Pre sale question! Can I display colors as swatches?
Hello Ilustria
Thank you for your interest in Filter Everything PRO.
For the moment this option is not available in the plugin out of the box, but you can achieve this with custom coding and using template overriding feature.
Hi. How can I go about renaming the “Filters’ button on mobile to a different label? Thank you
Hi bartekw4
Thank you for using the plugin.
You can edit it using template overriding feature and to override the filters-button.php template.
Optionally you can translate it with Loco translate plugin if you use another non-English language on your site.
Filters simply don’t work. Here’s a screenrecording of our settings…. any suggestions on different settings are greatly appreciated
https://vimeo.com/751822390/686c3b5420Hello seattlemb
As I remember I already answered you about this problem and it was related with https://wholesalesuiteplugin.com plugin and the fact that you shows different content for your logged in and logged out users. It was here – https://codecanyon.net/comments/28707551
But if the same behavior remains without that plugin I recommend you to check it with another setting of the “Where to filter?” field and set it “Common WordPress pages” -> “Shop page” or “Common WordPress pages” -> “All archive pages for this Post Type”
Also you can try to select another WP_Query in the “And what to filter?” field. Some of these advices should help you.
Just sent the info needed to check on my site’s issue, which is that the search function breaks (returns 404) after activating the Filter Everything Pro plugin. Thanks!
Hello benwcrane
Thank you for using the plugin and for your credentials.
I checked your site and realized that you set “s” as URL prefix for category filter. It conflicts with “s” parameter for search algorhytim so I do not recommend to use it. I changed it to “category” and now search function works as expected – https://prnt.sc/SsHWK4KoPsx7
I deactivated the plugin, please check it yourself first.
Perfect! THANK YOU! Excellent support
I’m glad that your problem is solved
I would be thankful for a review about the plugin here on CodeCanyon – https://codecanyon.net/item/filter-everything-wordpress-woocommerce-filter/reviews/31634508
Thank you in advance!
Hi, is it possible to add a “show/hide filters” button?
Hi paolapi
Thank you for using the plugin.
For the moment only Folding option is available for filters in the plugin. Here is example how it works (bottom filters from Stock status to Backorders allowed). You can find this option under More options section for a filter.
But also I will add Show more/Show less trigger under filter in the next plugin update. This is almost ready.
Hi. I am using your plugin to attempt to filter animals on an animal charity site. I have set up ACF custom fields in the Pets plugin so I can translate everything easily with WPML. I have tried to use your filter to filter the animals however I am not able to choose anything else in the WP Query section aside from Pet query which is NOT where the ACF fields are. Is there any way around this so I can choose another WP query please as the front end shows There are no terms yet?
This has been solved thank you.
Great, I’m glad that your problem was solved and thank you that you notified about this
Great plugin! Just wondering how to make the hierarchy open by default when loading the page? By default hierarchy are closed with the + button to open them, i d need it to be open by default
Thank a lot for the support
Hi ecchermichele
Thank you for your warm words about the plugin.
Unfortunately for the moment such option is not available in the plugin, but I have plans to implement it in future updates. I will let you know here in comments when this will be ready.
Hi ecchermichele
I’m glad to inform you that in the latest plugin version 1.7.1 you can make hierarchical filters opened by default. As it is not very popular feature, I did it via hook, but maybe I will add this as separate option in the plugin UI later. Please, see how to make a Hierarchical filter opened by default here – https://gist.github.com/wpserve/aaa55f33224196671883116d6f694e32
I am using seo rules. But the brand name initials are lowercase. Here the screnshot -> https://prnt.sc/qAKNV2uOiTDX
Hello ahmetekinler
Thank you for using Filter Everything PRO.
By default all filter values are lowercased in SEO values. But there is special field in Filters -> Settings -> Entities, whose terms should display in SEO data without force lowercasing that allows you to specify filters that should not be lowercased. In your case you have to set there ‘pa_brand’ if you use WooCommerce brand attribute.
I am using ACF. What should I write in this situation? I solved other fields by typing “chipset” (custom fielt meta key). But I couldn’t make the brand name.
If your brands are also Custom Field, please write there its meta_key.
Not custom field, custom post taxonomy
Okay, write please taxonomy name. For example Product category has taxonomy name “product_cat”, you have to write the same for your custom taxonomy.
done, Thank you
Hi, Where can I edit the style of the filter? Change fontstyle, background,...
