I have a presale question. I would only need a booking request like this:
- Import of iCal-Link(s) with blocked dates
- Guest selects check-in/check-out date from available dates
- Guest fills mailform with his contact data
- then sends a request for reservation
- and gets an Email with confirmation of his request.
No selection of room, number of guests or extras, no payment process.
Can I do this with your plugin or do I have to set up the complete shopping procedure?

Yes, you can use HBook with the configuration you describe.
- Import of iCal-Link(s) with blocked dates YES. If you sync with AirBnb/booking.com, and wish to have the dates blocked manually imported into HBook (not only the reservations), please come back to me, as there are some limitations.
- Guest selects check-in/check-out date from available dates YES
- Guest fills mailform with his contact data YES
- then sends a request for reservation YES
- and gets an Email with confirmation of his request. YES
- no number of guests or extras, no payment process. YES
- you can as well disable the display of prices if you wish.
- No selection of room:
You can create a form for one “Accommodation type” only, so there is no room selection as such. However, there will still be the step where the customer sees the search result and click “Next” to fill in his details. You can modify any text displayed by HBook, so you can here give instructions/information if you wish (as to explain that there are aavailability that you will review their request and contact them back with a quote, for example).

With the current version of HBook(2.0.27) : - if you use Stripe, you can do a charge/refund on a stored payment method. This action is done in HBook Reservations page. - if you use a different payment gateway, you will need to collect the remaining balance outside HBook: bank transfer, invoice, etc.
We are preparing version 2.1 of HBook, in which we add payment links. It will be possible to email a payment link to the customer. This feature will be available firstly only with Stripe payment gateway. And then, we will update the integration for all our supported gateways : https://maestrel.com/payment-gateways/

1. Yes, you can use Smoobu as channel manager. You will use the iCal sync between HBook and Smoobu. This will be the only sync you will have with HBook. All your external platforms are channelled through Smoobu.
2. Yes, you can use only HBook plugin, with any WordPress theme.
3. You will need to create HBook “Accommodation Types” for the set-up of the booking system. However, you can use your theme pages for the presentation/display of the properties. You will link each HBook accommodation type to the matching theme page. It means that you can add HBook shortcodes/elements on each theme page and HBook will know that it is for this property. I have AirBnB hooked up and I thought when they came into the system that they are confirmed right away ? Why is it just “New” and does “New” block them on the Calendar for availability ?

Yes, the dates are automatically blocked in HBook calendars, when a reservation is received on AirBnb.
In HBook > Misc > Reservations status, you can set what is the default status for reservations imported via the iCal sync. It can be “Confirmed” if you prefer.
The fact that a status is “New” does not mean that the dates are not blocked. Only the “Pending” status indicates that dates are not blocked, until the reservation is confirmed. 
We have clients who prefer to see the reservations imported from iCal sync as “New” (yellow), others who prefer to have them as “Confirmed” status (green).
It depends on how you use the status “visually” and as well is you have email templates sent upon “Confirm” action, and in which case you wish to have these emails sent out (only reservations received on your website, or as well those imported via iCal).

Hi there, quick question…. is it possible set an accommodation as 2 nights minimum stay, however allow 1 night reservations if 60 days or less before their arrival date?

We don’t have a functionality to override a minimum stay rule if check-in is within x days from current date. I don’t see any alternative way to set this up. You can create a season that can have a “Priority” status, and define that the minimum stay for this season is 2 night. However, it will require dates, so you will need to update the season date, for example every week, to reflect the 60 days again. Not really handy, but this is the only way I can think of!

Is there a possibility to enter the source of the reference OTA platform of booking a date in the main hBook iCal? I was reading from the guides that there is the [surrender_origin] field, hbook can read the origin where a reservation comes from?

Do you refer to a reference that is passed in the export of your OTA calendar? And that HBook would retrieve and display? This can be done, if the reference is in the DESCRIPTION property, for example.

