does this plugin has a search box to do keyword search?
No, the schedules do not have a search functionality to search through events, only filters. All the best.
Hey I would like to have one more taxonomy to be a filter, can you help me out if I buy the plugin? Also, I like to disable the modal and have the click to go to the single class page which I ll end up adding more fields with ACF. Can you do a small customization?
This will require some custom coding. If you open a ticket on our support platform with more details about the class page customizations, preferably with a screenshot of how you wish it would look, we can let you know how hard it would be and what is the best solution. All the best.
I havent bought the plugin yet. Again all I need is an extra taxonomy, I would like to add Topics tax to filter and have each event to have its own page (instead of modal)
Even if you haven’t bought the product, you can ask a presale question here: http://curlythemes.com/support/presale-question/ In your previous message you said you want some customizations to the class page. If you open a ticket with more details, we can show you a class page and evaluate how difficult your customizations would be. Yes, we can help you add a 4th taxonomy. All the best.
Hey this is zenics (company account), I am buying your plugin hoping that you ll help me adding that extra taxonomy.
Please read the reply above. We can help you add a 4th taxonomy, but if you have more customization questions, you should open a pre-sale ticket. Thank you.
I just sent a ticket. Thanks
Great, you will receive very soon a reply to your ticket. All the best.
Also is there a way of showing the filters as dropdown, take a look at the categories dropdown (with multiple selections using bootstrap-select) http://thetheme.io/thejobs/resume-list.html
We do not have filters as dropdown option in the current version, but it is a feature we are working on right now. So, we should have soon an option for filters close to the one in your link. All the best.
Really need this feature. I have 20 + options and having them on switch or checkbox pushes the content way down and make it unusable.
Hi, I was wondering is it possible to achieve having either the style of art gallery or cover with the filter style (look) from list? Thanks
No, the masonry grid style has only its default filters that you can see in the demo and the cover is just for a single event. Neither of these styles support the list filters. All the best.
Thank you for responding. Such a shame you can’t pick and choose the style of filters – would that be something you might add in the future?
We have some styling options for the regular filters, like replacing checkboxes with switches, and we are working on adding more flexibility in this area. But the masonry grid has its own filters, part of the grid script, so they will not be customizable. All the best.
Is there a way of overwriting the display templates? Like from the theme folder. Some plugins have this option so if you need customization you don’t mess up the core files?
Yes, you can override the plugin schedule templates through your Child Theme. You can find the PHP files for all schedule styles in the Templates > Display folder. All the best.
That is good, so what folder I am copying to the theme folder? The template folder also do I need to rename it to something else? I kind of need to customize the single class template as well.
You don’t need to rename the folder, just copy in your Child Theme the exact same folders structure. You can do this for the single class page as well. All the best.
so drop the whole template folder into the theme root?
No, I will try to explain it better. If, for example, you wish to make changes to the Events Carousel style, you should create in your Child Theme folder root the following structure: wcs_templates > display > carousel.php For the single class page, you need to create the structure: wcs_templates > single > content.php and make your changes in the file. I hope it makes more sense now. All the best.
Is there a way to hide the cancelled dates on the monthly calendar? Right now it shows as greyed and crossed out. Is there a way to just not have them visible? Thank you!
You should be able to do this through Custom CSS. Please note that, with recent versions, we’ve added other repeatable options, like Repeat Every Two Weeks, which might help if you are trying to hide canceled dates to replicate a different repeatable pattern. All the best.
When I hide the cancelled class in CSS, the dot is still showing in the calendar bc it’s assuming the instance is still there. Is there any way to remove the dot in the calendar? What would the css be…wcs-date—with-events?
Thank you for your response.
one other quick question…can you add iCal button to the details window in the monthly calendar? Many thanks.
The dot does not have a CSS class that can be addressed only for days with canceled classes. You would need custom JS for something like this. As for the iCal button, it will be displayed in the pop up window of the class, but if you want it directly in the calendar, in the class excerpt, it will require changes in the schedule style template file. All the best.
