Hello,
I recently moved my site from a dev site to a live site and purchased a NEW LICENSE code for the new site. The activation is saying it is successful, but then it will ask me to activate again and not let me proceed.
I am using license code purchased today: **(ENDING DIGITS) = 761d2b6
zoomcatmedia as purchaser id
url https://www.showbackdrops.com
Any assistance to getting this activated so I can access settings would be appreciated.
Thanks!!
-Chris
Hi Chris,
it sounds very strange. From the database I can see that the license has been properly activated.
- your email address
- full admin access to the wp-admin area
- FTP access
- A detailed step by step guide on how to experience the issue
I can perform some further tests to see if it is possible to determine the cause.

Thank you for your collaboration.
Thanks. Email has been sent.
Hi, I’m back for a new problem : When I upload a file and validate him, the plugin (and the thumbnail) disappears. I must refresh page to see it again. (use WP6.6.1 and woocommerce 9.2.2). thank you.
I precise I use the plugin in product page with shortcode management
Hi,
what do you mean by validate? Could you link here the page? I can try performing a first analysis.
Eventually, I need a wp-admin and FTP access to perform some further tests.
Sorry, I had have to search before disturb you. So I identify the problem : After an file upload on my product page, the file thumbnail (and the upload area) disappear. Since the restriction is set on the product attribute and the attribute is set as not used for variations, the thumbnail of my uploaded file is not displayed (nor is the upload field). No rush to fix this, I can work around it. Thanks for your previous quick reply.
Good day,
I am interested in your product, but does the Upload Files plugin support Variable Products or only Sinple Products?
Regards John
Hi John,
yes it supports also variable products. You can upload a file for each variation your variable product has!
Hi oswaldopzHi, I’m trying to install the plugin on my second domain and it doesn’t accept my information. I’m sure I’ve installed it on only one domain. Can you help me? This is my purchase information.
Envato username: oswaldopz
Item Purchase Code: 415eb74f-f2fe-47dd-bc9a-883cc4a38eab
Hi, please try using a Fully HTML5 compliant browser like Chrome or Firefox. Note that the second activation has to be used for testing purposes only.
If the issue still persists, if you renew your license and send me via private message (click on my name and then use the low-right box) the following data:- your email address
- full admin access to the wp-admin area
- FTP access
I can perform some further tests to see if it is possible to determine the cause.

Thank you for your collaboration.
Hello there. I have an Envato Elements account, and I downloaded this plugin from there. I downloaded the license file from the Envato Elements account too, but there is no license key or anything in there. This is what I see.. so where is the actual license key?
LICENSE CERTIFICATE: Envato Elements Item

This license certificate documents a license to use the item listed below

Hi,
This plugin (WooCommerce Upload Files) has never been available on Elements. The license you are reporting is, in fact, for the “WooCommerce File Approval” plugin (which, by the way, is no longer available on Elements).
Thank you. You are correct, I was posting under the incorrect plugin. Yes I am referring the the File Approval plugin. It is indeed still available on Elements as I just downloaded it yesterday and I can still see it on there even now.
I’m sorry, for economic reasons, the plugin is no longer available on Elements.
We are having several difficulties with this plugin.
1: we have connected it to Dropbox and the files are uploading successfully but they are in randomly numbered folders. https://share.wirebirdmedia.com/YEubAd4q
We do have a plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wt-woocommerce-sequential-order-numbers/) in place to create sequential numbering (because Woo doesn’t do this and it causes crazy confusion) – https://share.wirebirdmedia.com/yAuevL9b – is it possible to associate this numbering with the Dropbox folder?
2: it appears that the crop feature requires us to enter a fixed crop ratio / dimensions in the settings. Is it possible to have those dimensions to be able to be entered by the user? We are working with art prints and do not want a fixed ratio UNLESS we can have it pull from the user-entered height and width fields on our custom order form. Is that at all possible?
I’ve tried entering zero dimensions to make it not a fixed ratio (as with other settings) and that did not appear to work.
3: since we are using a single upload field with the ability to upload multiple files but are not displaying it until the thank you page for performance reasons, we are concerned about not knowing which file goes to which product. How does the plugin determine this? Is there a way for the user to check off which image goes with which product or some other method?
THANK YOU!!! Sara

