Hello Victor,

Can we hide filters using custom code when someone is trying crawl search pages /search/?

FE_support Author Team

Hi palivelasrikanth

Can you please provide some additional clarification on what you mean by “hide filters using custom code when someone is trying to crawl search pages /search/”?

We’re not entirely sure how this is supposed to work. If your goal is to hide the filters on that page, all you have to do is avoid applying the filters on the search page.

Victor

Hello,

I have a problem with the results display, which jumps back to all entries. I have a license for the Pro version, and until recently everything worked perfectly.

Recently, after filtering (regardless of the filter), the search results are displayed briefly and then reset to all default entries. The widget displays the number of search results correctly, and as mentioned, it is displayed briefly after clicking the search button, but then all entries appear again.

No new plugins have been installed, and everything is up to date. Everything was working fine until recently. AJAX is disabled. Disabling the cache (WP Rocket) didn’t solve the problem either. Is it due to a recent update (e.g., WordPress or a plugin)? What could be the cause?

Thank you for any suggestions for a solution. Patrick

The theme or some plugin is triggering a second loading of the posts. If you refresh the page, it initially displays the posts, then there’s a blink, and the posts are displayed again.

This behavior is likely caused by some optimization setting, lazy loading, or possibly an infinite scroll/pagination feature that’s trying to load posts intended for the second page.

Best Regards,
Victor

Hello Victor, actually it was lazy loading in the post grid settings. Now it works! Thank you very much. Patrick

Hi Patrick

Hello, we’ve got a problem with background color – it changed from white/grey to semi-transparent – that makes text in filters very hard to read. We are using Astra pro theme. How can we change it back to whie / grey color? When we started using filter everything the background was white/ grey. It’s on our website www.paniuszczelka.pl

FE_support Author Team

Hi devwp2

So basically, there are two issues here:

1) According to the support policy, there is no support for accounts whose support period has expired.

2) The issue is not related to the plugin, it is related to the pop-up container background color: https://prnt.sc/eVgKyOutwSZ6 If you apply a background color to it, everything should be displayed correctly.

Hey there,

we have a problem on this site: https://www.dpsg-muenster.de/methodensammlung/

When we filter and search and there are valid filtered items it works perfectly. But when we search for a unusual string like “sadfhbkqf” there should be no results. Instead of displaying no results or a message “there are no results”, the plugin just uses the query from the filter/search before and stays exactly like that. No message or hint. At least we would like to show a message there. Please help us with this since we can’t find any options for configuring this on our own.

Hi arneleusing

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

It looks like you have a conflict on the site, possibly caused by caching, custom code, a third-party plugin, or the theme.

You can try switching to the default theme, turning off caching/optimization solutions, and disabling all custom code and other plugins.

Then check if everything works as it should. After that, re-enable them one by one to identify which one is causing the issue.

Right now, something is blocking the selection of empty terms, which is not how it should work by default.

Best Regards,
Victor

FE_support Author Team

Also, the AJAX HTML container ID/class setting can cause this issue if the incorrect one is selected. Make sure the value matches the actual container that wraps your filtered content.

Hello, Today i purchased the Filter Everything plugin thinking it would be helpful, but I haven’t been able to get it to work. I’m currently using the Royal Elementor Addons theme, and its filters work fine. I bought this plugin to see if I could add a filter on the mobile version of the store, but I haven’t managed to make it work. It detects the categories, but it doesn’t update them when a filter is selected. I would like to request a refund as it is not useful for me.

FE_support Author Team

Hi charlier1983

Can you please send the credentials to the wp-admin dashboard following this document so we can check it and make it work for you?

More likely, you just missed selecting the correct query in the filter set, the one responsible for displaying the posts you want to filter on your page.

I installed Filter Everything Pro on a Wordpress multisite installation and activated it on one of my sites and I cannot get the License Key function to show up. If I install it on the primary domain for the website then I can get it to show up and then entire the license but I need to activate it on a subdomain where I’m doing development work. Please advise.

FE_support Author Team

Hi transmyt

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

In WordPress Multisite, you need to install and activate the plugin on the main site. On the other sites, it will not require a license key, as it’s already activated on the main one, meaning the other sites are considered activated automatically.

Best Regards,
Victor

Hi, When we try to update filter it gives error saying plugin is locked and enter license key. But in setting it shows license activated. how to solve this issue

FE_support Author Team

Additionally, you can send the credentials to the wp-admin dashboard following this document so we can check it.

