Hello!
We updated to the last version yesterday, we got an error on category page.
Warning: Undefined array key “cols_count” in /home3/r72315empe/epic keys.ro/wp-content/plugins/filter-everything-pro/src/Admin/Widgets/FiltersWidget.php on line 39
We had no issues in the previous versions.
Any rapid fix please ?
Guys, do we have any update on this ? We can’t even update to the last plugin version because of this: An error occurred while updating Filter Everything PRO: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature
Hello JohnnyQ
Thank you for your report. I already fixed these issues and now it works as expected. Please, update it and do not forget to create a DB backup before that. Sorry for the inconvenient.
Thank you.
When we update to the latest version we get this error -> An error occurred while updating Filter Everything PRO: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature. We also tried to uninstall the 1.7.4 and freshly install 1.7.5, but all our settings dissapear, we had to revert back to 1.7.4, any solution to this ?
later edit: We tried 2 minutes ago, again and we get this error now -> An error occurred while updating Filter Everything PRO: Update package not available.
Hello JohnnyQ
It alredy should work as expected (I tested it myself and several customers confirmed that it works). But maybe your server has no connection with “connect.filtereverything.pro” host and this is the reason. I recommend you to try it again and if it does not work you optionally can ask you hosting provider support to check connection with the plugin host or you can just download zip with the latest verison from this page https://codecanyon.net/downloads and update it via /wp-admin -> Plugins -> Add New -> Override existing …
Please, let me know about the result.
Thank you.
Hello Stepasyuk,
We don’t have any restrictions on our server, we update plugins on a regular basis, most of them being premium and bought from sites like this one.
I’ve tried for the last week to update it on a daily bases, get the same error, stated above.
We also removed the plugin, downloaded the last version from here and installed it, but we lost everything settings wise, we had to revert to get everything back.
You suggesting that i install the last version (zip) with the current version being Active ? Is that even possible ?
Hello JohnnyQ
Yes, sure. You can upload ZIP with the latest version of the plugin via /wp-admin -> Plugins -> Add New and WordPress will offer you to override current version the uploaded. All plugin setttings will remain, but in any case I always recommend you to creaete DB backup before such manipulations.
You know that you may not add any restrictions on your server, but for example your hosting provider or internet provider may contain such restrictions and some servers in the Internet may be temporary unavailable for you. In any case the issue “PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10)” for the moment is solved.
Filter Everything like any other well-coded plugin erases all its filters and settings if you delete it from /wp-admin panel, but you always be cautioned in the pop-up message about that. So please read carefully such messages.
Thank you. Regards.
Hello I am using your wonderful plugin to filter my custom post type items. My concern is when I show the filtering plugin on my specific WP page (not an archive page). I can’t seem to see any WP_Queries from my cloud_demo Custom post types. but when I choose. Common Wordpress Pages it shows the cloud_demo WP queries. I would want to show the filtering function in a page I have. Ex. Demo Page
Hello theiconicexpres
Thank you for using the plugin.
Usually it may happens when selected page does not contain “cloud_demo” posts list. In this case you have to display these posts the page first.
If you already displayed them the reason may be also in cache that “saved” your WP_Query and that’s why it can not be caTched by Filter Everything PRO. It depends from the way how you displayed these posts on the page. For example if you use Gutenberg block for that it may require to change block type to the one that uses WP_Query.
Also you can send me credentials to your /wp-admin in accordance with this document I will check it myself.
Thank you.
Hello,
When I load the filter everything plugin, once I drag the range filter, the page will refresh automatically.
Even other jquery range filter written by myself will also refresh the page automatically.
if i disactive the filter everything plugin, I can drag my slider freely, and the page does not refresh automatically.
Is there any way to disable auto refresh?
i have solved.
Hello weboostdev
I’m glad that your issue is already solved. Thank you for your notification about that.
hi, how can i remove the word “select” from the filters? https://mobiledirect.dokablage.de/iphone-14-pro-cases-huellen/
Stepasyuk – do you have an answer for me?
