Hello, I have a few pre-sale questions.
1) I am trying to choose between Project SECURITY and WP Guard. I have a Wordpress site, but I also plan to create a forum on the same hosting service using a subdomain (forum.website.com). Is it better to buy your plugin for Wordpress or this script? Will WP Guard protect a forum on a subdomain?
2) I am not very familiar with PHP scripts. Do you need any additional knowledge of php to instail them on ftp of my hosting or is it can be done done in a few clicks?
3) At the moment proxy protection function (block any VPN user) works equally well in Project SECURITY and WP Guard? This feature is particularly interesting to me.

And your method was using the require as well, right?
Yes, it works like the “require” PHP statement but the syntax of using/calling file is little bit different for auto_prepend_file.

Thanks for the good words! A separate license is needed per each website/installation/domain. The market does not offer multi-use license. Yes, it is possible to manage multiple websites via single control panel if all of them have access to the file storage and database where the script is located. I have plans on integrating malware scanner feature but currently it is standalone script.

Yes, the script can work in root folder (public_html) and subdomain folder but I will recommend you to install it in subdirectory of the root directory. Example: public_html/security/
Question for Module settings: what is the difference between protection and auto-ban? if I activate protection, shouldn’t it be like auto-ban ?!
The protection option blocks the access when threat is detected. If the auto-ban option is enabled, then next time when the same attacker enters the site it will automatically be redirected to “Banned” warning page where where it can’t do malicious actions.

If your API is PHP based you can secure it via the integration code of Project SECURITY. Put the integration code with correct path in one main .php file of your API to protect it.

In that case make sure that the path in the integration code is correct. The easiest way to determine is to enable Live Traffic monitoring module and to visit the the API. Yes, such IP Range can be banned via the IP Range Bans page.
On Visitors Analytics- Live Traffic module. Please create a filter between bots and human visitors, also if possible visitors per city rather than only country.