Hello, Credentials is sent. You can Add one filter and click on update on the right side. It will give error. Screenshot https://prnt.sc/uDa89NiOH8jE

FE_support Author Team

So we reinstalled the plugin and deactivated the license. Please follow this guide: https://filtereverything.pro/resources/license-key-issues/ to get the license key and enter it in the License tab.

If it still won’t work, please send us this license key via PM here: https://codecanyon.net/user/fe_support

Me gustaría devolverlo pues no me sirve :(

The plugin is not used on the search page, but it slows down the loading of the search page. How to fix this?

FE_support Author Team

Hi ali34121

Please send us the full report of the page loading speed, so we can check which exact Filter Everything functionality might be slowing down the page load. Also, provide any additional relevant information you have regarding the issue.

Hi. Maybe it is double but we missed the option for email copy.

We have a problem on bhsupport.nl The filter does not do anything. When selecting a filter, it refreshes but the results do not change.

It used to work fine. Can you help? You can mail to: support@dreamlab.nl

Hi all, currently experimenting with the free version and it looks very good so far, one thing we are running into is when applying the filters on catergory pages it does not seem to work, it loads but still shows all categories and no items seem to get filtered.

I would expect if i enable a specific filter, it would load all products with the categroy that are filtered and show all products.

I read that this is only an option with the PRO version but i’m rather confused and would like to clarify that this is indeed possible with the PRO version before i buy it. Thanks in advance!

FE_support Author Team

Hi SmetsLennert

Thank you for your interest in the Filter Everything plugin.

Can you please clarify this point: “When applying the filters on category pages, it does not seem to work”? Let us know exactly how you apply them and provide any additional information; screenshots would be helpful too.

Also, please share the link to the page with the filters so we can check it.

We’re using Filter Everything Pro on our staging site and the filters are displaying correctly on desktop and in mobile preview via Chrome DevTools.

However, they are not showing at all on real mobile devices (e.g. iPhone, iPad). We’ve confirmed that the filter widget is correctly implemented using [fe_widget filters=”1205774”], and the filter set is configured to display on all archive pages for the product post type. Plugin settings like “Collapse Filters Widget on Mobile” are enabled.

We’ve tested with caching disabled and tried CSS overrides, and our developer has reviewed the setup and suspects it may be a plugin-level issue. We also saw comments in the plugin code that suggest this might be a known bug.

Could you please advise on why the filters may not appear on real mobile devices and how to fix this?

FE_support Author Team

Hi Blackrock59

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

First things first:

[fe_widget filters=”1205774”]

The shortcode does not have the filters=”1205774” parameter. Not sure where it comes from or what its purpose is. You can check all of the shortcodes params in here: https://filtereverything.pro/resources/shortcodes/

Can you please send the credentials to the wp-admin dashboard following this document so we can check it?

Also, please send the link to the exact page where the mobile filters are not working, so we can check it right away.

Victor

Hello,

I have a question about translating filters with Polylang. I checked the documentation but went to the Polylang settings and the filter sets don’t appear as an option on the Custom post types and taxonomies.

Using the PRO version for Polylang and the filters are for a custom post type, they’re showing on the default language but not the translated version.

I really appreaciate any advice you can give me on what to do. Thank you!

FE_support Author Team

Hi creamen

It works automatically with the Poly PRO version; the free version of the Poly doesn’t support translations in that way.

Most likely, something went wrong during the translation process, or there are other hidden issues on the site. Each case is quite unique; it could be related to caching, third-party plugins, custom code, a custom theme, or even something as basic as an incorrect translation method.

Unfortunately, such issues can only be checked directly on the site with access credentials; however, this is available only for users with an active support period.

If you want us to check it directly on your site, you can extend the support period and let us know, so we can send you instructions on how to provide the credentials.

Hi there,

I have done my best to find an answer in the comments but can’t find one with a solution that works.

I have the filter set up on my Shop page. When people click on a product, I want the filter to remain there so that they can immediately select another category from it and it will take them back to the Shop page.

I saw a response which semi allowed this and involved duplicating the filter that’s on the Shop page, but it required use of the Apply button. Firstly with this, my list of products is quite long and people are unlikely to scroll down and see the button. Secondly, selecting a category from the filter refreshes the page and people will just assume it’s not working as opposed to finding the button.

