Hi there,
Few clients of us reported this issue with Image Carousel element, when the container is below the fold (not visible on page load) the images are being cut and not properly shown:
Issue / Client 1: https://d.pr/i/jJdDko Issue / Client 2: https://d.pr/i/WXwCVK
I did disabled the theme and tried only with WPBakery activated, the result was the same.
There is actually a fix, resizing the window but that is quite inappropriate way.
Can you please take a look onto this issue and provide a fix.
Best, Arlind
We did not see the issue when we tested with our standard Image Carousel element. Please create a support ticket at support.wpbakery.com with your site credentials and confirmation of site back up so we can check and help you with this. You need to log in to support.wpbakery.com with the email address with which the license was purchased.

That issue is on a customers site which we are unable to share credentials.
However I created a page on our site:
https://demo.kaliumtheme.com/main/vc-images-carousel-issue/Is this the intended behavior of carousel, a blank space continues to slide when reaching the end, see this video:
https://d.pr/v/9kILJ1This is something that needs to be fixed. Carousels when they reach the end won’t slide for a blank spot.
Hi, 1) The carousel by default reloads when the empty space reaches the first position. This was how the carousel was implemented when it was initially introduced within the plugin. 2) Regarding the issue with images getting cut, when we check: https://demo.kaliumtheme.com/main/vc-images-carousel-issue/ the images it is displaying as this for us: https://prnt.sc/1FxsItXDyPbM However, when we check the images from source, they are displaying same there as well:https://demo.kaliumtheme.com/main/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/blog5.png. Please share screenshots of how the images are getting cut or any steps to replicate the issue so we can help you .

The problem with #1 is that why it should swipe for another 2 blank spaces rather than start from beginning? You may check all the carousels implementation, they when they are in loop, they either start from beginning or continue in infinite mode.
And about #2 that occurs only on some circumstances, maybe its best for you to try implementing the imagesLoaded event and recalculate the size of carousel.
Can’t wait for a fix for the color picker! So frustrating to not be able to delete the color! Do you have an ETA on this fix? Many thanks Best
The fix should be included in the next release 8.0. It is currently in development and should be out soon. Unfortunately, we can’t give a time for release. You can set the transparency to 0 as a workaround till the release.

It is amazing that for 12 years – there is still no simple way to temporarily hide blocks/elements with one hide button (a row can be hidden – but the whole one is very far inside the settings) the element is not hidden in any way, only manually through code. – What year are we living in? Maybe I’m wrong and there is an easy way?!
Hi, The hide/disable feature is currently available for container elements such as sections, rows, and columns. This allows you to hide both the container and its content. However, this functionality is not available for individual elements.
For individual elements, you can add a custom CSS class and apply the display: none; property to hide them.

I have a WPBakery page builder license for lifetime, however it expired long time ago. i was still able to access the template library for my website.
I now notice i need to pay the full price again just to access the template library for another year. This is squeezing more money out of people like me who paid for a ‘lifetime’ license, it is very contradictory if you are calling it a ‘lifetime’ when it really is not. Soon we will be paying for each update!
Why did this change happen all of a sudden?
With my expired licejnse I have always been able to access the template library, i am not happy about this change, i don’t think i can support this product anymore with new changes taking more money.
Hi, The plugin license includes lifetime validity along with free updates for life. However, the support tenure associated with the license expires after one year.
It can be renewed to obtain additional benefits which include features such as AI, access to the template library, support access, etc.
The page builder can also be used without renewal of support tenure. However, in such case, the features dependent on active support tenure will not be accessible.
You can check the benefits of an active support tenure here: https://kb.wpbakery.com/docs/faq/what-are-the-benefits-of-renewing-support-tenure/

Good afternoon. I would like to buy your product, but I have a couple of questions. I will have a test server\subdomain on which I will make a website on WordPress (with your WPBakery Page Builder) – which I will later transfer\upgrade to the website that I have now (Joomla). ?Question. Can I activate your WPBakery Page Builder on a subdomain (test site), then transfer it and reactivate it on the original site? Subsequently, the key\activation will only be on the original website (domain)
The license activation is not mandatory for a staging site. You can use the plugin without activating it’s license on it. The license will be required if you want to avail of auto-updates, access the template library, and use Ai features. It is mandatory to activate the license on the live site. You can deactivate(https://kb.wpbakery.com/docs/wpbakery-page-builder-how-tos/how-to-deactivate-and-reactivate-license/) and activate licenses (https://wpbakery.com/video-academy/activate-wpbakery-page-builder-wordpress-license/) between any domain if you want.

WPBakery triggers the following deprecated notices in Edge:
[Deprecation] -ms-high-constrast is in the process of being deprecated. Please see https://blogs.windows.com/msedgedev/2024/04/29/deprecating-ms-high-contrast/ for tips on updating to the new Forced Colors Mode standard.
This is related to the following media query:
@media (-ms-high-contrast:active),(-ms-high-contrast:none){}
Just a heads up in case you haven’t noticed.

For the love of everything sacred in this world please put a ‘clear’ option in the colorpicker. The inability to remove a color once added is insane an possibly the most frustrating thing I have encountered in UX in the last 24months. Having to make items transparent and add to css bloat is so dumb.
We are aware of this and this will be added in a future release. At the moment the workaround is to set the transparency to 0.

Over the years, I’ve gotten a lot of questions from people not understanding how to add backgrounds to elements. Can you please consider adding a label to the background image section in the CSS box?

Hello, sorry for my bad English. I will try the best. What is the roadmap regarding accessibility in visual composer? Are there any plans regarding this?
br
ups…. I mean WPBakery…
Hello, The WPBakery Page Builder is partially compatible with accessibility guidelines. We do have plans to make it fully accessibility compliant. However, this is something that will take time as it will require some major changes within some of the element rendering.

