Is there a shortcode available to output the Action Button “Custom URL” as plain text?
Hello,
We have a shortcode to place the action button where you want in the single event page: [wcs_event_button btn=”action”] but if you want it plain text, you need to use CSS to style it. All the best.
Hi, Someone asked some time ago about displaying images for events in “Plain List” on mobile devices and got help. Can i get the instructions as well please? Thank You.
Hello,
Please open a ticket and we will send you a line of CSS from support. All the best.
Hi there.
Great plugin. I just have a few questions if you could help please.
1) I notice that multi-day events do not show on many of the styles available. Is there a way to enable multi-day events to show on event carousel or weekly schedule for example?
2) Is it possible to enable more then one action button? I want to enable Download iCal and Go to custom URL.
3) Are there any plans to add a ” add to Google Calendar” in the future?
Kind Regards
Hello,
Multi-day events can be displayed in the Events Carousel style, but not in styles with a daily structure, like Weekly Schedule. For such styles we recommend using Repeat Daily with a last repeat date.
By default, you can add only one action button. It is possible to add a second one, but it will require some custom coding. The easier solution would be to use ACF plugin to add the second button as a custom field and then style it to look like you want. You can read in our dedicated documentation chapter for developers: https://curlythemes.com/support/docs/events-schedule-wp-plugin/#developers-documentation where you can make such changes.
We do have in plan to add Google Calendar as well, but we can not give you a timeframe.
All the best.
In the top version of the demo on your site for the monthly event calendar you have a bunch of filtering options on the right side including ‘Where?’ then a list of theaters below. What is my best option if I need to have 50 or so different places in this list on my calendar? Does the plugin have an option to show ‘Previous’ ‘Next’ etc in this section so I can break them up into groups of 10?
Hello,
We do not have an option for filters navigation or something similar. For long filters list we can only recommend using Left or Right option for Filters Position, which will help a little in this case. It is also possible to add more filters, but if you want all 50 to be in the same one, it is not a solution for you. All the best.
Can I show the next event that’s scheduled in a single text line (with a shortcode?) anywhere on the site? For example on the home page we want to show a text line: “Event XYZ will happen in 3 days. Register now!”
Hello,
We’ve sent a reply to your pre sale ticket. In short, it is possible but using our schedule styles. All the best.
Are events shown with localised time around the world?
Hello,
No, the starting time displayed in the frontend is always the one you have chosen in the event creation page. It will not change based on geolocation. All the best.
We are having an issue where the same short code for a schedule that we built in the backend is showing incorrect time on one page, but correct time on another page in the frontend. Is this a known issue?
Hello,
No, we’ve never encountered such an issue before. If the starting time is correct in the single event page, but incorrect in the schedule or modal, then a local server rule is affecting only the JS displays and it will require a local fix. But different starting times for the same schedule in different pages is a strange issue, could only be a conflict with a script in that particular page. Please open a ticket on our support platform with a link to both schedule pages and we will take a look. All the best.
Can users submit events on frontend/submit form?
Hello,
We do not have frontend submission for events, but since they are a custom type of posts, it is possible for a user with the role Editor or who has these privileges to submit WP posts for admin approval. All the best.
That was sad to read. Do you have a short explanation how to solve the front end submission? (its a must feature as I only want that and a calander really)
We do not have a recommended solution, but a workaround would be to implement a submit forms solution that is able to create a custom WP post based on the fields in the form. Something like this should work: https://ninjaforms.com/docs/post-creation/ All the best.
I’m using the monthly calendar. I’ve found you can change the color of the date, and the color of the class description, but the class name appears in white – which is too light to see on the lighter background. There doesn’t seem to be any option to alter the color of the class name.
Hello,
The class name color is inherited from your theme settings or section where the schedule is placed. If you open a ticket on our support platform with this issue, we can give you a line of CSS to override the rule and choose the color you want. All the best.
Wouldn’t it be nice if we could ad an Open Streetmap in stead of Google Maps in this plugin, since we have to pay for the use of Google Maps now.
Hello,
Thank you for your suggestion. Most of our clients are able to use Google Maps for free with the included API calls, but indeed it could be an issue for sites with a lot of traffic. We are considering various options at the moment to improve the map element. All the best.
Hello. Where can we find dates of the release of each version? In the documentation’s “Release Notes” there are stated only versions without dates. Kind regards.