Is there a workaround to this? I would really just love to have the filter automatically redirect to the Shop page, no matter which item they selected.

Thanks!

FE_support Author Team

Hi countryimages

So, you’re looking for an apply button with a timer? One where you can select multiple options, and if you don’t add more within a certain time, it automatically applies the chosen filters?

Or what exactly are you looking for? The “Apply Button” mode is the only mode that allows selecting filters first and then applying them to the page by clicking the Apply button. You can position the apply button at the top of the filters inside the filter set.

Best Regards,
Victor

Hi Victor, thanks for the rapid reply.

I would just like to have the/a filter on the shop page and the product page. When someone selects an item from the filter on the product page, I would like it to redirect to the shop page showing those items. Ideally, I would like to avoid having a button at all.

The filter I have on the shop page is set up using checkboxes (I would prefer radio but that doesn’t seem to allow products categories to show as hierarchy). The page refreshes every time I select an option but allows multiple choices without the need for the button so that’s fine.

Thanks!

FE_support Author Team

So the only way to do this is by applying the redirection with the “Apply Button” filter, following these instructions: https://filtereverything.pro/resources/typical-problems/#redirection_filter_instruction

The Apply Button is the only option that supports a redirection filter. However, the selected filters on the shop page will not carry over to the product page when you open a specific product.

Hi,

We’re experiencing a recurring fatal error on our WordPress website caused by Filter Everything Pro.

Errore Message: FATAL: Automatic conversion of false to array is deprecated in /wp-content/plugins/filter-everything-pro/src/Entities/EntityManager.php on line 1121

This happens intermittently, but consistently returns after a few days of inactivity on the website, especially early in the morning, and seems related to cached queries or filters.

We are using SiteGround with both Dynamic Cache and (occasionally) Object Cache enabled. We noticed that this fatal error:

Does not occur while we actively work on the site, especially from the WordPress admin.

Can be temporarily resolved by flushing the cache or resaving permalinks.

Typically occurs on archive pages such as /vendita/auto/ or filtered queries using FEP (e.g. /auto/marca-kia-or-maxus/...).

From our debugging, it appears that a false value is sometimes passed to foreach() in EntityManager.php, likely due to a cached state where $filters is not an array anymore.

Can you please: 1. Add a defensive check like foreach ( is_array($filters) ? $filters : [] as $filter ) to avoid this fatal error?

2. Confirm whether Filter Everything caches filter objects or query modifications that might be affected by external caching layers?

3. Suggest the best way to safely prevent this issue without disabling the plugin or touching core files (e.g., using filters or hooks)?

Thank you for your support — this is quite urgent as it causes a full white screen for users and can break filtered listings.

Hello,

Im using the Filter Everything Pro plugin for Woocommerce – and Im experiencing a issue when using AJAX – when opening the filter widget on mobile it works fine, but when I filter anything (category, brand etc) and shows results, and I re-open the filter widget, it gets stuck (its not possible to remove chips or filter / and not able to scroll within the filter mobile widget)

Is this a common issue? And eventually, can you provide support to fix this issue for me?

Thank you!

Hi kristofferh4

If you have already purchased the PRO version of the plugin, please make the request from the account where the plugin was purchased in order to receive support.

Hello Victor

I sell car parts and want to add a filter to the home page. When the filter is applied on the home page, how can I redirect the results to the WooCommerce shop page or the WooCommerce search results page?

I just bought the plugin and I can say that. I tried many filter plugins, but yours is the easiest and most functional.

Hello, on our shop we have filter set with alternative Location: homepage. when the user selects filter then he is sent to the shop page with the filters applied. However, the price range filter doesn’t work and it is not transferred to the search shop/results page. You can test here at the bottom of the page: https://krokitoys.com/ Can you tell us what to do in order to fix the price filter? Here is a screenshot of the filter set settings: https://imgur.com/a/2Mx8ZMD

FE_support Author Team

Hi file_submit

We have tested it on our end, and this functionality is working without any issues with the range slider in our clean environment.

The only logical explanation is a conflict on your site, either with another filter plugin, another plugin, custom code, or even a theme that is altering the price filter behavior.

What you can do is set up another environment with a clean WordPress installation, use the default Twenty Twenty-Five theme, and install only our plugin along with WooCommerce. Test the functionality to ensure everything is working without any issues. Then, add other plugins, your theme, and any custom code one by one to identify which one is causing the conflict.

Victor