Hi Gaai
Thank you for using the plugin.
In general you can edit it via CSS rules only. You can store your CSS styles in Filters -> Settings -> Experimental -> Custom CSS.
The best way to edit certain CSS is to click on desired element with right mouse button and select Inspect Element. You will see all CSS styles related with this element and you can edit them as you need. After you can save them in Filters Settings. Of course this expects that you are familiar with CSS or you can quickly understand how to use them if you read about CSS.
Hi, I’ve been using Pro version for a while to create filters on custom posts archive pages. Here is example of custom post type “Group” arhive page (Elementor Pro as page builder, Hello elementor as theme, CPT UI and ACF for custom posts\fields). It works perfect with custom taxonomies but not with my custom fields. Filters for custom fields just stay empty. And I don’t see any reason for such behaviour on the page. Custom field “group name” is properly defined and described. I’ve also tried to insert custom “field id” instead of custom “field name” – but it also didn’t work. Hope you can advise what settings or nuances I didnt’ take in account and help to correct filter settings.
Hi alexeysmolin2016
Thank you for using Filter Everything PRO.
Usually you can not see filter terms until your posts get values in custom fields. Try please to set some values in this text field for several posts and after that check if they appear in the filter. Also you can try to reset filter terms cache by adding to the URL of your site ?reset_filters_cache=true For example https://example.com/?reset_filters_cache=true
My posts do have values, please have a look! Highlighted column and filter – it’s the same custom field named “group_name”. Filters above – custom taxonomies and they work great. But not custom fields. I also tried to create filters from others custom fields – no one works, only custom taxonomies work. ?reset_filters_cache=true didn’t help
alexeysmolin2016
In any way it is obviously not a bug, but configuration error. Optionally you can send me credentials to your /wp-admin in accordance with this document I will check it myself. But please, do all things in accordance with the document to get solution of the problem faster.
Thank you.
Hi, credentials were checked and sent, necessary plugins were installed.
Hi alexeysmolin2016
Thank you for your credentials.
I checked your site and realized that you have complex configuration, when one post type set as translatable in WPML, other post type is not tranlatable. I made small fix in the plugin code to handle such situation and now filter works fine. Please use this copy of the plugin and when the new version will be available, just update it as usual.
Great! Thanks a lot, everything works just fine now
Hi alexeysmolin2016
I’m glad that the problem is already solved
I would be thankful for a review about the plugin here on CodeCanyon – https://codecanyon.net/item/filter-everything-wordpress-woocommerce-filter/reviews/31634508

Dear Respected Author,
Thanks for your awesome work
We need your kind guidance and really hope that your plugin could help us and our fellow businesses.
We are mostly in Spare Parts, like Laptop, Computers and mobiles.
We face many issues, facing currently and Will try to explain it.
There is one part like SPARE-PART-A (ex.15.6” Screen) is suitable for almost 500 different model Laptops(ex. Dell 3542, HP 650, Asus Vivobook).
and we have likewise around 10 SPARE-PARTS-X (Screen, Battery, Charger), and this same spare parts are suitable for many Laptops.
What we want is to, when user comes to website, he should have option to select the BRAND LIKE … ASUS, DELL, HP and then he could CHOOSE MODEL … Like Dell Vostro, HP Pavilion, etc and then the respective Spare part could shown to customers.
And even, we want the products to separate list in organically in Google, so that if a user searched SPARE-PARTS-A for Dell Vostro, then it could launch same LANDING PAGE with all SEO.
I hope I’m able to explain, what we need.
For more clarity, I would like to share of example website, for you and pls check …
https://www.laptopscreen.com/English/brand/Dell/Here you can see, when customer selects DELL Brand, there is landing page with all series, and then after click on the series, the model list comes, and after that final magic happens, the user is shown with DYNAMICALLY GENERATED PRODUCT PAGE with Dell SCREEN for Particular SERIES, and also Particular MODEL is generated on the fly and even we search on google, this page is automatically created and shown to user,
https://www.maxbhi.com/searchmodel.html?brand_id=6271&ptid=Here you can see, when user selects the MOBILE BRAND the Landing page shown with MODEL of that BRAND, and then comes complete list of all MODELs and finally the list is shown with spare parts which are all compatible to that model.
This is very must needed, as we have 10,000s of models of laptops, and around 7-12 spare parts of all models, but mostly the 7-12 spare parts are same of most models, so listing them is not possible for all models, each. Instead it should generate dynamically.