Hi I can’t install the plugin. I’ve got a Fatal Error on: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /kunden/310273_80331/webseiten/alexander-krist.com/wp-content/plugins/weekly-class/classes/class.wcs.php on line 210
From the error message, it could be caused by your server running an old PHP version, 5.3 or lower. You should check your PHP version and, if you are running a current version, please open a ticket with WP login info and we will investigate the issue on your platform. All the best.
We Use WordPress 4.8.3 with Running PHP version: 7.1.6
It should work fine with these versions. Please test for local conflicts on your platform by deactivating other plugins. If you open a ticket with login info, we will investigate the source of the conflict. All the best.
I deactivated the line 244.
Hello! Is your plugin compatible with this theme?
The theme doesn’t use visual composer, so I rather ask first to you guys. Thanks in advance!
For themes without VC, you can add schedules through shortcode. We haven’t tested our plugin with this theme, but it is compatible with most premium themes allowing shortcodes, so you should probably be fine. All the best.
Thanks a lot!
Hope you can help me with this other question:
Can I set custom links to the detail button so instead of the pop up window with the details I can redirect my users to a single page?
You can replace the pop up window with an event single page, like this one: http://demo.curlythemes.com/timetable-wordpress-plugin/class/event-with-page/ but you can not replace it with a custom link. If you wish to add custom links, you need to use the Action Button. This button will be displayed directly in the schedule for Plain List and Weekly Tabs styles and in the pop up window / page for the other styles. All the best.
We just purchased this, but when we download it, it’s a weather plugin…Please advise how we can get the correct file.
It was a temporary issue with the package file on the Code Canyon server, please download the plugin again and it should be fine. All the best.
I’m having an issue w/ getting the plugin to display correctly. I’ve added events for November 10-12, (Friday-Sunday)... however my calendar is showing Sunday as the first day.
See here: http://arco.life/convergence/schedule/
Also, I’ve added different colors for the days, and the Sunday is not displaying it (it just looks grey).
Can you advise please?
Also, I don’t understand how to choose the specific day to show…. I have “daily agenda” showing, and on the frontend, it says “nothing to show” ... and there seems to be no place to choose the date of what the schedule is showing…
The schedule should start with the first day of your WP install settings. Please check if you have this set correctly. The Weekly Schedule style will show by default the next 7 days, but for other styles you can use the How many days to show select box to choose the display. As for the Sunday color issue, I can’t see the color as being assigned in the fronted. Please open a ticket on our support platform with this and we will investigate on your platform. Thank you.
What is the “wp install settings”?? I have dates set correctly on classes… so assuming there is another area you’re talking about….
I’ll open a ticket for colors
Ah, you mean in settings -> general in the backend… got it!
Thanks for your beautiful plugin. In monthly calendar, I would like to change date title F j to j F : have you a solution ?
We will add a Date Format field for the monthly calendar style with the next update. In the meantime, the solution would be to change it in the schedule style template file. All the best.
I see it is wordpress widget ready. From comments I’m guessing that is through shortcodes. Is it possible to divide these up into sections? I run a church site and would need only women’s events to show up on the women’s page, only music events on the music page, etc. Is this possible?
We have an Events Schedule widget available, but you can also add it through shortcode. You can create a schedule for each of your sections, select the content by type (Women’s events, Music events, etc.) and add each schedule in the corresponding section. All the best.
I’m current using the monthly calendar and the ‘day highlight’ always shows the next day. So for example, today (Thursday) there are classes, they are still visible when i click on the day but when I first land on the page it shows Friday as the highlight. I have checked dates in wp and all look fine. Please advise. Thanks in advance.
Do you have the Show Past Events option activated? If yes, you should try deactivating it to test if today’s events are considered past events. This could be caused by incorrect timezone settings in your WP install. Potentially, if your server enforces a timezone rule, it can affect the schedule display. If none of these help, please open a ticket and we will investigate on your platform. All the best.
Plugin looks fantastic.
On this view of the plugin, are you able to add the day in for example Monday 13th November?
Yes, we do have a Date Format field available for the Large List style. You can customize the date display how you want. All the best.
