I believe we are missing something. The filter is slow to propagate results and we only have 80 products on our client’s site, using Elementor Pro on Siteground. What plugins and settings are you using to achieve what we see in your Elementor demo page, including faster load time, the sort field (abc), loading overlay?
Hi virbion,
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
When you’re dealing with performance issues, it’s important to remember that how fast the filtering works depends on several important factors. These include, but aren’t limited to:
1. Server CPU capacity.
2. Server RAM allocation.
3. Volume of posts to be filtered.
4. Quantity of filters and search terms employed.
5. Utilization and quality of plugins.
6. Configuration adjustments in the server’s cache.
7. Code optimizations within the plugins, including internal caching (a step already taken in the case of Filter Everything).
8. Database optimization to ensure efficient data retrieval and storage.
9. Network bandwidth and latency for seamless data transfer.
10. Effective utilization of OPCache, which can significantly enhance speed.
Enhancing the filtering process’s speed can be accomplished by optimizing one or more of these critical parameters. The demo here is using Elementor/Woo/ACF/FE. You can place a sorting widget using the widget area Filter Everything – Sorting or with a shortcode, but you still need to have it in the admin dashboard widget area because sorting can be only customized from there. AJAX loading overlay can be set up here – https://prnt.sc/z_INmZ-tvYhn There are no special optimization techniques on the demo pages.

Thank you for the quick response. We had already configured as you recommended and tested after deactivating plugins and using Hello theme. Still having the following issues: 1. Missing overlay and loading icon. 2. Chips are not inline. 3. Styling does not inherit from site.
Can you please send the credentials to the wp-admin dashboard following this document so we can check it? Also, please send the link to the pages with the issue so we can test it right away.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Credentials have been created and sent to you. Thank you!
Well, first thing first, you need to fix the mixed content issue on the site – https://prnt.sc/d5Tne4hD0QM7 and then we can investigate it further, but more likely it will fix it all.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Lol. Obvious miss on my part. That fixed most issues. How can we get the loading icon to overlay the list? putting the Z-index to 0 for the list did not allow the icon to be on top. Also, how do we get the filter to refresh to top of page when changing query? Thanks!
Hi virbion,
1) AJAX icon issue – https://prnt.sc/imFRY1iCrQVD related to this weird z-index.
2) Please provide more information on this matter “Also, how do we get the filter to refresh to the top of the page when changing the query” It’s a bit confusing to understand what do you need.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Thanks. The issue is that the filter is not forcing the list to go to the top.
Hi virbion,
This issue is connected to the page/theme realization or some plugin conflict. But in general, there is a big amount of errors in JS and that’s probably creating some type of conflict with it.
You can use this pattern in order to find the problem. Disable all plugins, leaving FE PRO and some others like Woo only for functionality testing. If it still doesn’t work properly, change the theme to the default one like 2021 (not 2022 or 2023), and check if it is working properly. Maybe it’s some custom code or theme code that’s preventing it from working properly. In this way, you will have 100% correct information on what exactly is causing this issue some plugin, theme, or code.

I’m having some issues with this plugin, perhaps it’s just not the right fit for what i’m trying to do but figured I would ask in case.
1. I’d like to be able to use a standard number input box as a filter field, I have two custom meta fields, one for Minimum Square Footage, one for Max Square Footage. I can’t use range because they’re two separate fields. Is there anyway I can add my own input field as a type? I didn’t see this in the documentation.
2. I can’t create a second filter with the same taxonomy, further I cannot have it only use the parent items. My use case is, I have a “Locations” taxonomy for this custom post type. The parent term is “State” and the children of those are “Cities”. I’d like to be able to have a filter for both State and City, with the current setup it doesn’t even show a clear delineation between Parent/Children terms.
Please let me know if these situations are resolvable.
Hi sharksharkco,
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
1) Since you have two custom fields MIN/MAX. You need to create two filters by custom numeric field, If you don’t need the slider you can turn it off from here and have only inputs – https://prnt.sc/iE9MmIt5JanK You can always use some CSS to create exactly what you would like to see (for example, just one slider with one input field just hiding other input and slider range button). If you want to create one filter that would use two custom fields it is impossible to do with any filter plugins out there.
2) As for the second question, yes it is impossible to create a second filter with the same taxonomy in one filter set. But you can create two filter sets and place them on the needed page, all you need to do is separate the terms you want to show in the first filter set and in the second one. So one will include State and Second only City. But if possible, we recommend creating a separate taxonomy with the CPT UI. This way it will be more convenient in further manipulations with Locations and City.