The visitor enters the dates searched and number of guests (optional), then he is shown with the price, if you have only one accommodation type. He will click “Next” to select options (if set) and adds his details. 
You can ask for the customer details (name, address, etc.) but we currently do not have an option for displaying a field as many times as the number of guests.

We do not log the searches run by the visitors, no. If a visitor ran the booking process until the payment step, but did not complete the payment, the customer is created in HBook, but his reservation intent is not saved.

You can use a Channel manager. HBook will be connected to this channel manager with the iCal synchronization. And you will connect all your platforms (AirBnb, booking, etc.) directly with the channel manager. On HBook side, there will be only the connection between HBook and your channel manager.

I’d like to set up my restaurant’s reservation system. I have 2 tables for 2, 7 tables for 4, 5 tables for 6, and 2 VIP tables for 10. Customers can book and pay a minimum of €10 per person using Stripe during three time slots: 5 PM to 6:30 PM, 6:30 PM to 8 PM, and 8 PM to 10:30 PM. I also need backend admin access for bookings.
Is it possible for you to show me a working demo of both the frontend and backend via a link? I tried your backend but couldn’t see the frontend after configuration. Furthermore, everything deleted after a few minutes, preventing me from running simulations.
Please help me get a persistent example where I can log in and test everything. Thank you.

I don’t think this comment is for HBook. We don’t offer back-end demo, so you can not have tried HBook admin demo. 
Coming back to your project, HBook is not meant for taking restaurant reservations. It works per night basis, as hotel reservations.
We have clients who use HBook for day reservation (for example half-day co-working space, equipment rental, etc.). However, HBook can not be set with times to be selected, as time slots for restaurant reservations or appointments.
I suggest that you search for an appointment plugin, for example.

Hi can this plugin do the following: We have some specific requirements from a client:
1. fixed date ranges (duration is always thursday to monday) 2. More than one fixed date range (3 day, 4 day 5 day) 3. Granular adjustment for bank holidays – In the UK a bank holiday monday would result in exquipment hire getting an extra day. This would apply to 4 hire weeks of the year and Christmas special rules

I have a feature request that I believe would enhance its functionality. Specifically, I’m looking for the ability to set a custom deposit amount per accommodation type.
Here’s my scenario: I’ve set up an accommodation with two pricing rates—daily and monthly , and both work perfectly. However, I’d like to configure an additional deposit amount that only applies to bookings of one month. While I understand that deposits can be added via the payment section, it would be much more efficient and user-friendly to define this directly within the accommodation pricing structure.
Is this currently possible with the plugin? Alternatively, is there an addon or workaround that supports this level of customization?
I would greatly appreciate any guidance or recommendations you can provide.

Thank you for your feedback.
With the current version, the deposit is a setting that applies to all accommodation types. We wish to add an option to override the default deposit settings. It will be indeed in the accommodation type settings, as we have done to override the default opening dates for an accommodation type.
It will not be added in version 2.1, which is the next release, but it is in our wish list. We are currently working around payments, and this feature is one that we would like to implement. Thank you for your patience and comprehension!
Which payment gateway do you use? What you could do, if you use Stripe, is to ask only for credit card details at the time of the booking. You can enable later charge of the payment method, in HBook > Payments > Stripe settings. Then, when you receive a monthly reservation, you can debit the card of the deposit amount, directly from HBook Reservations list.
This is the closest I can get.

HBook n’a pas de fonctionnalité pour modifier la durée minimum requise, si la date d’arrivée est sous 5 jours.
Vous pourriez utiliser une solution alternative qui serait de dupliquer votre/vos types d’hébergement afin d’avoir par exemple “Appartement dernière minute” (durée minimum 2 nuits, durée maximum 4 nuits) et “Appartement (normal)” (durée minimum de 5 nuits).
HBook permet de définir des périodes d’ouverture différentes selon les types d’hébergement. Vous pourriez donc limiter “Appartement dernière minute”. Normalement, la date maximum sélectionnable est paramétrée en nombre de mois, mais avec une modification du code (simple) vous pourriez indiquer un nombre de jours (5 jours).
Si vous souhaitez tester, n’hésitez pas. Pour information, nous acceptons les remboursements sous 8 jours.

