all the set names for the Pokemon TCG. I then have a filter for this as part of my filters and everything works unless you select 2 set names that contain part of the same name, for example:

This URL works: /shop/category-single-cards/brand-pokemon/pokemon_set-brilliant-stars/

and this URL works: /shop/category-single-cards/brand-pokemon/pokemon_set-brilliant-stars-trainer-gallery/

but this URL returns a 404 page not found:

/shop/category-single-cards/brand-pokemon/pokemon_set-brilliant-stars-or-brilliant-stars-trainer-gallery/

However, this URL works:

/shop/category-single-cards/brand-pokemon/pokemon_set-astral-radiance-or-brilliant-stars-trainer-gallery/

and then this one 404’s again:

/shop/category-single-cards/brand-pokemon/pokemon_set-astral-radiance-or-brilliant-stars-or-brilliant-stars-trainer-gallery/

So it seems to be only when the 2 filters each site of the “OR” in the URL contain some of the same name.

I’m not sure why this would be a setting so I can only assume it is a bug?

FE_support Author Team

Hi jessicad117

It is a conflict between the slug names. The best option is to avoid repeating similar slugs, such as using: stars-something and stars-something-else. Try to slightly modify the part before the hyphen (`-`) symbol to avoid slug conflicts.

Victor

HI I’m encountering an issue with the mobile filter display when using the “Appear as a pop-up” setting. On mobile devices, when a user clicks to open the filter and selects the first filtering option, a loading spinner appears—but it stays on the screen in an infinite loop and never loads the filtered results.

Could you please advise what might be causing this behavior or what I should check in order to resolve it?

Thanks in advance for your support.

Hi team My SEO H1 is not working properly. Others ( SEO title etc. ) are working well. SEO rule is set correctly and all things are working except the SEO H1. I added your code in my child theme as your H1 troubleshotting document. add_action( ‘wp’, ‘minimog_child_seo_h1’ ); function minimog_child_seo_h1() { if ( class_exists( ’\FilterEverything\Filter\Pro\PluginPro’ ) ) { $seoFrontend = \FilterEverything\Container::instance()->getSeoFrontendService(); } And I contact with my theme support and I am pretty sure the hook “minimog/title_bar/heading_text” is correct. Please advice.

add_filter( 'minimog/title_bar/heading_text', [ $seoFrontend, 'seoH1' ], -5 );
}

FE_support Author Team

1) That’s all we did. Initially, we wanted to check the code you placed in the theme, but we didn’t find any. So, we added the code ourselves, hit the save button, and it worked.

Perhaps you used the wrong quotation marks or made a small mistake when modifying the code with your own names. We simply copied the raw code directly from the documentation and placed the hook in the required part of the code.

2) What exactly do you mean by the “Mobile filter bar?” Could you send some screenshots of what you’re referring to so we can understand it better?

Best Regards,
Victor

yes here is the screenshot: https://prnt.sc/mgAShmfreL3l I only want to move this filter icon down alittle bit to align another widget tool

FE_support Author Team

Well, in this exact case, you can use custom CSS with a negative margin to pull it down: https://prnt.sc/G1sTTM1rVAVI that would be the fastest option.

You have to place that CSS in the theme styles, preferably.

Best Regards,
Victor

Hello,

I recently purchased your plugin and have a site with 3 major categories of products, each of these have quite a few subcategories.

I need to be able to have several filters within my filter set that only show up when a user clicks certain categories. Example: Dress length, only needs to be displayed in the dress subcategory. I understand this can be done by using the “parent filter” setting, however I have set the parent category as the “product category” (labeled pattern category) because that is the only way I seem to be able to get the subcategory dress to appear for users.

This has made it so that the dress length filter shows up after the user clicks on ANY subcategory.

Is there a way to specify which subcategory triggers a filter to appear?

FE_support Author Team

Hi Clobbergirl

Yes, we understand that it would be easier if there were an option to attach each filter term to display other filters. However, the categories in the filter are no longer static categories; they are dynamic filter terms. This means you can delete or add new ones, and they will automatically appear or be removed from the filters.

The development team has included in the roadmap a functionality that will allow creating separate filters from taxonomies. This means it can be included in future updates. Maybe even a separate addon for implementing functionality to associate each of these dynamic values with a specific list of filters that should be displayed when a particular term is selected would also need to work dynamically, as this would require extensive system resources, especially as the number of categories increases. Some of our clients have over 100 or even 1,000 categories, and implementing such functionality out of the box would result in very slow filtering performance. The system would need to loop through all categories to check for applied filters and rules, especially when multiple categories are selected simultaneously. So it cannot fit every case.

To be fair about the price, it’s only $44 for the plugin itself, including 6 months of support. Only the extended support for a full year costs more. We’re also providing a lifetime license that can be activated on two sites, with lifetime updates included. Compared to many other plugins that require yearly renewals and only offer 6 to 12 months of updates, this offers significantly more long-term value.

Best Regards,
Victor

Thank you for the detailed explanation. The $60 was CAD, and yes you are correct the one time cost is appreciated and part of the reason I chose this plugin.

FE_support Author Team

Hi Clobbergirl

Yes, so once we complete the foundational functionality, we will begin addressing more case-specific requests, such as the one you suggested. This will require a careful approach to ensure it doesn’t slow down filtering or cause major performance issues.

Best Regards,
Victor

Hey Victor-

I’m trying to set up FEP on a client’s site, but can’t seem to get the filters to work right. Basically, I’m trying to filter the search results, just like you’ve done on the demo site here: https://demo.filtereverything.pro/?s=nam – I’ve got them showing on the page correctly, but their count numbers are wrong and I’m not seeing as many results as I should when checking one of the boxes. Is there any way you can send me screenshots for the specific filter set’s filters/settings you used on the demo site that displays the “Category” and “Genre (custom tax)” filters? Thanks!

Hi Chris

Also, please include the link to the exact search page with the issue.

Best Regards,
Victor

Creds sent – thanks!

FE_support Author Team

Hi Chris

We have checked the site, and the issue is that you are using SearchWP for search functionality. Its search algorithms are not compatible with the plugin’s filtering system. To make it work correctly, you can use the default WordPress search instead.

Additionally, we noticed that you are using a fully custom theme, so we’re not certain how the default search algorithms function there; they may already be modified, which could also cause compatibility issues.

In general, the search page should lead to a URL like ?s=search_text&post_type=page if you want to search only within pages. The plugin can filter only one post type at a time; it cannot filter multiple post types simultaneously. When using a generic query like ?s=search_text, as on the page you shared, it displays other post types as well: https://prnt.sc/buRq2uVK2AhI

Victor
