Hi there, I have a valid licence key, and I have been using it on multiple sites by deactivating the licence and then reusing it as instructed. However, after the latest update on one of my sites (v4.18.0), and after deactivating, the licence does not work on my other sites (limit reached), even though I’ve deactivated. Is this because of the recent change in how licences are handled, or is this maybe a bug? Thanks for the help!

Hello again, this was indeed some bug with the new version, so when I update the plugin manually (upload files), then I am able to add the licence no problem. Thanks again!

Hey! Apologies for the delayed response. Did you use the same license key / purchase code for multiple websites? Regarding licensing, one purchase in CodeCanyon.net can be used for one website. Learn more about it here: https://devowl.io/knowledge-base/licensing-of-multiple-websites-as-mulisite/ Regards, Matthew :-)

Real Media Library: License settings

I keep receiving this notification. I have followed the instruction to update for your new server but the process appears to be broken. I am now receiving a notification that my installation is illegal for some reason. I have three licenses with you for my sites, why is this process broken?

Hi there! Thanks for your comment. Please open a support ticket at https://devowl.io/support so we can check this for you. Regards, Matthew :-)

Hi there, I have installed WP Real Media Library and I have a key, like “d244fced-aa70-4d96-8e8e-3980813a55ed”, but when I try to aktivate I always become “this plugin is not installed” So what can I do?

Vielen Dank :-)

Hello!

Is there any way we can create a previous folder structure so Real Media Library would follow it?

For example, inside uploads create a structure like:

brands

...details

......info

...model

......details

And then when we open WordPress this structure is already there?

With previous I mean have this structure written by code or something, before running WordPress. Then, when we open WordPress, this structure will be there, just waiting for the images.

Hi there! Thanks for your message and sorry for the delayed answer. Do you mean a physical structure? Currently, Real Media Library does not allow to import physical files: https://devowl.io/knowledge-base/real-media-library-upload-files-via-ftp/

If you do this programmatically, you could use the PHP developer API (https://devowl.io/wordpress-real-media-library/developer-api/) and e.g. create folders with `wp_rml_create` and move files in your media library with `wp_rml_move`.

Regards, Matthew :-)

I am facing error every time I install this product the issue started a month ago. the website on admin dashboard shows critical error

Hi there! Thanks for your message and sorry for the delayed answer. Can you please check your PHP / server error log if there is anything logged about Real Media Library? What version of Real Media Library are you currently using? And what PHP version? Regards, Matthew :-)

Hi! Can’t load .cdr file issues: Sorry, you are not allowed to download this file type.

Hi there! How do you currently download the files? Does the issue persist, if you deactivate “Real Media Libary” plugin? Regards, Matthew :-)

We would like an answer in the topic about how to automate Real Media Library installation. We need a solution to activate the Pro license.

Would it be possible with WP-CLI? Setting an environment variable? Or maybe with composer?

Hi again! I answered to your first comment. Regards, Matthew :-)

I am trying to update and followed your instructions but I keep getting this:

Client property value is empty (in red) but I am selecting Production and entered my Licence: 17ac4f1a-a2ef-4fbc-830e-7791aea9f141

Please help.

Hi there! Sorry for the delayed answer. Can you please check in your database if your record `siteurl` in `wp_options` is autoloaded (autoload = `yes`)? Regards, Matthew :-)

Okay will do that and let you know. thanks!

Hello!

We have an installation of WordPress where we would like to totally manage it through WP CLI.

We are installing Real Media Library plugin but we have the files inside our repository. However, that prevent us to automatically update the plugin. Is there any way we can install Real Media Library through WordPress plugin list, to made it possible to check for updates? Or any other solution we might not be seeing?

Even with Real Media Library files inside our repository, making it possible to install and activate the plugin, it still required to enter the license. Is there any way we could enter the license with a command line? There is a post where someone is doing it using a method for ACF, we wondered if that is not possible for Real Media Library. Here is the link: https://philkurth.com.au/articles/set-acf-pro-license-key-via-wp-cli/

There are also various options for activating WordPress plugins through wp-cli demonstrated here https://anchor.host/deploying-paid-plugins/

It would be awesome if you could show us an option.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there! Thanks for your message. Currently, we do not provide a way to install our plugins through composer, but we have this already in our backlog. If you contact us via https://devowl.io/support we can link your email to our internal ticket and let you know asap when it is ready. To your other question: Yeah, you can activate the Real Media Library license automatically / programmatically by using the following filter: https://docs.devowl.io/real-cookie-banner/hooks/DevOwl_RealProductManager_License_Programmatic_$slug.html Note: You need to replace real-cookie-banner-pro with real-media-library. Regards, Matthew :-)

Installed the latest update, and we are noticing all our SVGs posts exist but the content is either gone or pointing incorrectly.

Hi there! Thanks for your message. The latest update of Real Media Library “just” introduced a new update server, nothing else changed. Did you update anything else? Does the issue still persist if you deactivate Real Media Library? Regards, Matthew :-)

Hi, we are busy building a new site and noticed that the current site uses WP Real Media Library version 2.4.1 developed by Matthias Günter. Is this the same (free in this case) plugin? If we buy the plugin via Codecanyon can we export and import the folder structure then? Thanks for your kind reply.

Hi there! Thanks for your message. Yeah, here is still Matthias! Please open a ticket via https://devowl.io/support, and we will do a migration for you as you are using an very old version. Regards, Matthew :-)

Hi, I recently was prompted to buy a second license for Real Media Library because I ”!already installed it on too many WP-Installations” My Question. One license is valid for how many WP-Sites?

PS: great plugin! :) I love and recommend it! :)

Hi! Danke für deine Nachricht und deine Worte. Eine Lizenz darf für zwei WordPress Installationen verwendet werden: 1x Produktion und 1x Staging/Testing. Grüße, Matthias :-)

this is getting ridiculous now. when I activate the license it now tells me the limit has been reached. Yet you say the license enables you a staging/testing site and your live site. That’s all I’ve done is just the staging site and now when trying to activate it on my live site it won’t let me

Hi again! Can you please tell me your purchase code via https://devowl.io/support so we can check this for you? Regards, Matthew :-)

how do I get it to automatically detect the physical sub folders that already physically exist. It’s saying there’s no folders yet however I already had my wp-uploads folder all organised with sub folders. I’m surprised the plugin can’t read that

Hi there! Thanks for your message. Please check out this: https://devowl.io/knowledge-base/real-media-library-upload-files-via-ftp/ – if the plugin is no longer in your interest, we are sorry, and you can request a refund here: https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/202821460-Can-I-Get-A-Refund- Regards, Matthew :-)

Hi, I’m not sure where to post feature requests so I hope you can pick it up here:

1. Assigning colors to folders would be very useful for visual workers.

2. Role based access to folders, e.g. if you have a “system” folder for site design elements, you might want to restrict it for all roles except administrator and editor. Similarly, key product images should not be possible to tamper with by any and all user roles.

Perhaps this is already possible with programming skills (which I don’t have any), but it would be great to have these features as settings in the UI.

Thanks for a great product!

Hi Peter,

thanks for your request and feature wishes. To help us respond faster to such requests in the future, please always open support requests at devowl.io/support.

1. Greate idea. I have noted it for future releases of Real Media Library. However, at the moment I can’t promise you when we will get to its implementation.

2. Great idea, but unfortunately not feasible due to WordPress core limitations. You can find a detailed explanation at https://devowl.io/knowledge-base/real-media-library-permissions-management-folders-per-user/.

Best regards,

Jan

hi, how do i disable a site (test site) where i use this plugin, i need to put it (the licence) on the right site, thank you

Hi! Navigate to the Real Media Library row in your plugins list, open “License settings” and click the “Deactivate” button. Regards, Matthew :-)

thank you, if there a way to confirm the domain that is suing the license?

What do you mean exactly? :-)

hi, i’ve bought the real media library media plugin but I cannot install it. Wordpress gives: the packages could not be installed, no packages found. I’ve deactiveted the free version, but it still does not work. Cheers, Rob

Hi there! Please unzip the downloaded file and you will find an installable real-media-library.zip file. Regards, Matthew :-)