I’ll take a further look.
Regarding the crop, from my tests, it seems to be working. Did you try enabling the “allow resize” option: https://nimb.ws/5k6ayLr
If still not working, could you try using this site: https://codecanyondemo.work/wcuf/wp-admin/ (user: demo, pass: demo) to recreate you scenario and report to me how to experience the issue? thank you.
The uploads have completely stopped working. We’ve talked to WP Engine hosting extensively and they say it is not on their end. There are no error logs in your plugin so we have no insight into what the issue may be.
I will message your support. I feel like I did that yesterday though and only part of it was answered here? And it doesn’t email me my submission which is frustrating!
We are still completely unable to upload anything and I have yet to hear back on my support email. Can you please help?
It’s looking like we might need to look for a different solution. I am testing other options.
Yes, I replied to you emai, but I forgot the cc. Recheck your inbox, ill forward to the cc you sent.
Hi, Vanquish. I was just wondering if there is a way of omitting the image upload option and just have the text box option, for certain items instead of both image and text?
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
I’m really sorry, it is not possible
The plugin is designed to associate files with products. With files, the user can associate some text. But if no file exists, no text exists.
You might consider using this other plugin of mine: https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-conditional-product-fields-at-checkout/22556253
At checkout il will display extra fields (in your case text field) for each product (or just the one you need) in the cart.
Thanks for the rapid response, Vanquish. I looked over your plugin and it works but I prefer the fields to be on the product page. Just my personal preference.
Thanks all the same, I shall muddle along with what I have, as it works great
Oh, for some reason the auto update to version 83.0 crashed my site with :
AH01071: Got error ‘PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Cannot use object of type WP_Error as array in /home/**/web//public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-upload-files/classes/vendor/vanquish/com/Updater.php:42\nStack trace:\n#0 /home//web//public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(324): WCUF\\vendor\\vanquish\\com\\Updater->upgrader_pre_download()\n#1 /home//web//public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php(205): WP_Hook->apply_filters()\n#2 /home//web//public_html/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-upgrader.php(319): apply_filters()\n#3 /home//web//public_html/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-upgrader.php(831): WP_Upgrader->download_package()\n#4 /home//web//public_html/wp-admin/includes/class-plugin-upgrader.php(380): WP_Upgrader->run()\n#5 /home//web//public_html/wp-admin/update.php(51): Plugin_Upgrader->bulk_upgrade()\n#6 {main}\n thrown in /home//web/**/public_html/wp-content/plugins/w…’, referer: https://*****/wp-admin/update-core.php?action=do-plugin-upgrade
Hi, it sees that the updater is generating and error, but is not clear why. Please update to the latest version I’ve just released
Hi again Vanquish. I am unable to update to the newest version, as it insists on crashing my site. Thats 83.0 and 83.1 both crash the site with a fatal error
From my tests, all seems working fine.
Please try to delete the plugin, redownload from codecanyon and reinstall (don’t worry you wont lose any setting).
If still experiencing crash, please enable the WordPress debug mode and debug log ( https://wp-staging.com/docs/enable-wordpress-debug-log-mode/ ). To do that insert the following lines in the wp-config.php you find on the root of your site:define( 'WP_DEBUG', true ); define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );reperform the test and report me which fatal error message the debug.log reports.
The version I download from here, Envato is 82.9. I thought, maybe it is the auto update that was crashing and manually updating works but as I stated, the downloadable version is still 82.9
Retry downloading. The update process in codecanyon is very slow.
In any case, in the uploader you should be able to download the 83.2: https://nimb.ws/mP6MAGO
Update showing 83.1 which I managed to updatge manually. I guess I have to wait for codecanyon to catch up to 83.2. Whenever that will be. Thank you so much for your help Continue the good work!!!
Glad to hear that!
last but not least, I would ask you to help me: If you enjoyed my efforts to assist you and/or my plugin please consider leaving the 5 stars…It would help me with sales, I would really appreciate it!

