Ultimate Membership Pro let you sell the memberships through Woo also and using the Woo payment gateways.
So, if that plugin adds extra Woo payment gateway and it’s following the Woo official workflow you should be able to sell membership.

You can restrict access to physical files based on memberships, if is necessary, besides access to the download link, which is like any other content.

Your desired workflow is not entirely clear, and how may it be related to UMP which is a membership system. Still, UMP does not manage portfolios or achievements, but you may have extra tabs inside its Portal page where you can add your own extra options if you wish.
Pre-purchase questions:
1.) Does your plugin allow a free trial for a specific membership role with no credit card required? And if so, can it protect against abuse of people just trying to reuse free trial over and over.
2.) Will I be able to create unique membership roles that I can assign to membership levels? If so, is this included in the $59 package?
3.) Do you have a pay by check or mail-in membership option?

1. You may provide free memberships for this purpose which can be available only for non-registered users and just once.
2. If you are asking about WP Roles, those are not created by UMP system but you can use any free plugin for this achievement and later to link them with UMP Memberships.
3. You have the offline payment gateway as alternarive where members are not paying online but through a wire transfer.
Can i lock an application login page with UMP? So that only member can login and use the apps assigned to them.

A paid member1 is allowed to login to use my app1 .Paid member 2 allowed to login app1 & app2. Free member can login to use app3, etc. i intend to use ump to control user access over my app usage. In such a way that no one can access my app login page without first becoming my member. It will be even better if ump login can be used for app login.

UMP does not control how users may have access to some apps. The membership system can control access to certain pages or particular content from a WP site, not apps.

You can have a Individual Page created for each user, automatically, and where only the Admin and that user would have access. You will find this functionalitiy inside the system under Extensions section.

You may sell your custom plans on your site with the Ultimate Membership Pro plugin. Still, UMP does not manage how members are uploading or managing their uploads, but you may allow or restrict access to a form that facilitates the uploading process, if you wish.

Pre Sales Question: WIth the integrations for OPT IN when a user registers. It automatically adds the registered user aweber email list.
What happens when a user cancels their subscription? Does this plugin automatically remove them from the email list too? – since its only for paid members.
Does this achieve that? Is there an action to automatically remove them when a membership cancels or expires? Readd them when active?

This particular workflow it is possible only through external addons and only for specific email marketing services, such as MailChimp. MailPoet, Mailster. In this case, members will be updated to the OptIn list accordingly with their memberships.
Nothing is showing up for the login and other shortcodes on pages, including in private browser mode.
I got it to work using Ad Inserter Pro for the shortcodes. Must be a different plugin or something that was causing the issue, I’m not sure. But this way it’s also using lazy load, so it’s better that way too.

The register lite module has the purpose of providing the lightest registration workflow, with minimum fields and steps, so no payment process is linked there. But, you can have the regular registration form set with minimum fields, if you wish, only the email address, similar to register lite, but triggering the checkout step as well.