Hello.
I’m building shop that sells different things from bicycles to instruments and clothes. And i have many categories and custom fields for these products. On each category page i need filter that allows filtering only by custom fields specific for this category. For example products in bicycles category has custom fields (weel size, frame size, brand, brake type, etc ) and i want to show this filters only on bicycle category pages and subcategories. This filters should not show up in the Clothes category page and subcategories, because for this category i have another set of custom fields (size, color, sex, sezon, etc) and fot this category i need only this set of fields for the filter. Is this plugin suitable for me, will it be able to perform the described tasks ?
Hi Lonelywalker,
Thank you for your interest in the Filter Everything plugin.
Yes, you can create multiple filter sets with the needed filters and place them on the needed categories.

Hi ruslanyh,
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
Try to change the WP_Query inside the filter set setting in the “And what to filter?” dropdown and hit update then check the workability.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Thank you! Now it works
Hi ruslanyh,
I’m glad that your problem was solved.
If it is possible I would be thankful for a positive review about the plugin here on CodeCanyon – https://codecanyon.net/item/filter-everything-wordpress-woocommerce-filter/reviews/31634508
Thank you in advance!
I have sent across wordpress login credentials for you to look to see why the filter is not pulling through the results.
many thanks alan
Hi Alan,
The answer with the screenshot was provided via email. Now everything is working correctly.

Hi! I want to create a step by step filter with my custom post type taxonomy displayed on a single page. I have several first level categories and want to display only a specific category with its children shown in the step by step drop downs. Output should be shown in a grid using a elementor loop template, eg dynamic posts from dynamico. Could this be somehow realized? Thanks.
Hi techdudes23,
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
Unfortunately, you cannot do it with the current functionality that comes out of the box. You can write something close to it using custom coding, but it will require significant skills in PHP and WordPress itself alongside with JS skills.
Maybe with future updates, there will be such functionality out of the box, but at the current time, it is not here yet.
What you can do is just create ACF custom fields, and create a step-by-step filter using different meta keys for each step like meta_key_1/meta_key_2/Meta_key_3 that is the only way around without writing custom code.

Hello! A query. I use RankMath for the sitemap, and it generates the links to my posts, pages, one CTP and one Custom Taxonomy. Everything works fine for me except when I click on the custom taxonomy sitemap link which takes me to a 404 page:
Not found, error 404
It’s a bit strange, because when I deactivate your plugin, the taxonomy sitemap already shows fine.
Does anyone know what can happen?
Hi bcnmoda,
This looks like a conflict between the URL prefix and some taxonomy term or name. If they match, then this is the reason why these links stop working.
To fix this, it will require changing the suspicious URL prefixes that are already used on the site. Try to rename them from the Filters -> Settings -> URL Prefixes on the unique one and hit save.
Best Regards,
- Victor
It is not with a term of the taxonomy, but with the name of the taxonomy…
Now I have changed the slug that is automatically generated by your plugin (Filters -> Settings -> URL Prefixes), so that the slug is different from the name of the taxonomy… But I don’t understand it, because it should be able to work, right? Or does everyone have to modify the slug to be different from the taxonomy name?
During the creation of a filter, you write the URL prefix. If the prefix is the same as for example, the category slug, in the end, you’ll face a conflict issue, because there will be confusion about who should process the request the Woo/WP/FE or any other plugin, and as a result, you’ll get 404 page.