Have a great day!
Thank you, Vanquish. I shall get on that, forewith. FYI. Your plugin updated succesfully, automatically to version 83.2. Many thanks.
Hi there. I have finally submitted and paid for support! Although it seems very unfair to charge for the ability to update automatically. However, I now have been able to update the plugin, but I keep getting the message it needs verifying. When I use the correct details, it says “invalid purchase code!”
I have deactivated all the other plugins and it did allow me to verify. However, the upload fields dont appear in the orders and I keep getting the message I need to verify the plugin.
Hi,
Thank you for renewing, I really appreciate it.

Hi,
After one of the recent updates, we’ve noticed that PDF thumbnails are overlapping the status message. Additionally, we’re encountering console errors when uploading PDF files.
Could you please assist in resolving these issues?
Thanks, Michael
Hi Michael,
please use the following site: https://codecanyondemo.work/wcuf/wp-admin/ (user: demo, pass: demo) to recreate your scenario in order to understand if the issue is caused by a plugin malfunctioning.
Please report to me how to experience the issue.
If the issue is happening in your site only, please link me to the page where I can experience it. I’ll try to suggest some custom CSS to use to avoid the interference and if you report more details about the console error message, I’ll try giving you more info on the cause.
Hi,
we are still having the problem which should by solved by the update:
= 82.7 – 17.08.24 =- Fixed the issue due to some internal metakey values were displayed in the order and email product tables
What can we do?

I just installed the new version of the plugin, still all the same issues on the cart & checkout pages. Again, [woocommerce_checkout], no caching, even with all visibility filters turned off the settings are to have the field after the payment box but it shows up below product line items. Well the code shows up with a Loading, please wait…, the download box never shows up. No errors, no debug errors, web server errors. On the cart page the field shows up but then when uploading a file it disappears. It’s quite a mess. Is there anyway I can get an older version, say a few months ago? I pretty sure this happened from an update. Thank you.
Even when I set the field not to show on the checkout page it shows when selecting the payment method, under each product, when it’s set to show below the payment form.
I should say the Loading, please wait shows up, not the actual download field
Also, when I delete the plugin and reinstall all the old data is still there, not very clean after deleting.
Also with the new update, the field doesn’t show on the thank you page, just a “Saving, please wait”
I should also note that on the checkout page the loading please wait below each product shows up whenever changing payment methods weather a field is set to show on that page or not, this is version 82.9, thank you page working again.
Also, I’ve tested the new version on a basic site and same behavior.
In order to understand if the issue is actually caused by a plugin malfunctioning or a 3rd party interference, please use the following site to recreate your scenario: https://codecanyondemo.work/wcuf/ (user: demo, pass: demo) and report to me how to experience the issue.
If the issue doesn’t occur, it means that something in your installation is interfering. To try to have more clues about it, I need to analyze your installation. If you send me via private message (click on my name and then use the low-right box) the following data:- your email address
- full admin access to the wp-admin area

