First of all, the password reset tool is working just fine. I just tested it, and I received an email with further instructions to continue the process. I did have to check my Spam folder to find it, but the message was there.

So, are you checking your Spam folder for messages? I’ve told you multiple times already to check your Spam/Junk folder for any missing email messages.

That said, I was able to manually reset your password from my end (not without some difficulty, I might add). Since I think you are receiving other emails (NOT sent from the password reset tool), I will also manually send you a separate email with your new password + instructions to login and change your password.

Once you’ve regained access to your account, then you can check your open ticket, and we can continue any further dialogue there.

Finally, it goes without saying: Please, store your passwords in a safe place. Use a password manager. There’s no good reason to be losing passwords in this day and age, given the tools available to you.

By default, none of our products save MP3 file data (including MP3 file paths) to long-term, persistent storage (like a MySQL database). However, with a little coding prowess, you could customize all of our products to behave in this way – by updating a MySQL database after each unique download/conversion.

The only notable files that changed are “lib/Config.php”, “lib/VideoConverter.php”, “lib/extractors/Extractor.php”, and “inc/check_config.php”. So, your frontend template/design should be fine.

Moreover, if you’re using the YouTube module, then you’ll also need to download the newest module version as well so that YouTube downloads remain functional in the new MP3 Converter version. (This applies to only the YouTube module! Other modules will continue to work as they are.) In this case, where/how you download the updated YouTube module will depend on how you originally obtained it. Which product ( see https://shop.rajwebconsulting.com for “all” available products ) are you referring to? I assume you’re referring to the YouTube Media Converter ( https://demo.converter-script.com ), since this is the only product that generates MKV video files?

If so, for “Video Streams” (or merged video- and audio-only tracks) only, this particular product does provide MKV instead of MP4. In general, this product does not download any available video/audio formats directly to your server (except when MP3 caching is enabled!) – to ensure browser downloads begin as quickly as possible. To ensure this happens for Video Streams as well, and since Video Streams require more manipulation than other video downloads (to merge the separate video- and audio-only tracks prior to browser download), MKV must be used. In this case, if we were to use an MP4 container instead, then 1) the merged video would have to be downloaded to your server first before the browser download could begin—ultimately decreasing the speed in which the browser download prompt is delivered; and 2) the longer a video is, the slower it would take for the browser download to commence. Again, since the download mechanism of the YouTube Media Converter primarily focuses on delivering browser downloads as quickly as possible, MKV is the best solution. And while we understand some reluctance to offer and use MKV instead of the more familiar MP4, the reality is that MKV works just as well as MP4 on the overwhelming majority of modern media players.

That said, and even so, if you must have MP4 always, then you should consider the YouTube Video Backend + MP3 Converter Pro products ( https://demo.apiyoutu.be ) instead. For this combination of products, while all video/audio is downloaded directly to the server first, a download queuing system is employed to speed up downloads on the backend (as opposed to focusing on when frontend browser download begins). The net result is that you get MP4 video downloads at an overall speed that is comparable to (and, at heavy loads + higher traffic, even faster than) the YouTube Media Converter.

Continued development of Windows support became too impractical to maintain following some relatively recent YouTube changes. What’s more, the overwhelming majority of our customers were already running Linux, anyway. So, you’ll have to run your product on a Linux server now. Unfortunately, we don’t have any future plans to support Windows again. But, one never knows for sure what the future holds!

In general, I recommend running the software on at least an inexpensive VPS that can accommodate the software requirements ( https://demo.mp3youtu.be/docs/#server-reqs ). We host much of our business infrastructure on Hetzner servers, so I do recommend at least one of their Cloud hosting plans (for any purpose). In any case, you can easily update VPS/Cloud server resources as/when your website traffic increases.