Hi dwinger
Sure. You have several ways to change the string - Select %s - to your own:
1) To translate it with the Loco translate plugin or other software if you use not-English language on your site.
2) To use template overriding feature https://filtereverything.pro/resources/templates-overriding/ to override the dropdown.php template and replace the string.
3) To use hook ‘wpc_dropdown_default_option‘ if you are familiar with PHP development.
FYI – support answer delay here is up to 2 business days.
After update to 1.7.4 there is a warning Undefined array key “cols_count” ... filter-everything-pro\src\Admin\Widgets\FiltersWidget.php on line 39
In addition I can’t uninstall this version from admin dashboard.
Hello pracujlepiej
I’m sorry for the bug. Please, update the plugin to the latest version 1.7.5 where it is already fixed.
How do I make the same filter set work for both Category Product and Brand? Here if you click a brand (i.e Sungrow) it does not prompt anything, instead if you select inverters and then “Marca” (brand, which has another glitch, by the way, as it only display one brand) it will display the brands, and not even the correct one, as you will see it displays other brands.
https://impiantofotovoltaico.shop/product-brand/sungrow/It looked so promising this plugin and has potential, however it’s really full of bugs, even when saving filters you have to do it one by one otherwise it prompts an error
Hope to fix the necessary at least
Sorry, I noticed you’re from Ukraine, don’t bother, I am going to duplicate the filters manually, please disregard it and stay strong! We support you!
Hello fringuello85
Thank you for your question.
In general if you want to use the same Filter Set on your Product Category pages and on your Brand archive pages you have to direct the Filter Set to “Common WordPress pages” -> “All archive pages for selected post type”.
But if you created Filter Set for your Category pages it expects that you have specific for this type of pages WP_Query and it is different from WP_Queries on other pages. Different WP_Queries have to use different filtering algoritm for filtering and that’s why you can not use the same Filter Set for simulteneously for both – Product Category and Brand pages. So it is technical moment.
About displaying and not displaying Brands on different pages. It is not a glitch but expected behaviour. Filtering is process of narrowing of products that you see on the page before filtering. In other words you can not add new products, but only narrow products list by selected criteria. So if you open a Brand page you will see products related with this Brand only. And that’s why you can not select another Brand because there are no products from other Brands on the page. You can set “Empty Terms -> Never hide” in your FIlter Set and you will see other Brands in the filter. But all them will contain 0 products because the page does not contain products from other Brands.
— Thank you for your positive review and many thanks for Italy about the support for Ukraine. It’s very important for us.
Hi I have purchased the Pro version of the plugin, but it doesn’t work on my site.
My site is built with Divi and I have used the Page Builder.
Of of the page on my site which have the filter is: http://rrsolutions.storenza.com/product-category/shelter-system/Appreciate if you could help me solve this issue.
Regards Amir
Hello amirakhbari
Thank you for using Filter Everything PRO.
Possible reasons are:
- Wrong WP_Query selected in the “And what to filter?” field of the Filter Set. Please try to experiment with different WP_Queries in the dropdown.
- Cache issue (WP_Query is cached). You have to check and maybe disable your cache plugins or modules in your hosting provider dashboard.
Hello, We have a problem with your plugin: I use a woocommerce product-list object in Oxygen Builder and a ‘filter everything’ price filter. But in a product category page, that price filter does not filter products. (In the search page this combination is working fine)
Do you know how I can solve this problem? A link: https://staging2.playtoday.nl/product-categorie/art/
Kind regards Edzerd Boersma
Sorry, my fault; It is solved; I had to fill in the field ‘CSS id or class of the Posts Container’ with an id. Thanks for the plugin! Kind regards E Boersma.
Hello Edzerd Boersma
Thank you for purchasing the plugin and for your notification that the problem is already solved
If you will have any questions, please let me know.