Merci pour votre réponse et la solution proposée. Cependant, je vois un problème avec la duplication des types d’hébergements.
Si l’on duplique un bien (par exemple, un appartement en version “dernière minute” et une version “normale”), le même hébergement reste réservable à la fois en dernière minute (48h, 5 jours avant l’arrivée) et pour des séjours plus longs sans limitation. Cela risque de créer des conflits dans la gestion des disponibilités.
Mon besoin est le suivant :
Les séjours de 48 heures doivent être réservables uniquement dans une fenêtre de dernière minute (à 5 jours avant l’arrivée).
Tous les autres séjours, de plus longue durée ( de +48h), doivent être réservables à tout moment sans restriction.
Est-il possible de gérer cela directement, sans devoir dupliquer les types d’hébergements ?

Il vous faut utiliser les “Blocages” automatiques de HBook, afin que les disponibilités soient correctes. Quand la version “dernière minute” est réservée, HBook bloque les dates pour la version “normale”, et vice-versa.

I have a client who needs to create a hotel listing website.
I have a couple of queries
1. Does it support multi vendor system? Like users can sign up and create their hotel listing? If not, whether the admin can create a user account and allocate the property to the specific user so that they can manage that specific hotel? Even after assigning the property to the specific user, admin will have full control over the property like, edit booking, block rooms etc?
2. Hope it will support room count in room settings. Like if I have a hotel with 10 rooms, I can define, Deluxe room – count as 10, whenever some one books a room, availability will become 9 for that specific date. Is that works similar way? If yes, whether the room count availability will be visible in availability calendar?
3. If I use any other theme to display all the property details, Whether I can use only the availability calendar on the front end of that theme to align with the existing design?

1. HBook is not meant to be used for multivendor sites, with individual access to each owner/vendor. It is not possible to allocate a property to a user.
Our clients who use HBook for various hotels (with owner A managing hotel A listings, owner B managing hotel B listings, etc.) use a WordPress Multisite with each owner having a sub-site.
2. Yes. HBook works with room count. You set an accommodation type (for example, “Deluxe room” and indicate how many of this type you have). Let’s say you have 10 deluxe, availability will become 9 rooms for a date when someone booked a “Deluxe room”. You can have the number of rooms left displayed in the search results, but not in the calendar.
3. You can use another theme, all good. You can use your theme page to create the property details and add HBook shortcode in the page. You will create HBook accommodation types only for the set-up of the booking system, and you can indicate which page is the matching page for display purposes. I am interested in purchasing your plugin, but I would like to confirm that it fits our needs. We have event-based rental rooms. Basically, we only open when there are events. Events usually happen on weekends (but can last for up to 10 days).
We would like to know if it’s possible to achieve the following with your plugin:
1. Only allow reservations on the days we have events. Price of stay is different per event. Shared accomodations (different people can rent a bed in the same room).
2. If I create an event page on my site, can I put a shortcode with search feature which limits reservations to only the days of that event? In other words, if an event will be from January 5th to January 12th, could I limit the search function on that page to only those dates? This would limit the person to only make reservations for that event on the correct dates without having to worry if they are booking the correct dates for the event.
3. Min/Max reservation dates per event (maybe this can be achieved with seasons feature?) For example, the person must book a min/max of 1-3 days for event A and must book a min/max of 5-7 days for event B.

1. Yes, you can allow reservations only when you have some events. You can either block dates that are not bookable or set rules to prevent bookings.
Yes, the price can be different per event. Yes, you can use HBook for shared rooms.
2. Yes, you can limit the search for an event that will be only for the dates of the event. In such case, what you will do is to create the event as an accommodation type, and you will set specific opening dates. You can set the opening dates to be different for each accommodation type (= event type for you).
3. Yes, You can set minimum and maximum stay for this.

You can set different prices accoring to the lentgh of stay. You will create a “Special rate” advanced booking rule in HBook – Booking rules. Then, you can create your rate in HBook – Rates.
