The filter did work once, and then stopped. It does an action, but does not filter the posts by category. It doesn’t matter what you filter, all the people still show up.
Also, I wanted to see the chips above the people, but I do not understand how to make that work. I would love the ajax to function.

Thank you for your credentials. I checked your site and ralized that you configured it wrong. You selected wrong WP_Query and that’s why filterind did not work. Also you set to use logic AND but selected radiobuttons view, that does not allow to select more than one term simultaneously. To use AND logic you have to use Checkboxes or Labels view. It seems something changed on your site. Please, check your Filter Set if it is correctly directed to your Homepage. It is setting in the “Where to filter?” field or if you use “Apply button” mode you have to check also the “Alternative location” option. Also possible reason could be that you changed settings for your Homepage in WordPress.

When we tested your filter (free version), it was very slow on our woo store. I don’t thing that this is caused because of some problem with lot of plugins / bad code or theme. Other filter plugins works good …. and we have wp in very good condition.
Is paid version faster? I read that you are using caching, but when i tested it, it looks same when i used same filter more times.

I have to say that the Free version uses the same cache features that PRO uses so basically both versions should work with the same speed/performance.
In general plugin’s speed depends from the list of factors:
- server CPU
- server RAM
- number of posts to filter
- number of filters and terms
- number and quality of plugins you use
- cache adjustments on a server
- plugin’s code optimizations, internal cache (this was already done for the Filter Everything)
But I would be thankful for the link to your site, where you have too slow work of the Free version, maybe I can say you what exactly may be the reason of such problem. Optionally you can send it via PM and let me know here in this comments thread.

I checked your site and realized that you have not too many products on it, but you have a low Memory limit value on your server – 256 Mb only and it is too low for serving WordPress + WooCommerce + all your plugins and + filters. I recommend you to improve your server tariff plan or to try to find another more powerful hosting.

Hello, since I have the pro version, I have the site admin which is very slow, 6 to 10s for each click. When I deactivate your plugin it comes back to 2s the click. This is very annoying, imagine to add a product, 6s to open the add product page, 12s to add an image (6s to open the gallery, 6s to validate the choice of image) etc… Thank you for your help, in case there is no solution, I will ask for a refund. You have performance issue and I have to say you that filtering speed depends from next parameters:
- server CPU
- server RAM
- number of posts to filter
- number of filters and terms
- number and quality of plugins you use
- cache adjustments on a server
- plugin’s code optimizations, internal cache (this was already done for the Filter Everything)
So you can increase the speed of the filtering process or your site work in general if you optimize one of several parameters from the list above.

Hi. I’m using custom fields (ACF plugin) to import choices for filters. It seems like the filter choices are ordered based on which filter choice was last changed. Is there a way to custom order the field choices either through Filter Everything Pro or ACF?
I will attach a link to the page in a PM. Specifically, see the “Age” category. I would like the ages to go from youngest to oldest, but because a new filter was added for “5-12”, it was inserted last in the list.

If no one from the sorting options was good for you you can use hook ‘wpc_terms_before_display’ https://filtereverything.pro/resources/hooks/#terms-before-display-hook to sort them via code. Of course this expects that you are familiar with PHP or you have to ask a developer to help you with this.

I’m trying to do the WP Query from my Divi Theme Builder works but didn’t works. I spent time trying but nothing. First of all I would ask you to disable AJAX feature, becase you will never know what exactly works wrong – filtering or AJAX loading.
It is popular issue as usually possible reasons are next:
- Wrong WP_Query selected in the “And what to filter?” field of the Filter Set. Please try to experiment with different WP_Queries in the dropdown.
- Cache issue (WP_Query is cached). You have to check and maybe disable your cache plugins or modules in your hosting provider dashboard.
- AJAX enabled but wrong value for CSS id or class of the Posts Container specified. Please, disable the AJAX feature, until you will ensure that filtering works in general.