Hello,
You can find the release notes dates here: https://docs.curlythemes.com/weekly-class-schedule/#release_notes Please let us know if you need more info. All the best.
Great, thank you. Can you please include dates in the documentation PDF that comes inside the downloadable zip package?
The documentation included in the downloaded package is for legacy purposes, if you want to check release notes after a new version release please use that link to the documentation live site. All the best.
Hello dear friends. Great plugin experience.
We have a question: on the Events page, we would like to display past events (under the heading “Past Event”). How can we show ONLY past events on the page? Thanks
Hello,
If you check Show Past events, select 1 day from the How many days to show select box and deactivate Show More button, you will see only past events and events that are today, which is usually a good solution for most clients. If you need to hide today events as well, we can send you a line of CSS from support. All the best.
Yes, please send us the CSS solution as well. Thanks
For the Plain List style, you can use the following CSS:
.wcs-timetable-57 .wcs-class-not-finished {display:none}
where you have to replace 57 with the ID of your schedule. If this does not help, please open a ticket on our support platform. All the best.
Is there a way to create an “all day” event. So an event that does not have a start time. For weeks where there is no class, I’d rather list “No Class Today” vs. showing a Cancelled class. But I don’t want that class to list a time, just the date.
Never mind, I found your answer to a previous customer: You can assign a particular Class Type to these classes and then use CSS to hide the time display only for this Class Type.
Hi Curly!
I started getting “Uses Deprecated APIs” with Google Page Speed and Lighthouse when inspecting my website for optimization.
Debugging always leads to WCS chunk. Any way that can get fixed in the next release?
It kills the “Best Practices” score by -23.
Hello,
Please use a pre sale ticket to send us more details about the deprecated messages you are encountering and we will look into it. Thank you.
Will do! Thanks!
Hi!
Is it possible to put the filters in the Plain List in a specific order. Currently the order is alphabetical. To explain it more precisely: The calendar is for a driving school that offers courses during the holidays. The “Easter holiday course” therefore is listed before the “New Year’s holiday course”. We would prefer if we could determine a specific order for the filters. But I dont know how …
Thank you for your response and best regards
Hello,
The order of the filters is by default alphabetical. It is possible to custom order taxonomies, but you will need a dedicated plugin and a small change in an Events Schedule file. If you need more info, please open a ticket on our support platform with this request. All the best.
Hello, I have presale question, this module can permit to display just the current event according to the hour ?
Best regards
Hello,
Yes, it is possible to set the schedule for such a display. If you set it to show just the next 1 event, then it will always display just the current event. All the best.
Hello, today the option to enter class times has disappeared. How can I make her appear again?
Hello,
The starting time option is a custom field in the post page, just like all the other options, so you should check if that block of options has not been moved in a different location, like below the other boxes. It is possible for a local conflict with another plugin to block our fields, but we never encountered such a situation with the starting time, so it is not very likely. You can also check Screen Options if the custom field boxes are enable.
If this does not help, please open a ticket on our support platform with WP login info for your dashboard and we will check.
All the best.
I want to purchase this plugin but i have some question and need to clear about these question. Question-1: How much event can display at a time? is there any restriction to display the event? Question-2: Do you have elementor widget and is it support custom design?
THANKS
Hello,
You can display as many events as you want, in the same schedule or different schedules. We do not have a widget for Elementor, but the schedule can be added through a simple shortcode in any builder. The schedule styles can be customized through the template file of the style or CSS, if you want a custom design. We have a dedicated documentation chapter for developers here: https://curlythemes.com/support/docs/events-schedule-wp-plugin/#developers-documentation where you can see how it works. All the best.
Hi Alex!
So far everything is very good. I really appreciate your plugin!
But one thing should solved: the ICS file. When I download it on smartphone, the description of the event is not as he should:
the shortcode is shown and signs like
Do you have any idea how to show the description text in a better way?
Thank you
Hello,
The signs are not displayed, I assume this comment field does not support them. Please open a ticket with how your ICS file looks and we will take a look. There are some limitations, but we will try to find a solution. All the best.
Hi, I noticed that in your demo all events open with a popup. Is it possible to open a dedicated page for each event instead? Thanks
Hello,
Yes, you can replace the modal window with a single event page, which looks like this: https://demo.curlythemes.com/timetable-wordpress-plugin/class/event-with-page/ All the best.