Thank you for your collaboration.
Sorry, I can’t send access to client sites, but the fact that it is happening on multiple sites is very concerning. Is there anyway to get a version of the plugin from 2 months ago?
No, there is no way. Ensure there isn’t any caching interfering and there isn’t any misconfiguration. If the issue is related to the plugin, please use the site I’ve reported and provide me a step-by-step guide on how to experience it.
I used the plug in one of my projects, but it ended. I would now like to use it on another one. Is there a way to delete an existing domain and add another? Since the one that was initially attached will no longer be used?!
The Envato usage license policy allows you to use the software in only one end product (website), not one end product at a time. This means that licenses cannot be migrated from one product to another.
The associated domain uniquely identifies websites once you register a domain that will become the end product for which you are licensed to use the software.
The plugin activation system, however, allows you to activate the license in two domains (the second one should be for testing purposes). In each domain, you can activate unlimited subdomains and subfolders.
If you consumed all these options, you need to buy another license to be comply with the Envato usage policy.
Hi there. We continually have problems updating this plugin in the usual way. It is the only plugin we have that won’t automatically update or allow to be updated manually. The workaround we usually use is to deactivate and delete the plugin. We then download it again from code canyon and reinstall it. This usually works, but when we do this today (22 08 24) the downloaded plugin is not the latest version 82.7; it is still 82.6 which we already have installed.
When we do try to update from the plugin dashboard in Wordpress, we get the following message: “Update failed: The support license has expired on January 18, 2023, 3:35 pm, please renew it by clicking here to continue receiving automatic updates. Your contribution would support the development of the plugin and I would greatly appreciate it.”
We don’t need paid support to use the plugin. We just want it to update in the normal way. As far as I’m aware, paid support is not required for us to use the plugin we purchased.
Please could you address the bug that prevents it from updating normally, or at least make sure the downloadable version from code canyon is the latest version? Thanks.
We are using WordPress 6.6.1 running Storefront theme.
Kind regards,
Martyn
Hello, is there a reason the purchase code doesn’t work for reactivation when you update through re-install?
Hello,
no, there is no reason. You can reactivate the plugin unlimited times in the two domains the license allows. In each domain, you can activate unlimited subdomains and subfolders. Note, however, that the second domain must be used only for testing purposes.
Ensure you are using a fully HTML5-compliant browser and that there are no 3rd party plugins interfering with the activation process.
Hello,
We have a problem with the latest version. After the user uploads a file in the front-end it shows a white screen instead of the box. Refreshing the page shows the uploaded image and the checkout button.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
Hello,
Unfortunately I have no clue. Could you try to perform a clean installation of the plugin (deactivate and delete the old version and then install the new one)? Don’t worry you won’t lose any settings.
Please try also to purge your browser cache.
To understand if the issue is actually caused by the plugin, please use the following site: https://codecanyondemo.work/wcuf/wp-login.php (user: demo, pass: demo) to recreate your scenario and report to me if you experience the issue and how to. Thank you for your collaboration.
Hi there – the plugin is installed but the buttons are duplicated and very squished looking on this page – https://vividmetal.wpenginepowered.com/product/vivid-metal-print-order
Screenshot: https://share.wirebirdmedia.com/BluPJ7kr
Can you please advise on how to remove the duplicate upload button and to improve the overall look of this plugin?
Also, the website is getting hung up when we upload large files which our customers will do regularly (100s of MBs). I was uploading some test images, and a 1.7mb file uploads, but a 37.5mb file will not upload. I waited 7 minutes and it is still uploading.
We are on very good hosting with WP Engine. What can we do to improve the performance of this upload plugin?
Thank you! Sara
Hi Sara,
the plugin inherits the theme style. It happens that the theme is defining some custom css style that alters the button and the layout as you see,
Usually, to override the css, you need to use the browser inspector tool, see which is the class/id of the element you want to restyle, and redefine a custom style according to your needs in your theme css. This is an example for the action button container: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/3hkvlte3jm9xxes8jvoog/wcuf_css.png?rlkey=ltkv2xhwak4gykiii0g8pit4w&dl=0
