Does this eat up my database storage? I mean we have mailboxes of over 10GBs will that be downloaded onto the perfex db?
You can selectively sync data (IE: only unread emails)

Yeap, selected downloaded emails will be stored in their own table of Perfex CRM’s database. Fetching emails from the server upon every connection would be killing – the proper thing is to store them locally.
Can emails be shared (viewable) for other team members? Let’s say I assign an email from my inbox to a client or a project – can my coworkers asigned to the same client/project then see the email?
No – each staff member has his/her own Inbox, for security and privacy purposes.
While I fully understand the reasons for keeping emails private as default, there are many cases where it would be ideal to also be able to share/save customer emails in a project for everyone else to see them.
This could just be an extra button: Assign to Client/Project – Share with team members

You’re absolutely right that in some workflows, sharing emails across the team can be very useful. While the current design prioritizes privacy and individual staff inboxes, we understand your use case and agree that having an option to selectively share emails could benefit certain teams.
Although this is more of an exception than the rule in most environments, we’ll definitely take your suggestion into consideration for a future update.

I’ve Perfex CRM version 2.7.0. Is this module compatible with this version?
Yes, Perfex CRM has supported modules since version 2.3.0, so version 2.7.0 includes all the necessary infrastructure for our module to install and run.
That said, we always develop and test our modules with the latest stable releases of Perfex, PHP, and MySQL to ensure the best performance and compatibility. While your version should generally work, please be aware that certain dependencies or functions might rely on newer features or configurations from your server environment (like PHP extensions or updated libraries).
If you’re running older side services (e.g. outdated PHP or database versions), it’s a good idea to ensure they meet modern standards. This helps avoid unexpected behavior and allows you to benefit from full module functionality.

I recently purchased this module and encountered an issue. When I compose and send an email through the Webmail module, I receive a success message stating “Email sent successfully.” However, the recipient never receives the email—it only appears within the Webmail module itself.

Hi, are we suppose to use the same login details in perfex (username and password) for the imap connection?
Email used is supposed to be the same, yes.
What about the password. the same for perfex login or the imap email?
IMAP details have to be the IMAP details 
Email of staff member account is tied to the real one, for security purposes.
Will this work with OAuth 2.0 for Google Workspace?
We do support IMAP connections.

You can have templates without any additional modules purchased.

Hi I need a fuctiion like this, the staffs/users can only receive and send emails, but not knowing the emails smtp credentials, is it possible? Only the Administrator could set and distribute all the emails credentials in a central setting. Because in practical, the staff/user will quite from job or trainees could just use the emails for short time, but leaking out emails login/smtp credentionals are big security problem. After a user/staff left/quite from job, could simply stop login of the CRM or distribute the user account to other user, without leaking out smtp/emails credential. Hi Tks but you should know that this is important. With smtp credential, user could remotely access all emails by any outlook or pop3 equipment, this is vital dangerous for commercial projects.
Especially for the commercial users who use AWS SES oder third party SMTP sending credentials, the sending emails are charged service, it is not possible to change the credentials all the time. Also, for the remote users, home office users, third contry collaberators, it is not possible to share the smtp to them. Pls help to list this security update to the top. Thank you very much.
You dont need to change your credentials at all – you just set up your own account (as a specific staff member), under your company’s SMTP thats common for every staff member.
Each staff member has his/her own account.

You can obviously email addresses outside of the CRM.

Can each user have their own email box?
Yes. Each user has his/her own mailbox.
It looks like you have everything in Perfect built into your software except that you have email feature, they don’t. Tell me if this is correct.
