I have a non understanding regarding to the Credit Notes and I hope you can clarify it for me in order to understand correct. I think the Credit Notes should to work as follow as it works in any other software: 1. An invoice is released and paid. That mean, the state of the invoice is “Paid”. 2. If the customer request refund for the paid invoice, than should be made a credit note. Once the credit note is made, the state of the invoice should to pass in “Credited”. Also, the amount of credited invoice (refunded amount) should be reduced from the incomes (paid invoices).
It seems that Perfex si not working in this way. If a credit note was made for a paid invoice, the invoice remain in state “Paid” (in any other software the “Paid” state mean that the payment has been received for the released invoice. Also, the amount of the credited invoice is not reduce from incomes.
Is there any possibility that credit notes to work according to points 1 and 2 above, as is working this function of credit note in any other software.

The credit note is used when an eq customer overpays you but he doesn’t want his money and wants to have them stored in the system as credits, in this way when he will need to pay something in the future, those credits can be used. Also, the credit notes are used eq if a customer already paid an invoice and then changes his mind and you need to issue a refund.
Credit notes can be applied only on unpaid invoices.
You should not create credit not if you paid the money back to the customer, the credit note is used if you don’t pay the money back, in this case, the money is converted to credits which can be used later for this customer to apply on unpaid invoices, etc…
Please keep in mind that the credit notes are not shown in the customers area as in most cases they are used for the company purposes via the admin area, the customers can see their balance via the STATEMENT feature in the customers area as well staff can see the customer statement in the admin area via the customer profile.
When you create a credit note and add credits to an invoice, in the admin area, when you are viewing the credit note, you can see the invoices that you credited by clicking in the “Invoices Credited” tab – https://i.imgur.com/fuVGTNC.png
On the actual invoice, the credited amount will be shown at the bottom: https://i.imgur.com/GYA8I93.png

I understand. But usually, the Credit Note is used also when the amount should be returned to the buyer for the paid invoice and once the credit note is released, the amount of the invoice is turned with minus. Take it into consideration because it seems that from perfext it inot possible to create credit note in order to returned the money to the buyer for paid invoice. As a reference on how the credit note should work for returing the amount of a paid invoice is RISE CRM.

Some enhancements to the default features of CRM that would be greatly appreciated.
1. Track Open & Read Ticket Reply Email Alerts 2. Track Bounce Emails from the System and Disable them with a Note 3. We should have control over stopping reopening a ticket by email to a certain day after closing. As of now customers can reopen a 2-year-old ticket by just replying to it. 4. Contract Currency must be Customer Default currency, as of now USD Customers are viewing contract price as INR Price since INR is our System default Currency. It’s a Glitch at this moment and the customer raised concern for this too.

I was wondering if it’s possible to add external download links in the files tabs? For example, if I need to upload a big file but want to do it on an external tool like Wetransfer…since it’s still a “File”, I would like to keep everything file download things in the same tab.
Is that something possible to do?
Like having a button ”+ download link” and it opens a modal, you paste the download link, description, etc.
I know I could use the Discussion tab for this, but it would make more sense for me to keep every files organized in the Files tab.

The currency used for transactions (invoices/estimates/proposals/contracts, etc) is the customer profile’s currency.
You can only bill a customer in one currency, The currency is automatically selected based on your default currency or currency set for the selected Customer you selected previously in the customer profile. If the currency for this customer is USD it will be automatically selected and cannot be changed,

Note: if you have already recorded a transaction (invoices/estimates/proposals/contracts, etc) for this customer you would not be able to change the currency, In this case, you will have to delete all previous transactions in other to change the currency.

Hello, How can I disable the mandatory start date for a task? I’m starting my first project and I have to enter about 300 tasks. I don’t have the start date for most of the tasks and the problem I have now is that I can’t enter any task because it forces me to provide the date (which is a negative surprise to me, because I’ve used more than 20 applications to manage projects and I’ve never had this major inconvenience in any of them). I really appreciate the help, since my work is practically stopped by this situation.

Estimates issue the same as everyone, that seems to be a capitalisation issue so should be easy to fix. but no one has mentioned this so I’ll mention our Timesheets report (/admin/staff/timesheets?view=all) is also giving an error.
