1) We have microsoft translation service built in so the free tier should work normally too.
2) The auto translation will not take care about SEO. You better let a native SEO speaker double check all bot translated content.
3) Yes you can bulk trigger automatic translations. We support Google, DeepL and Microsoft.
4) Yes you always have the possibility to manually edit automatic translations and you should do this. Automatic translations are saved in your WP database so you only pay once. We have an option built in to assign translator user roles to posts. This way you can let native people double check bot translations.
5) Yes our plugin adds correct hreflang tags to your website head.
6) On your main or root site you can set an automatic redirect base don users browser language or country. Furthermore you can enable an IP redirect, but this may not be GDPR compliant.

Please guide through how you connect posts properly. Connected Posts option doesn’t save after updating the page, the field goes blank again. Therefore on frontend, for example url.com/de/kontakt it doesn’t switch to url.com/en/contact-us using the header menu language switch selector.
How to link properly? When I type in it recognizes the posts of the other language site and I get to select correct page, but what are the reasons why it doesn’t save?

this plugin is absolutely unusable for me. It has no automatic translation. There is no free translation. All services require API / money. I’m disappointed it’s a waste of time money.
Oh sorry to hear that. You can use the DeepL free api for translation. For automatic translation you can then translate posts automatically, either per post or in bulk.

Because it is less popular, I wonder if everything could be translated properly ? The theme is named “Celeste – Life Coach & Therapist” et Bold Page Builder plugin is available for free in the wordpress plugins repository.

Unfortunately we did not test the bold page builder, but we are 100% sure manual translations will work without problems. Automatic should also not be a problem, but we did not tested it. If it should not work, please contact us or you can get your money back.

Your plugin works for manual translation as expected, but not for automatic translation via DeepL like you said. Only the title and SEO was translated btw.
But because this builder works with shortcode in the wp_content itself, isn’t it possible to tell to your translation plugin to translate eveything found in get_the_content() outside shortcode brackets (=> outside this [whatever] and this [/*]) ?
Btw, a new checkbox or something should allow the user to activate or not this special feature for the builder.

Normally we already support shortcodes and will not modify them. Did you enable “segment data” in our plugin settings > machine translations?

Just to let you know that Bold Page Builder is compatible with automatic translations. Not 100%, because several blocks have text in shortcode parameters, but for 70% of them it’s OK.

Yes of course arabic is supported and you can change all translations after a machine translation was done manually.

The plugin is working as intended no problem.
I contact you because I’d like to know if there is a way to modify or change the dropdown menu when on mobile as it is quiet difficult (not really user friendly). You need to press and hold to get the other languages.

Let me 2 questions (sorry for my poor english):
1. Title and content are translated, but tags aren’t translated automatically, although in the “Tags – Also sync tags?” checkbox is checked. So, how to translate tags also? Tags aren’t also translated via “Machine Translation” on post editor sidebar.
2. I see that URLs are translated from the original URLs. But in some languages as “Hungarian” the URLs aren’t copies of titles. “Fésű, Lámpa, Barát” (title)—> “fesu-lampa-barat” (URL), and Deepl can’t translate this correctly. So, how to get correct URLs? I think the correct method would be: 1. translate title 2. generate URL from the translated title. Not just to translate the original URL. Thanks

I’ve tried a bunch of translator plugin but they always impact my GTMETRIX score very badly because i think the auto translate feature based on visitor browser language is not optimized.
Is this plugin able to auto trasnlate and is the GTMETRIX score impacted when the plugin is active compared to disabled ?
The site speed should not be impacted. We do not translate in real time and translations are output from your database. Of course when you have a caching plugin it will be even faster.
This plugin drives me crazy! Maybe it is good, but too much things to do without clear explanations. I wanted to duplicate main website because I don’t want to recreate all the visual settings. No, I’m sorry but I had so many issues yesterday on the main site that I had to reverse the process and lose 2 days of work going back to my previous site version. The menus items were multiplied by 4, and finally all the pages beside the home page were serving a 404 error. All the urls were modified in the database. A real nightmare! I can’t say that all is because of the plugin, but I don’t want to ruin my business to go on multisite. If you accept it, I’d want a refund. If not, anyway, I won’t try again this nightmare…

Hi, was bedeutet “mutterschaf” als Beispiel oder “in der Ferne” wenn ich bei Maschinenübersetzung auf der Artikelseite die Zielsprache auswähle ? Da sind auch noch viele andere unlogische Wörter dabei.
Auch kann Deepl nicht alle Sprachen Übersetzen die aufgelistet werden, wie z.b.Kikuyu oder andere, aber werden dennoch angezeigt.

The file name itself can and should not be translated or changed. Otherwise the image breaks.
Hi, ich will ein Projekt mit Fokus auf Bildern legen in allen Deepl Sprachen. Wie kann ich das am besten lösen mit eurem Tool. Könntet ihr dafür nicht ein Update bauen, dass es keine globale Mediendatenbank gibt ? Erst einmal wäre es gut, wenn ihr das als Option anbietet, dass die Bilder auch dupliziert werden, wenn man möchte. Dann könnte ich Sie mit Media File Renamer auch übersetzen. Ich möchte primäre google images als Traffic source verwenden.
Inwieweit könnte ihr das den mit dem Multisite Synchronisierung plugin realisieren. Es gibt ja ganz einfache Media renamer, man nimmt den Dateinamen übersetzt ihn mit deepl und fügt den übersetzten Text noch in das Alt Attribute ein. Dann muss man noch die Post Verknüpfungen aktualisieren, was zu Problemen führen kann. Mit genug Hinweisen & Backups, dass dies zu vielen Problemen führen kann und dem setzen eines Checkmarks sollte das aber alles gut möglich sein.
Man könnte einen automatischen Scheduler erstellen, der pro Minute xx Beiträge übersetzt, renamed & anpasst.
Zeitgleich könntet ihr das auch mit so einer Kombination verbinden: https://imageseo.io/ , dass dann noch automatisch die Bilder optimiert.
Das wäre das beste Plugin überhaupt!

I have received an email from Envato that there is an update of this plugin last March 31, 2023. But, when I download the installable wordpress file and tried to upload it to my website, the version is still the same V.1.2.9.
There is also a notification on WordPress saying “A new version of the WordPress Multilingual Multisite plugin is available”. How can I update to the newer version?

Yes, I did. It only says there’s a new version. It doesn’t update automatically. But, it’s ok now, I updated it manually.