Hello, I am using jetengine and query builder, table builder. If buy this plugin is it compatible? do you have customer who use table builder via sql query
Hello nihatipekci
If query builder uses WP_Query it will be compatible. With SQL queries it will not be compatbile as filtering logic is based on WP_Query.
Please, write me message in PM and I will send you copy for testing with these plugins. And don’t forget to notify me here that you sent message in PM.
Thank you.
I have a Custom Post Type which is displayed inside a Template Page Custom. ( no archive page )
When I create an SEO RULE I would need to insert the page_title (the_title) among the variables.
I see you can only use {archive_title} but that’s not what I need.
Is it possible to use the {page_title} of the template among the variables?
Thank you
Hello EvoluzioneTelematica
Thank you for using Filter Everything PRO.
In general I did not planned to add such variable because usually people set SEO Rules for archive pages. But I will conslider this in the future plugin updates.
But also SEO Rule fields supports other WordPress shortcodes and if you have plugin or custom code that allows you to display page_title with shortcode, you can insert this shortcode in a SEO Rule field and it will be converted to Page title. I think you have only to find such plugin or custom code that provides such shortcode.
Hello again! A very important question: it is possible that the filter results appear on another page and not on the same page? To give an example of what I want to do, I have a page Home and there I have the filters and I want when someone choose the options and clicks Apply, the results/posts should appear on the search page or another page.
is that possible? Thank you very much!
Hello kiklab
Sure, it is possible. First try to setup Filter Set on your results page. For example on your main Shop page. Ensure that filtering works on it. And after try to enable feature “Apply button” mode and select Alternative Location for this Filter Set on your Homepage.
Hi, I’ve created a custom post type and created two taxonomies. Through Gutenbergs Post Grid these posts are shown, but I cannot get the filter working on the page. I’ve inserted the shortcode [fe_widget] on the page – and the filter options are showing, but when selecting a filter, the page seems to be updating, but no changes are made from the shown posts. How do I make the filter work with the Post Grid?
Wordpres 6.1.1, Newspaper theme from tagDiv (12.2)
Thanks!
Hello NielcoIT
Thank you for using Filter Everything PRO.
Possible reasons are:
- Wrong WP_Query selected in the “And what to filter?” field of the Filter Set. Please try to experiment with different WP_Queries in the dropdown.
- Cache issue (WP_Query is cached). You have to check and maybe disable your cache plugins or modules in your hosting provider dashboard.
- AJAX enabled but wrong value for CSS id or class of the Posts Container specified. Please, disable the AJAX feature, until you will ensure that filtering works in general.
Thanks! I was a missing CSS class.
Great.
I’m glad that your issue were solved

BUG after 1.7.4 update : with my filters colums I have now a error message type : Warning: Undefined array key “cols_count” in /.../wp-content/plugins/filter-everything-pro/src/Admin/Widgets/FiltersWidget.php on line 39
Hello yelo
Thank you for your report. Please, re-save your Filters widget and this notice will disappear. Or even better update the plugin to the latest version 1.7.5 where this bug is already fixed.
Thank you.
Hi, there is one more question,
when “Collapse widget and show the Filters opening button” option is enabled module will generate a button with an icon “Filters” string on mobile devices
I am able to translate this via WPML and it works fine but after AJAX reload it is changed by JS I assume to “Filters (6)” string so the translation is lost.
Can we keep translation for this string even after applying the filters? Thanks
Hi pwolak999777
Sure, you can. But I recommend you ot translate phrases “Filters” and “Filters %s” with Loco translate plugin. After all you can deactivate this plugin and your translations will continue to work.
Loco did the thing, thanks!
Hey Stepasyuk. First of all: thanks for your product. Im working with the new Page Builder “Breakdance”. I’ve seen the PRO VS. FREE comparison when i installed Filter Everything and one aspect was “supports every Page Builder”.
So i thought ill give it a run. I purchased the PRO version, installed it and then created a simple filter, that should filter through posts by categories. I’ve chosen a specific page and from the option “And what to filter?” there was an option “Post Query”. So far so good.