I really hope and got some positive vibes, that your great work in form of plugin could really help us and our allies.
So humble request you to kindly help us.
Thank you again

Waiting for your kind reply

I have an affiliate website, not an ecommerce website. I created custom post types and taxonomies with another plugin, then I used Filter Everything Pro to set up a filter based on what I created and I created 9 test posts to test it out. Your plugin did not pick up any of the test posts from the custom post types I created within the filter. Every one of the filters in the dropdown menu has a zero. How do I fix this?? Does your plugin only filter posts from the normal Category section of Wordpress? I ask because when I created a filter around ‘Category’ all of the posts show up.
Hi mr_pritchett
Thank you for using Filter Everything PRO.
The plugin supports any taxonomies – custom or WordPress buit-in like Tags or Categories. It looks like you didn’t not attach your posts to these custom taxonomy terms and have Empty Terms -> Always Hide in your Filter Set.
Please, attach posts to your taxonomy terms, set Empty Terms -> Never Hide and check if it works after this.
Hi, I have a question with the Range filter, this is the example so i would like to do a range of years because im building a website of story if i can do this filter fantastic! let me know if i can do this changes because i only saw the filter work only 0 to forward, i want to put in the middle the 0 so i can choose -100 years and also +100 years.
Hi andy454
Thank you for your interest in Filter Everything PRO. In general if your years are stored as numeric values in post meta or taxonomy term fields (i.e. 1900, 1901, 1902 … 2022) you can create range filter with Min value 1900 and Max value 2022.
Technicaly range filter gets Min and Max values from posts meta fileds. And if the Min value is 0 than Min range value will be also 0.
Hypotetically you can create range filter with – 100 and +100 values but it requires to store in your post meta values – 100, – 99, – 98 … 99, 100 and they will cease to be relevant next year
So it’s bad idea.
Hi. Is there a search plugin that’s compatible with your filters? I would like to add a search module to the top of my custom post types listings if possible.
HI shaleedt
Thank you for using FIlter Everything PRO.
I’m not sure about search plugins, but I can say that FE is compatible with original WordPress search field. It means you can filter WordPress search results on their native pages. For example posts https://demo.filtereverything.pro/?s=nam&post_type=post or products https://demo.filtereverything.pro/?s=apple&post_type=product
I just tried Ivory search, and it works perfectly fine with the filters.
Great. Thank you for your information. It will be useful for other FE users.
How do I upgrade my support from every 6 months to yearly? Is there a lifetime license available?
Hello rody1202
I think you can try to extend your support period in the Downloads section – https://codecanyon.net/downloads opposite to Filter Everything PRO.
But in general your license is lifetime. It means you can use your plugin copy on your end-product site and on its development copy and to get further updates lifetime. But support period can be from 6 to 12 months with ability to renew it.
Pre-sales question: is it possible to give each filter page a unique text?
Hi williamfreijters
Thank you for your interest in Filter Everything PRO.
Yes, it is possible via SEO Rules to specify unique text for each filtering results page.
Hi! Really love this plugin, and have enjoyed the premium version. When I click on the sub categories, my URL adds the word “categories” before the actual sub category, and nothing displays. When I re-enter the URL without the “categories” added in, everything appears fine and the box is check. How can I resolve this? Thanks!
Hi danjt1629
Thank you for using PRO version.
Send me please link on the page with this problem, optionally you can send it via PM, but let me know here in comments, that you did it.
Say I have 2 posts with the custom field “Big Data” under the IMPACT group and 1 post with the custom field “Computational Biology” under the RESEARCH group. So my expectation is if I select “Big Data” and “Computational Biology”, I want 3 posts to appear. How can I archive this?
“Filter logic” AND/OR work within the same filter but not between filers
Hi cresaan
Thank you for your patience.
Indeed, filtering logic between filters is only “AND” and if you select “Big Data” and “Computational Biology” you will see only posts that have these values simultaneously. Other logic between filters unfortuncately is not available and technically requires too many resources to be implemented.
hello, where can i find the filter set id ?
Hello weboostdev
You if you open Filter Set edit screen you can find its ID in the URL of this page. For example it looks like https://example.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=318&action=edit where 318 is the Filter Set ID.
Hello Stepasyuk,
when I activate your pro plugin it shows the following error at the top of the search page:
