I wondered why I couldn’t autoupdate the plugin in the dashboard. Checking this website to find out that autoupdate in Dashboard starting with version 8.1 is only possible with a valid support license which costs around 60 USD PER YEAR?!
Hello, The auto-updates are accessible with an active support tenure. If the support tenure of your license has expired, then you can renew it under the customer center or here on codecanyon and then import it into the customer center: support.wpbakery.com.

No excuse. Turning off automatic updates is just pure and dumb greed. This will not benefit you or your customers.
There is no WordPress plugin that cannot be updated via the dashboard. If this is your new pricing model, you should soon lose customers to Elementor or something similar. we purchased 136 licenses over the past few years. Is it correct that the feature ‘automatic updates’ now cost us $5,700 per year?
Alternatively, would we need to update 136 sites manually via sFTP?

Hello To buy a support license when you have a license is a force, why should i have support license when i don´t need support? Need to look around for other option then…. is like i double pay for this product.

Thx, for your answer. But that`s a joke? I bought many licence with lifetime, in the last years and it`s very difficult, on the customer websites, update the plugin with FTP… and the price every 6 month is very high… please change to “update in dashboard” again…
Its driving me mad that my wpbakery account when I am logged in will not allow me to raise a ticket. There is no support email. My account will not allow me to import a license though it states I should. I purchased a license on codecanyon / envato and I cannot use it. My website wpbakery plugin is asking for a license but there is nowhere to insert it as the activate license tab redirects me to my wpbakery account and there is no license there as it wont allow me to import it!!. Going round in circles.
As the license is purchased via codecanyon in this case you should import the license into your WPBakery account. To do so, you can login into: support.wpbakery.com/login If you are not sure about the login details, then use the reset password option and use the email id associated with your codecanyon account. Once logged in, navigate to licenses page and click on “import it” option at the bottom of the page. It will then prompt you to login into codecanyon to complete the import. You can then activate the plugin license as per: https://wpbakery.com/video-academy/activate-wpbakery-page-builder-wordpress-license/

Hi, I’m updating a older site and the developer used this full plugin version 5.4.2 instead of using the theme provided Salient Visual Composer. I updated everything and everything looks the same. The only issue left is with the WPBakery Builder. Whenever I update to 8.0.1 everything get’s corrupted across the site, elements are missing, misaligned, etc. I would keep the 5.4.2 if it wasn’t the Wordfence is considering as highly vulnerable and suggest to at least install 7.8. My questions are: Is there a way to install 8.0.1 or is there a procedure so that it will update the content? Would 7.8 be more compatible with 5.4.2 if so where can I download it. Thank you
Hello, There can be an issue if it is using a modified version of the plugin which is customized for a specific theme. In such case, you can obtain latest version of modified plugin from the theme developer to use it on your setup.

fixed via custom-css but will be nice there is one in settings.: a#vc_load-inline-editor.vc_inline-link{ display: none !important; }
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to hide “Edit with Editor” using WPBakery. You can use custom CSS like you are doing to hide it.

Hi I bought this a while ago but only started using it, when I activate it is making the mobile menu not work. When I deactivate it works but the site is build on WPBakery so I need to keep it activated. Can you please help me?
Hello, The mobile menu is something that is controlled by the theme. It will require further debugging into the menu rendering to identify the exact code that is responsible for the conflict. Once found, a custom code can be written to handle the conflict.

Hi is it possible to self host a row background video? The youtube embed process adds several megabytes of external scripts to our pageload. We want to just upload the video to wordpress and use it in the background?

However, we do have many third-party addons (under add-ons section of codecanyon) that enhance the video backgrounds and might have such a feature. Please make sure to re-confirm the functionality with the respective add-on developer before making any purchase.

This could be fixed with CSS, but WooCommerce also has a filter named “woocommerce_admin_disabled”, however, I couldn’t get the filter to work.