Hi, I just purchased the pro plugin but when trying to activate I get “Unknown error.” Can you assist me on this?
Hi yannickverstichel,
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
It seems that your server does not allow connection with our license server. We can activate it on our side, but we need the following things from you:
1. Credentials to your /wp-admin following this document
2. And your license key.
Please, send all these via PM.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Hi, thank you for fast reply. I sended all requested info and credentials in PM.
Additionally, I created a test filter set to familiarize myself with how it works, but it doesn’t seem to be appearing on the page I configured in the setup. Could you help me get it working? The filter set is named “Test Filter Set.” I attempted to filter both Posts and Pages, but when I selected Post, I encountered this message in the ‘What to Filter’ setting: “No WP Queries matched the post type ‘Bericht’ found on the page. Thanks!
Hi yannickverstichel,
We have activated the license, and we placed the shortcode on the page to display the filter widget. The thing on the page where you specified in the filter set setting is just empty, it should contain posts/products displayed by WP_Query so the plugin would filter them.
Best Regards,
- Victor
So great, thanks for the good service. I will work on that in upcoming weeks. Keep up the great work!
Hello everyone,
I wanted to follow up on my previous question. Upon rechecking, I found that I do have a list of posts/products in the category filter setting. It appears that the filter set setting is empty, but there should actually be something in it. This is likely why I couldn’t see it initially. Could you please provide further assistance on how to resolve this issue?
Thank you!
Not sure what you are referring to. Credentials are already inactive so we cannot check it anymore. The thing is that the filter will show empty terms if you don’t choose to hide them. If you place that filter set on the empty page it will only show empty filter terms, If you place that filter on the page with posts or products and choose the correct WP_Query that displays those posts you will have the ability to filter them.
Can you renew the credentials for us with the links to the page where you have posts, and the filter is not working there? So we could try to figure it out at the place. Because right now we have very limited information to work with.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Dear Victor,
I would like to express my appreciation for the excellent service provided by you and your team. First and foremost, thank you for your assistance. I understand that I need to load an archive page or WordPress block in order to enable filtering on the page. I have noticed that when I attempt to do this, I am indeed able to select from various queries for filtering. However, when I try to use the filter, I encounter a page displaying the message “Die pagina kan niet worden gevonden” (This page cannot be found). It is likely that I am making an error in the process.
In the meantime, I have already generated new credentials and forwarded them to you for your reference.
Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Yannick
Hi yannickverstichel,
The issue is hiding in the plugin “Permalink Manager Lite” as our plugin has its own permalink, which is why it is not working correctly, and they will not work together.
However, in your finctions.php file, we have added this code:
define( 'FLRT_PERMALINKS_ENABLED', false );
This code turns off our plugin permalinks, and you see in the URL just a GET parameter. But everything is working now.
Best Regards,
Hi Team,
Thanks for solving this issue for me. It seems to work good for now.
Have a nice day.
Best Regards,
Yannick Verstichel
Greetings,
I’m utilising the FilterEverything Pro plugin, which provides sorting and filtering by category features. I’ve set up a custom post type and designed an Elementor page with a Loop Grid to display these posts, complete with pagination. However, when I apply sorting and filtering options, the pagination functions properly with numbered pages, but the sorting and filtering settings are reset when I navigate using the previous or next buttons.
Hi ericmarcuson,
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
Well, you can either hide the next and prev buttons or update its functionality to make it take into account the current URL, instead of resetting it. So if you are on mysute.com/shop/color-red/brend-apple/ it should take it fact this URL and add the page to it.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Thank you Victor, I understand that it should be working that way. Shouldn’t the plugin manage pagination? Do you have any suggestions on how we can get this to work?
No, the plugin is not responsible for the pagination and how it was implemented. But if you are using Elementor, you can ask their support on how to make the pagination work correctly, because the numeration is working correctly but the next previous is not working as intended. Perhaps they can provide a solution to this matter.