How do i show the filters? I dont want them to be in a sidebar or something, i just want to have them before the query lets say.
Thanks and Best!
Hello mirkocavar
Thank you for purchasing the plugin.
You can display filters in two ways:
1. To insert Filters widget called “Filter Everythig – Filters”
2. To insert shortcode [fe_widget]. Here https://filtereverything.pro/resources/shortcodes/ you can find more about shortcodes supported by the plugin.
I hope this will help you
Hey Stepasyuk, thanks for your quick reply! When i insert the shortcode it tells me “No one Filter Set is related with this page. You can configure it in the Filter Set -> “Where to filter?” field.” even tho i’ve set it up correctly in the filter setting.
Thanks and Best!
If this page is Homepage or Blog page, please try to select “Common WordPress pages” -> “Homepage” or “Blog page” instead of “Pages” -> “Page title”.
Hey thanks for your reply! Ok the filter is shown and it works! Thank you. One more question if its ok: i need the filter to not reload the page. So i assigned a class .filter-container in the filter setting and also clicked the “try to use AJAX” checkbox and also assigned the .filter-container class in the plugin settings.
Now the filter is not working and i also cant see the class .filter-container assigned in the filter div.
Can you help me out on that? Thanks and Best
EDIT: Nevermind i found the solution!
The class needs to be assigned to the query, not the filter div, as i’ve mistakenly thought. Thanks!
Hello mirkocavar
Thank you for your notice that the issue is already solved

Thank you in advance!
Does this work with the default block editor? Thanks.
Hello wpmantis
Thank you for your interest in Filter Everything PRO.
You can insert Filter Everything shortcodes in blocks and display Filters widget, Chips widget and Sorting widget on the page created with block editor. But Filter Everything does not provide own Gutenberg blocks for the moment.
Also I tested it with WordPress blocks and they are supported partly. For example native block “Posts List” and “Products (beta)” from WooCommerce are supported. Please, see example – https://prnt.sc/N19cOv6vSpx6
But blocks from WooCommerce section like “All products”, “Products by attribute”, “Newest products” – please see here – https://prnt.sc/K2qtKUnC403N are not supported by Filter Everything because they do not use WP_Query, but AJAX and REST API to load items.
In general WP_Query based blocks are supported, REST API block are not. You can detect if the block uses REST API by characteristic placeholders at loading moment. Please, see example – https://prnt.sc/4dRNZaZtazll
Hello, I have imported custom attributes with the format “Attribute 2 name Attribute 2 value(s)” and they are correctly displaying in the “additional info” tab , however, I can’t manage to make them appear in the filter.
Any tip?
Hello fringuello85
It looks like filter terms were cached. To reset the cache you have to open your site with ?reset_filters_cache=true parameter in URL. For example – https://example.com/?reset_filters_cache=true Please try to do this.
On top of that, I can’t even duplicate the same filter set, which seems kind of incredible to me…
Hi, is it possible to filter by post year, similar to yearly archives but with a filter? In another response I noticed you said that filtering by date was coming soon, can you give me a rough idea when that feature might be ready? Thanks very much
Hello mrruse
For the moment it can be possible only if you have taxonomy or custom field, where you stored years for posts. For example values 2021, 2022, 2023 and so on. In this case you can create such filter. But classic filter by date for the moment is not ready and I think it will be availble not faster than in 3 months.
I am trying to create a filter that uses multiple drop downs that each rely on product categories, but its not letting me create more than one filter with product category. Is there a way to make this work?
Hello Arise-Digital
Thank you for using Filter Everything PRO.
It is technical restriction that you can not use the same entity twice or more in the same Filter Set. Usually instead of separate the same taxonomy to sub-gruops it is better to create individual taxonomies for these groups. For example it can be easily done with free CPTUI plugin and it will be much better from the app design point of view.
But if you want to create several Category filters on the same page, you can make a trick – create several Filter Sets, place several FIlter widgets in that page and you will achieve your goal.