Pre-Purchase Question: do you now have an ‘Add to Google Calendar’ function? Where visitors can add the event to their Google Calendar, not just to iCal?
Thanks in advance.
We don’t have add to Google Calendar yet, only iCal. But it is high priority on our future updates list, we hope to have it soon. All the best.
Oh well. But appreciate the quick response.
Is it possible to add a custom field to the events and display it as a part of the event list shortcode?
A bit more detail of why and what I need:
I see that this plugin only has one date option i.e the start date which is what is displayed in the calendar and is used for sorting the events. Though we have multi day events, this setup works well for me because I only want the start date of any event to be displayed on the calendar. That said because these are multi day events I would like to also display all dates of the event in the description of the event on the event list page.
So I was wondering would it be possible to add a custom text field to to post type event, where we can mention all the dates of the event and display that in the event list. For example we have an event which will be from Nov 1 to 3. I could use Nov 1 which is the start date in the existing date field of the event and than in a custom text field, lets say “All Dates”, We can input manually Nov 1 to 3 and display this field in the event list along with the description?
Would that be possible?
We’ve recently added multi-day events, they are available for the Plain List, Masonry Grid and Carousel styles. You can see how they look here: http://demo.curlythemes.com/timetable-wordpress-plugin/multiday-events-schedule/ Please take a look and let us know if you still need some changes to the default display. All the best.
I would actually prefer the custom field approach (to add specific dates on text field) as compared to multi day because the events date may not be continuous days but could be alternate days as well. So adding the specific dates will suit us more than start and end date.
I understand. We don’t have a custom field option integrated in the plugin, but it is in line with the plugin code. It will require a few hours of coding by an experienced developer. All the best.
Until recently, I’ve used Fooevents, but as business is growing, I’ve outgrown it.
I’m looking to upgrade from Fooevents to a more robust event/ticket management system that’s compatible with Woocommerce.
I don’t really care about how the events/tickets are created or managed on the admin side. The front-end user experience is most important to me, so all the features are based on the front-end user experience.
Please let me know which features your software can accommodate outside of the box, can accommodate with a little bit of roundabout usage, and cannot accommodate at all. Not having any one of these isn’t a deal breaker, as I’m sure all the places I’m talking to don’t have everything I need perfectly.
1. I have 3 main events, all repeated on an irregular schedule. For my users, it would be great to have a page that gives a general explanation of the event, along with signups to purchase tickets for different dates.
Event A is held on November 18, November 28, and December 10. I want to have a single page that describes Event A and has signups for november 18, november 28, and December 10 all on the same page. (For reference, please look at the image here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/n3v2gt1d8uk5lqe/event%20page%20example.001.jpeg?dl=0)
If this isn’t possible, then I’d like to know the solution you have for displaying all the available dates of a single event.
2. I want to show calendars that display all events, filter specific categories of events, or filter specific events and their repeats (ex. All of Event A’s dates).
– the user shouldn’t be able to change the view of the calendar.
3. I want to provide discounts for specific types of members on my site.
– non-members should not see the discounted price
– Integration with “Woocommerce Memberships” is a must.
4. Tickets selections should disappear/ not be accessible once the date of the event has passed
– In the image linked above, this would mean that the red bar at the bottom of the image would disappear.
5. Events that are for specific members only should not be displayed to non-members (we can hide the whole description page along with the purchase buttons).
6. Upon reserving, tickets should be sent to the customer, and they can use the tickets when checking in to the event. (like scanning a code, or checking someone in manually from the backend. I’m assuming this will be an additional cost add-on).
This is a lot of stuff, and thank you for taking the time to read this message.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Our booking through WooCommerce functionality is pretty simple, for such advanced options you would probably need an WooCommerce extension, but we can not guarantee that it will integrate smoothly. Such extensions might help you add discounts, members only events or send custom tickets, but again, we can not guarantee compatibility.
The plugin works with individual classes, you can not assign multiple dates to a single event, you need to duplicate it. You can try using a workaround for this, like creating a schedule for the event, that displays all his instances.
As for displaying all events, filtering events by category, booking disabled for past events, these are all default features of the plugin.
All the best.