Hi There, I have a verified purchased license for this item and I have the latest version installed on my Wordpress site: https://STEAMinAI.org. It seems that the video player cannot embedd the videos on Wordpress. I have tried YouTube and Vimeo. I have 7 videos on my page. Upon reloading the page multiple times a couple of them show up occasionally while most don’t and leave a blank space on the page. I’ve tried moving the code to different positions on the page. Tried to use different versions of the page. But I’m not able to fix it. I have video testimonials that are a must for my business. Do you know of such an error caused due to WPBakery Page Builder Plugin on Wordpress? Is there a way to fix this? your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Hi, The videos on page: https://steaminai.org/ seems to be displaying fine for us after accepting the cookie policy. Before accepting it, the videos are blocked from rendering.
Can you please share the screenshot of area/section where the videos are not getting displayed at your end?

Hi!
I see that this problem has already been reported by other users but you have not considered the problem that occurs when testing any online installation (please note non-local): https://codecanyon.net/comments/30970795 Since version 7.9, every time I interact with a module for the first time, I get a JS error that prevents me from saving anything.Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'save')
I have to close the module and reopen it to continue working. This is particularly frustrating with the new ‘Auto Save’ feature, as there’s a risk of working on a module for a long time before realizing that changes aren’t being applied.
The issue occurs on every online installation (non-local), even with default themes and no other plugins active. Here a screencast: https://lopezb.d.pr/v/XhpEmJ
Any advice, other than renewing support for something clearly replicable, is appreciated.
Hello, We have received one report of such issue but when we tested it on local server and an online server we were unable to replicate the same. We suspect that it might be something specific to a server configuration which might be causing such an issue. Since we are unable to replicate the issue from our end, it restricts us from debugging it further to locate it’s exact cause and hence to release a fix for it. We would love to investigate it further if you drop us ticket via support portal: https://support.wpbakery.com/ and share your temporary login details in it. This will ensure that we can identify it’s cause and apply a fix for it.

Hi, will you allow editing WPbakery on mobile or tablet? It’s very frustrating when I can’t edit posts based on your editor on tablet even if browser is switched to PC view.
Hello, Yes, we have it on our list to optimize the builder so that it can be used across devices with smaller screens and touch interfaces.

Hi there,
Wp-bakery page builder are loading external (and not required) resources when interacting with one of my plugins and its date picker. It is possible that there are settings or code within these components that are loading resources on top of plugin, so I need to check your settings and disable any functions at the date picker level so that only the code of plugin can work within the page I am browsing.
Can you please help me with this?

How can I get the old version now without having to pay another 60$?
Hello, You can also restore the site using a backup to an older date before the update which will also restore the plugin to the previous version that was used on the site.
Most hosting providers have daily backups and you can contact the hosting provider to check for the backup of your site.
If you drop us a ticket via the customer center, then it will not only allow us to provide you with a download link of the older version, but it will also allow us to check the actual problem of why there is an issue with the latest version on your site.

Since I haven’t received any response in a week, I’m reposting the topic out of fear that it may have been overlooked and to understand if it’s something you’re working on: I noticed a bug in version 7.9. In the video below, I demonstrate a test conducted with no other plugins active and using a default WordPress theme (TwentyTwentyOne, but it also happens with other themes). If a CSS box is present in the module – as shown here: https://undsgn.d.pr/i/24xDgZ – the first time I try to save (without having interacted with other modules yet), this console error appears: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘save’). Here’s the video showing the issue: https://undsgn.d.pr/v/FmkMyI Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Best.

I performed the same test on several different installations (both remote and local servers). The issue consistently occurs on remote servers (various servers, to be precise), but it does not happen locally. So, if you’re testing locally, I’m afraid you’ll need to check things differently.

Hi there,
Are you aware that this hook: https://d.pr/i/t0QNYl in js_composer/include/classes/core/class-vc-base.php:801 is causing PHP deprecated notices in newer versions of PHP:
PHP Deprecated: preg_split(): Passing null to parameter #2 ($subject) of type string is deprecated in ~/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 3494
Since “the_content” requires a “string” value: https://d.pr/i/EPfYzR
But you return null on this hooked function: https://d.pr/i/XDi6wc
You can test it with newer PHP versions and confirm by yourself.
Please consider fixing it.
Best, Arlind

Hi,
Simply open this file at exact line:
js_composer/include/classes/core/class-vc-base.php:801
And you will see that returning value is null, which is incompatible with the filter the_title.

In 7.9 if one uses the ‘vc_css_editor’ filter to modify the color picker output to use a custom color picker (using str_replace to modify the HTML) you end up with a JS error: https://a.cl.ly/Kou8BjAn
Thanks!

I can give you the code I’m using but it won’t do anything for you because you would be missing my color picker component.
But you can replicate the issue with this code, which will change the custom WPBakery color picker with the native browser color type input:
add_filter( 'vc_css_editor', function( $css_editor ) {
$css_editor = \str_replace(
'<div class="wpb-color-picker" /><input type="text" name="border_color" value="" class="vc_color-control vc_ui-hidden">',
'<input type="color" name="border_color">',
$css_editor
);
$css_editor = str_replace(
'<div class="wpb-color-picker" /><input type="text" name="background_color" value="" class="vc_color-control vc_ui-hidden">',
'<input type="color" name="background_color">',
$css_editor
);
return $css_editor;
} );
Thanks!
- AJ
Hi, Thanks for sharing the code. We added it via theme functions.php and then tried using the color picker. However, when we check the browser console, it does not show us an error.
Can you please let us know if we are missing any steps to replicate the issue?