I disabled the AJAX feature and it’s the same results. I tried all options about the selectable wp_queries, but I think the right option is the third one called “Search Post, post query #3”. If I change any option in this list (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cwQRalnN0Ifc69glSE0HCcRuwwk7xoBC/) the same result is in the filters.
This site doesn’t have a plugin or server cache, I included in the wp-config define (‘WP_CACHE’, false); too.
Could you please access the panel to see if I forgot something about it? This site is in the homologation, I can create an user for you.

Hi, I’m trying to add a filter on my home page (Voice Theme), but can’t seem to get it to function. It works fine on a separate page, but I want to incorporate it into the home page, so I’m not sure if I have to have custom css to add a module, but right now all I have is the filter on the sidebar, but it triggers nothing.
I’ve tried customizing the home page with the functioning posts page.
I’ve also tried placing custom css into a post module, but that didn’t seem to work either. If anyone can help me get this onto my home page, without deleting everything else there, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

As I understand you want to add filter on your Homepage and after a visitor selected filters and clicked on the “Apply” button he should be redirected to the page with filtered results.
In this case you have to direct your Filter Set to this page with filtered posts/products and ensure that it works as expected. After you have to enable “Apply button” mode in the Filter Set and select your Homepage in the “Alternative location” option. Also you have to insert Filters widget on your Homepage. Optionally you can insert it as shortcode [fe_widget]

Hi Stepasyuk, thank you for your response. I’m not wanting the home page to redirect to another page. I’m actually looking for the filter to work within the home page format so the filter would update live on the page while maintaining the framework/look of the home page. If it helps, the home page is https://staging2.stumingames.com/ – you can see the filtered search (https://staging2.stumingames.com/filtered-search-placeholder/) is set up on another page, which is similar to how I’d like it to look within the home page framework.
Basically, I’d like the following:
Social Header Logo w/Ad space Menu Slider Filtered Search with adjustable items showing & load more button Additional Modules as currently shown Ad space Footer

If you need to show both – filters and filtered results on your Homepage it is even simpler to imlement. Just direct Filter Set on your Homepage in the “Where to filter?” field and place there Filters widget or filters shortcode [fe_widget]
How do you turn off the filter result – ”# items found”? I can hide the wpc-posts-found class but I am not seeing an option for this in settings? Thanks!

I have a couple questions about the plugin. I would like to filter by: Type/model Material Cost Brand
But only type/model works. It shows all my models. Cost works also.
If I filter at material it shows only 1 tag. I can’t filter for product cat because it is grey/disabled.
I saw in your demo also a grey divider under Title and above products. A small grey divider. I don’t see this. Is this a setting or css cause i saw in every YouTube video also that grey divider.
Could you help me with setting up the filters on my products? How do apply them to my products and how do i get that grey divider cause right now there is a big padding between my title and products in the filter.
I can give you acces to my panel so you can add them and i can change them into Dutch. I think that is faster

If you want to use Filters widget on singular page, you have to direct Filter Set exactly on this page. It means “Pages” -> “Your page name”. Please, set this value in your Filter Set.
Common WordPress pages are Blog page, Homepage, Shop page, Search results page, but not singular.

In general it is not the plugin-related quesiton, but I can say you that you can style only dropdowns that use Select2 jQuery plugin. You can enable this option in Filters -> Settings -> Experimental -> Improved dropdowns
Regular select tag and option tag inside it do not allow you to insert there any other HTML in accordance with their specification.

When Where to filter? settings is on common wp pages + all archive it works well. But when I want to activate only on category, then Selection is not as good. If you choose BMW, you get mercedes, bmw, etc. models No matter what brand you choose. If you go back to first settings “settings is on common wp pages + all archive” it works again…

It looks like you have also to select correct WP_Query in the “And what to filter?” field when you choose the Category page for the Filter Set. Please, try to experiment with different WP_Queries for that page.