In your case, however, both the duplicated button issue and the layout issue are caused by the fact your backend is not loading the plugin CSS file for the product page. If I manually search in the source code of the page for the wcuf-frontend-product-page.css, that is not loaded by your backend: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/un5nvb4f3elln5rz9lwhj/wcuf_css_loading.png?rlkey=7dtmx21xinyz5gr0ix35fs6c7&dl=0
Ensure that all the plugin files are loaded. If you are using any caching or minimizing js/css plugin, disable or properly configure to not interfere.
Regarding the file transfer, that process depends exclusively on the connection speed and your server processing time. The plugin just sends the files using the standard XMLHttpRequest javascript protocol. Try contacting the server maintainer to have more clues about these slowdowns. Try also giving a look at the server error_log.
As you can test in the demo site (that runs in a cheap virtual web shared hosting), 50mb is uploaded is uploaded in just 50 seconds: https://nimb.ws/DAF180J
Okay so the CSS was loading fine for me today so I don’t think that is an issue anymore. Those weird buttons are gone.
We did find that with this plugin active it is writing huge amounts of code to the end of our Beaver Builder modules that we are inserting via shortcode. This is one of the tooltips that pop up from the purple question marks on that page. It is only displaying as 19817 characters when your plugin is active and this is stopping the tooltip content from being displayed. https://share.wirebirdmedia.com/v1uqljQZ
When we deactivate the plugin the tooltip modal popups display perfectly. Is it possible to make it so that your plugin does not append anything to specific post types? We couldn’t find something for this in settings.
Our hosting (WP Engine) said it is timing out from having too many characters in the query itself. They added a define to the wp-config to allow for those and I think we are good to go. I am curious why this is happening only when your plugin is active though so if you do have any insight on that end I’d appreciate it, thanks!
Hi,
glad to hear that.
What do you mean by a huge amount of code? The plugin just inserts in the product, cart, and checkout page the upload field area HTML + js and CSS libraries. This extra HTML must be included otherwise the plugin won’t be able to implement the features it offers.
The debug.log screen you shared, just reports a custom MySql query that is not performed by the Upload Files plugin
It’s making the lines 19817 or so instead of what is actually in the field. This doesn’t happen when this plugin is disabled. Wp Engine was able to strip it out.
I have the plugin configured to show the upload field only on the thank you page – https://share.wirebirdmedia.com/rRuAEwoL – but it is not displaying at all. It displayed fine on the product page but we are worried about the server hanging up on large uploads which was happening in our tests.
Ideally what I’d like to do is delay the image upload and crop until the thank you page but it’s not showing up. Do you know why? https://share.wirebirdmedia.com/JruZXjDA If they upload the image there will it still be associated with the order number?
I’d also like to send the images to AWS but I’m not finding those settings anywhere and can’t find that part of the documentation either, can you please point me in the right direction?
If it now showing, please ensure you have not enabled any option to restrict the field visibility: https://nimb.ws/pWHT39U . ensure also there is no caching interfering. It should be displayed like this: https://nimb.ws/PgTZvCM
Regarding the AWS images, there isn’t any specific option for that. You can only save images on DropBox or S3 service.
The upload field is still not displaying on our Thank You page. It’s just not there even though there is nothing in the settings blocking it – https://share.wirebirdmedia.com/nOu2NBej
I disabled a Thank you redirect plugin that we had and it showed up. But shouldn’t it have been there even with that active? We didn’t change anything else about the thank you page except formatting and adding text.
Unfortunately I don’t know how that plugin implements its features. It might be blocking some actions and filters to be triggered by WooCommerce, this prevents the Upload Files plugin to be aware that the page is rendered so it won’t inject its data in it.

Hi there,
Unable to upload files again.
Sent you an email with site login and FTP details. Appreciate your prompt response.
Thanks
Hi, please give a look to the private message you sent. Thank you.
hi, i need to change the order in the product page, i have 2 plugins that ar loaded before the add to cart yours and another one, i need yours to be the last one
Hi,
try editing the WCUF_ProductPage.php file you find in the classes\frontend folder and on line 26 change the “99” with the priority you wish.
note that the less the priority the more important is (a handler with a “1” priority, will render the html with before a handler with a “99”).
