WDT_CURRENT_VERSION is a constant in wpDataTables, which most likely implies that wpDataTables is deactivated on your site.
Formidable Forms Integration for wpDataTables is an add-on for wpDataTables, and it can’t work on its own, so if wpDataTables is disabled, this is why you’re seeing these errors.

I had to disable the plugin to get the site to function at all after trying to do the update, but then after restoring the prior version to the site, I enabled the plugin again and everything worked just fine. So, maybe it threw that error when the plugin was disabled. Right after updating to the new version though, the site was completely broken (front and backend). For reference, I have always updated the plugin by renaming the current wpdatatables folder to wpdatatables-old, then load the new wpdatatables folder on to the server, and then delete the wpdatatables-old folder.

Hi. I’ve noticed what seems to be a bug. When importing a CSV file with large numbers (like “9781234567890”), I got when displaying the table:
- String column: “978123456789E+12”
- Float column (0 decimal places): “978.856.365.443.000.028.889.088,00”
- Integer column (skip thousands): “9223372036854775808”
- Integer column (not skipping thousands): “9.223.372.036.854.775.808”
All we needed is that the number just displays like it is… 9781234567890. But with this importing there is no way of achieving such view. The imported line in CSS look like this: 816673,Author,,30/10/2022,,,9789992069529,,,,,,,,,45.65,46,Title,99999993081,,,,

we are using your Plugin for a long time.
We really like it and use it for basic tables – no charts or any frontend editing.
Now there is an upgrade for the Plugin, and we are considering to do it, BUT – we don´t know where or which.
So my question is:

As far as we know, envato is exclusive. Isn´t that right?
One thing we can tell for sure. We would never buy the Envato renewal Plugin “again”. We only have a small amount of tables (40) after 4 or 5 Years and think this would be too expensive.

Envato was the only marketplace where you could purchase wpDataTables, but we’ve launched our own store a few years ago. If you’re interested in the price difference between Envato and what you see on our website, please feel free to submit a pre-purchase ticket by clicking here and we’ll gladly share more detail with you.
The fact is that both Envato and our website have the same version of the plugin, as we’re uploading all updates to Envato as well. You don’t need to purchase anything. The $260 you see is the extension on support, but you are entitled to all upcoming updates as Envato market offers a lifetime license. Wordpress.org hosts the Lite version of the plugin, but since you purchased it, we wouldn’t advise you downloading that.
In order to download the plugin, all you need to do is log into your Envato account, and access your Downloads section. Another option would be to let the plugin auto-update itself by going into Settings/Activation, and then clicking on the “Activate with Envato”. This will log you into your Envato account and activate the license.

Hi again, is there any way to change the select relationship for filters from an ‘and’ relationship to an ‘or’ relationship. In other words, if one selected 3 items in the filter, can one return all rows that meet any of the 3 seleted items as opposed to all of the selected criteria?

Merged cells are only supported in Simple Tables.
No other table type supports merging cells.

I got it to finally work but not in the traditional way. What was happening is I was entering my license in the activation seciton (why it ever disconnected is beyond me) and I would get the error message of “Product code is invalid or expired” – however this time I connected to the Envato API and it accepted it and was able to update. Why is this happening? I feel that is a fair question here since it is working now but something you should know about. If you still want me to message support (as I have screenshots) I can. Thanks.

The Purchase Code section is reserved for puchases made through our website. All Envato licenses need to be linked with your Envato account, so this is why you need to log into your account and activate the license like that.
We can’t say why the license was deactivated, but that should not be happening.

The date filter can accept only the date range, while the date column can only accept a single entry.

Hey there! Love the plugin. On one install of mine it stopped working as I switched caching plugins. SO I did pinpoint the error. In Chrome browser on a windows machine, my 2 data tables were just “spinning” and never loading. I deactivated my “Breeze” caching plugin and it worked as expected. .Is there an exception rule we must not cache here causing the problem ? Thanks

At the moment, you can only do this by editing the class.wpdatatable.php file, located in ../wp-content/plugins/wpdatatables/source/ folder.
Around like 4000 search for this:
$obj->dataTableParams->sDom = "BT<'clear'>{$showRowsPerPage}{$globalSearch}{$scrollable}{$infoBlock}{$pagination}";Move “BT” before “{$pagination}” and save the file, like this:
$obj->dataTableParams->sDom = "<'clear'>{$showRowsPerPage}{$globalSearch}{$scrollable}{$infoBlock}BT{$pagination}";
That will move it below the table.

Since wpDataTables uses HighCharts, Charts.js, Apex Charts, and Google Charts, there are probably JS callbacks you can use to move the labels within the bars. This, however, falls under custom development, and is not included in the provided support for the plugin.

Can I ask you another question. I try to copy and paste data from Excel to a manual table in the excel-like view.
This works pretty fine for field types integer, string, date, etc. But i does not work for time.
How must the data be formatted in excel to copy it to the excel like sheet in wpdatatables?
Same question for images: Can I drag and drop images from excel to excel like sheet, for example as img tag or something?
And another quick one:
Actually, when selecting something in filter 1, there are still all values (even those not shown after selecting filter 1) available in filter 2.
Is it possible, that dropdown elements that are not shown by the current selection are disabled or better not shown?

We can’t replicate the issue with pasting integer, string, float, and date type data. Formatting doesn’t affect the plugin when you copy/paste the cells, only if you create a table linked to or imported from an Excel sheet.
Images can’t be dragged and dropped at the moment, but we’ll see if it can be added in the future.
As for the filters – what you’re looking for is Cascade Filtering, which is only available in our paid add-on Powerful Filters.

I just try to copy a single cell with a time content like 15:30 to the excel like sheet and the cell in the sheet stays empty.
For the plugin… I am sure it is a great plugin. But I can not afford it. I bought wpdatatables when it was 30 dollar or something. But 200 for the plugin will definitely let my costs explode

Your plugin causes a conflict with “Elegant Elements for WPBakery Page Builder” that can be bought here on CodeCanyon. I just want to let you know, cause I think, this plugin is pretty popular. Or Elegant Elements for WPBakery Page Builder causes a plugin with wpDataTables (don´t know)
The effect is: When Elegant Elements for WPBakery Page Builder is activated and you visit a page or post with the wpDataTables Shortcode, the “Do you really want to delete? cancel countinie Modal appears. It can not be closed, cancel and continue buttons can not be pressed. Its like a freeze.

Poor performance when connected to a Formidable Pro Form and hoping anyone can help.
I’ve connected a Formidable Pro Form with 4000+ entries (records) to a wpDataTables table and the performance is very slow. It takes over 15 seconds to load the entries. Is 4000 + records to much or is there a solution?

Formidable Forms Integration for wpDataTables works without server-side processing, so the plugin fetches all the rows and outputs the entire table at once.
It’s split into pages using JavaScript and all data processing is done on the viewer’s computer by JavaScript. This does work great for relatively small tables, but while the table grows, so does the page where the table is. Consequently, page generation and load time will also increase correspondingly.
For larger data sets (more than 2.000 – 3.000 rows, and in some installations – more than 500 rows), these tables will work slowly, and for really large data sets (10.000 rows and more) the page can crash completely.
Unfortunately, there’s no way to solve this with Formidable Forms integration, since there’s no server-side option for this add-on.
Server-side is available for Gravity Forms Integration, though, although with it – filtering and sorting may not work properly.