- Victor
I need to create a filter positioned on the top of a table or content list. Please suggest, how can I create a filter positioned on the top of a table or content list.
Hi eugenemes21,
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
You can place the shortcode in the needed container or place a widget area there. About shortcodes, you can read here – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/shortcodes/
Best Regards,
- Victor
I used following shortcode [fe_chips] to show filter but nothing showing. To illustrate the idea more clearly, I have attached a screenshot that demonstrates the feature I have in mind. Please find the attached screenshot for the same. https://ibb.co/Jdkk9Fp
As shown in the screenshot, I would like to request the ability to create a filter positioned on the top of a table or content list, similar to what is seen on the website
Hi eugenemes21,
The shortcode to display the filter widget is [fe_widget], In order to create such a filter as on the screenshot you need to choose labels and apply custom CSS to create such style as you want.
Please note, that we do not provide custom features/styling following the support policy here on CodeCanyon.

Hello! Thank you for your plugin. We have strange reaction on catalog page. When choose any filter on that page, images don’t shown at all. If update the page images would show again. And its same all the time we using filter. No images – update – images are back.
How is it possible and what we should do?
Hi copastorekz,
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
It is a pretty common thing when you are using AJAX, Please read this documentation page – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/ajax-related-problems/ to understand why it is working like that and how you can fix it.

hi, i have a number of pages I’ve set up with filters. Everything is working great, however the order of the attributes are all over the place. For example I have plants in various pot sizes… and instead of being 10cm, 11cm, 12cm, 13cm etc… It’s random like 14cm, 11cm, 10cm, 12cm etc.
It’s only on the filter sets it’s random, within the product page (woocommerce) it’s correct and n the order I’ve set it.
How can I make sure it’s the same with your plugin and how it displays on the live filter sets?
Hi brael,
You can choose the needed sorting order from a filter set settings for a needed filter – https://prnt.sc/PKONKI3P1P1Q
In general, there is no support for accounts whose support period has expired following the support policy
But we can help you later after all requests from accounts with valid support periods are processed. It may take some time – days or weeks.
If you want to get it faster, please extend your support period and this request will be processed in the first queue for supported accounts.

Hi i buy your plugin but i have problems with the configuration, the page is https://rolstore.com.co/ i have five categories and create five filters set and put the category but when i use the plugin doesn’t work, i try everything i read in the documentation but can’t resolve :/ i hope you can help me.
Hi Feliperaja97,
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
First of all, we would recommend turning off AJAX or using the correct class for the container – https://prnt.sc/VLvuZ0it7Aq5 in the filter set settings.
Second, please check if you chose the correct WP_Query from the “And what to filter?” dropdown in the filter set settings. You can select different ones hit update and look if everything is working correctly.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Hello, i put the correct id and try but doesn´t work
idk if i mdo something wrong https://drive.google.com/file/d/1d6Ynd5e3HS2aUh3uoK8qQcXeOK7XrKez/view?usp=sharing
Hi Feliperaja97,
Can you please send the credentials to the wp-admin dashboard following this document so we can check it?
Best Regards,
- Victor
Hi i make a manually backup and send you the access
Hi Feliperaja97,
We have checked the site and you have some URL prefix issues, You should not use the same URL prefixes as attribute or categories slugs, they all should be unique. In order to proceed and fix it all more likely that all of the filters will be lost. When you are ready for it, let us know so we can start fixing it.
Best Regards,

Hello, I have landing pages: “buy product in the city”, where the city is the selected filter value. I would like to generate links like: Buy a BRAND product in the current CITY (I want to list all brands available for a given city). For correct generation, it is important for me to know which city is selected using the filter. Is there some way to get the value of the selected filter by attribute pa_city?
Hi Igor_Shyshka,
You can use this function:
/** * @return array|false all selected filters or false */ flrt_selected_filter_terms();

