I am not familiar about how Ultimate Membership Pro works, If Ultimate Membership Pro users are assigned to a specific user role, you can use the restrict by role option or the individual user option.

Hi fufanet, The plugin works at file level, means the url to file will be protected. So, if you use a protected image in a gallery, it will still be protected from unauthorized users.

Great plugin! Wondering if there are plans to allow users to restrict multiple files via a bulk operation under the “Restrict Individual Files” tab? I have many individual files that I need to restrict for which the “Restrict File by Type” does not apply. It’s quite onerous to restrict individual files one by one.

Hello, I’m wondering if something is wrong with your listing here. I needed support, but my support recently expired, so I came here to check on it. The site is offering to let me renew support for $108.50. That’s quite a high price. In contrast, I could simply buy a new license for less than half that amount ($59.00) and even extend support for 12 months for an additional $20.25. Why would anyone pay to extend support in this instance? I don’t need another license and would rather just extend support, but with this weird pricing scheme, it sort of encourages that behavior. Please let me know. Thanks!

Thanks for your quick reply. Will the plugin work with WP Media Folder? That’s the issue for which I need support. If it will, I will buy another license. I need to be able to set media permissions for a folder and have the folder-level permissions apply to all items in it.
Hi verysiberian, It should work as the files will be still in Media library and stored inside wp-content/uploads/ folder. However, restrictions need to be applied individually for each files or file type, there’s no way to apply restrictions based on folders.

Hi, You can select a page to redirect to for restricted files. You can put login form or link on that page. So, yes you can have the users directed to login.

The plugin was free in may so i bought it and downloaded it. As soon we got into June there was an update which fails with some error code “Update package isn’t available”

Not what I’m looking for. I need a replacement for Memphis Docs for a non profit. Docs is an accessible file system for documents rather than a restriction, although it can do that as well. Also, I don’t see a way to get a license for one site for the free download today.

Any ETA for Multisite compatibility also? Even not network activated but per subsite.

Plugiun looks great, but it don’t works as expected.
In your demo you say zip file “wfam-preview-screenshots.zip” is only accessible only by author role’s users, while you can download the file without to be logged in.

Pre-sales question: I installed free download to test, confirmed .htaccess code inserted, and carefully set up and restricted access to a PDF to logged-in users by role according to the documentation. I also deactivate/reactivated plugin. But I can still access the PDF’s URL from another computer. No access controls seem to work. I like that the plugin is lightweight but don’t know what else to try. Thanks.
Hi rafaeltnp, This may happen if your server is using nginx or hybrid technology (hybrid means a combination of apache & nginx, static files are server through nginx & dynamic files are served through apache on those servers).

Thanks for quick, substantive reply. Hesitant to turn off this Siteground caching. Instead, Siteground suggests specifying URLs to exclude from caching. Need to think about that. Thanks again.
