What do you mean?
No, firebase alone is not used in weshare to hold data. Firebase is utilised for Authentication and Chatting related functionalities only. Rest of the data, like customer’s informations, post’s information, notification’s information, following/follower’s information is all stored and managed in MySql database.
Is it possible to build iOS and Web apps later based on your backend?
Yes, it’s easily possible as we are using rest APIs, and those are independent of the platform