Filter Not properly work on the Category page. Am adding a filter in custom fields. It’s not showing properly.
https://seocourseinchennai.online/category/gas-detection-2/calibrators-gas-detection-2/ This is one of the sample category page. Here am adding 2 custom field filters brand and industry. It shows brand only Also in brand value it’s shows only one value.Can we connect to Google Meet? We need to sort this out ASAP.
Hi suchi5,
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
Unfortunately, we are not using Google Meet to provide support. If you choose in the filter set set hide filter and hide empty terms If on the page there are no posts with those filter terms it will simply hide it all. Please check those settings in your filter set settings – https://prnt.sc/-F9FH4-HfIxm
Also, make sure you are using the correct WP_Query in the “And what to filter?” dropdown inside the filter set settings.
And what exactly do you need to filter on the presented category page? There are no visible posts to be filtered.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Hello, the popup filter is displayed on all pages on mobile. How can display only on shop pages? Thank you
https://dev.nordcaravan.it/Hi Funkwarrior,
You need to turn on this option in the Filters -> Settings -> Experimental – https://prnt.sc/iX-Lgz-5RiDl and use the shortcode [fe_open_button] for the filter button on the needed pages. More about shortcodes can be read here – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/shortcodes/
Best Regards,

Thank you Victor, sorry I must have read docs carefully before asking support! Have a nice day!
Hi,
Loving the plugin but just wondering how I am able to customise the font style, size and colour on the search ?
Thanks
Hi alanbrysoncom,
Can you please specify which search you are talking about? The one that is used to search terms or to search posts?
Best Regards,
- Victor
I have created a custom post type and added the filter everything to the sidebar widget. I am looking to style that so that I can change font type and colour but cant see any options for this. Hope that makes sense.
thanls alan
You can use brwoser tools and inspect the needed elemnt and change their styles. For example like the filter title – https://prnt.sc/7HQMBZjIqciE and we add the needed CSS in the Filters -> Settings -> Experimental -> Custom CSS:
.wpc-filter-title {
color: red;
font-size: 40px;
}
Best Regards,
- Victor
many thanks I will give this a try
Hi, love your plugin its much faster then another one which we had previously. I have only one problem, I have a field at category shoes (Schuhgröße US -> shoe size) if you select on value it will not be filtered, other ones work. Could you please help me with this? Thanks
Hi deepcoding,
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
Please send the link to the page with the issue so we can check it.

I am seeing an Uncaught Type error on pages with the filter in the sidebar. It rapidly counts up as you scroll up and down the page. Can you help me eliminate it please.
Hi partnersrrc,
Can you please send the link to the page with the issue so we can check it?
Best Regards,

Hi. Sure – https://petsware.co.uk/dog-products/ – any page with the left sidebar
Can you please send the credentials to the wp-admin dashboard following this document so we can check it?
Best Regards,
- Victor
Done
Hi partnersrrc,
Thank you for the credentials. The issue you are facing is not connected to our plugin at all. We have deactivated the plugin and those errors still appearing, They are related to this code:
const screen_size = window.innerWidth;
if (screen_size < 900) {
var filter_close = document.createElement("img");
filter_close.src = "http://petsware.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/x-mark-24.png";
const appendChildren = document.querySelector('.inside-left-sidebar #block-14');
appendChildren.appendChild(filter_close);
const mob_fil = document.querySelector('.cstm_mob_filter');
mob_fil.onclick = function() {
document.querySelector('.is-left-sidebar').classList.add("cstm_filter_active");
}
const trigger_filter_close = document.querySelector('.inside-left-sidebar #block-14 img');
trigger_filter_close.onclick = function() {
document.querySelector('.is-left-sidebar').classList.remove("cstm_filter_active");
}
}
More likely this is some type of custom code, that cannot find some element by its class/tag.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Do you have documentation for how to implement this on a fully custom page? I added the shortcode via PHP on my page and it’s showing the filter set in the sidebar but it shows zero items in each category. The rest of the page is showing all the custom posts. Thanks!
Hi csavinell1,
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
We would recommend the quick start guide – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/quickstart/ Also, please make sure you choose the correct WP_Query from the “And what to filter?” dropdown in the filter set settings.
Best Regards,
- Victor
