Hi there, I hope you are doing well! I am having issues that I need support with. On one page I have a filter inserted via a sidebar widget and it’s functional. On another page I added another filter (different one) via a shortcode and that one doesn’t work. The filter shows up but it doesn’t seem to be linked to the query and does not filter the posts. I tried all available queries in the backend filter page, emptied cache everytime etc, no success. May I please send you credentials via email to have a look? Thank you,
Hi wigdesign.
Ok, sure. Send them please in accordance with support preparations instruction and I will check it myself.
Great, credentials are sent via PM. Thanks for your time!
wigdesign
Your second filter works also, but you have to configure your AJAX for this page correctly. You can specify “CSS ID or Class of Posts Container” value for the appropriate Filter Set as .vc_col-sm-8.column_container
Optionally you can add your own ID for that container and specify it for the Filter Set. I’ve sent you link with example of the working filter.
Amazing it works, thank you so much!
Super, I’m glad that it works for you now
I would be appreciate about a review for the plugin here on CodeCanyon https://codecanyon.net/item/filter-everything-wordpress-woocommerce-filter/reviews/31634508
Thank you in advance.
hi, i have installed filter everything to my website and insert it to my blog page. However, when I filter with posts, it still showing all posts after loading, please help
webpage: https://siriusa.asia/supplementsHello chrislee275
It looks like you have to select correct WP_Query in the field And what to filter? of the Filter Set. If you have several values in that field, try to experiment with different, until you find correct, that works normally.
Hi, I have tried all the wp_query in the filter and set the what to filter as post also but it still not filtering in my blog page
Maybe can you access my site and have a look for it?
Yes, sure. I already answered you about that in other comment.
Hello,
great plugin. But do you know what is really missing? A text-search for title for example. or generally in excerpt/content.
Hello BuddyHoli
Thank you for your warm words about the plugin and for your advice. I will definitely add this field in the future updates and this task is already in my schedule. I will notify you about the result here in this comments thread.
Hello, We use your plugin to filter products by categories with the show hierarchy enabled but we would like to have always them uncollapsed could you tell me how we can achive it ? thanks in advance Best regards,
Hello prezenz.
Thank you for purchasing the plugin.
This can be done via plugin’s code customizing and requires a developer’s help. I have already this task in my schedule and I will add this in future plugin updates, but I can’t say when this will be ready.
Hello. I added a category and assigned a post. Unfortunately this is not displayed. But as soon as I assign another category to the post, it is displayed. Can you please help me?
Hello hs-technik.
Do you use the latest plugin version? If yes and problem still persists send me please more details: - both categories names - link to the page with the problem - where do you mean category is not displayed? In filter terms list?
Optionally you can send me credentials to your /wp-admin in accordance with this document – https://docs.google.com/document/d/1drDyTnF39LQAxk8BL8PR2hSJdpBm_SE9dR9Yh8of1JU/edit#
Hello there – URL is https://hst.herrmann-art.com/produkte/akku-ladetechnik/ and the empty category is HS-Technik Li-Ion Akkus. I have 2 Posts in this category but they are not displayed… I will send you credentials to wp-admin… thanks a lot
hs-technik
Thank you for your credentials. I checked this and realized that you displayed on your page blog posts from several categories https://prnt.sc/wCptHFTNheJ7, but not from the category “HS-Technik Li-Ion Akkus” So this is the reason, why you see it empty in Filters widget.
Try please to show all posts on the page (remove selected categories from Blog posts module in Avada) or at least add the category “HS-Technik Li-Ion Akkus” to the Blog posts module and you will see it non-empty in Filters widget.
Hello thanks for your great and fast support. I have add the category but filter is empty. Posts for this category now display but Filter Widget show a “0” – any idea?
You should also update the Filter Set. I did it and now it is “HS-Technik Li-Ion Akkus (2)”
Hey there, any chance you can make this elasticpress compatible?
Hello Puru991
Thank you for purchasing the plugin.
This task was already added to my schedule but for the moment I can’t say when exactly it will be ready. But I will notify you about the result here in comments.
Thank you so much, waiting to purchase more codes when this is done
Hi, I have an issue with the Price slider. The Slider has no color, I tried to add CSS but had no success. Also, the Elements at the start and the end of the price slider are not round.
Hello artlinedesign
It seems it is influence of your theme CSS or maybe some plugin. Provide me please with link to the page with the problem, I will check it and let you know how to fix it. Optionally you can send it via PM.
Hi, I use Pods Framework Plugin https://github.com/pods-framework/pods for dynamic data in WordPress (Like ACF). Does your plugin work with Pods Framework integration (Filter by Custom Field, Custom Post Type created by Pods)? Thanks
Hi vietnghe
Yes, it was tested with Pods and works with this plugin.
Hi! We use Elementor Pro and the post widget with number pagination. When we order the posts in a random order, some of the posts come back in the following pages. Do you know how we avoid this from happening? Thanks
Hi expomangersante
I’m not sure I understood you about the problem. Can you please explain it more clear or maybe provide me with screenshot/video?
Thank you.
Hi, we are using your plugin and are happy with it. We would like to sort the filter terms numerically. Can this be implemented? Or will there be an update soon with this option?
Addition: When the plugin is active, and i’m trying to remove all variation of a product, it keeps loading / spinning. When plugin is deactivated it is all fine. Please let us know how to fix this issue.
Hi hariswebspark
Thank you for purchasing the plugin.
1. In general you can sort terms by any parameter, but of course it requires additional coding. Here is example how to sort terms by menu_order value stored in term meta fields – https://gist.github.com/wpserve/6068fdfb0fe8312edb3406b32e0f0ceaIf you are familiar with PHP or you can ask a developer to help you, this code is good example how to achieve that.
2. This is evidence of some JavaScript conflict. Send me please link to the page with the problem I will check it. You can send it privately via PM.
Hi, thanks i will have a look at it. I did send u an email with the link. Can you please check this asap? Webshop owner gets impatient
Hi hariswebspark
Thank you for your link. I checked this and realized that you have JavaScript code error on your site. I’ve sent you link to the screenshot with this error on email. I think you have to fix it and after to try to check if variation removing works after that.
BTW, I’m not sure how and where you tried to remove variations. It would be better if you provide me with screenshot or even short movie how you tried to do that.
Hello, I am trying to put a filter on a product tags -page, so that the filter would filter according to the product categories I have. It, however, does not filter anything, but shows everything under that one tag. What could I do to make this possible? Thank you!
Nevermind, I solved it other way! Stay safe!
Hello fannilaa.
Thank you for purchasing the plugin. I’m glad that your problem is solved now.
Hi How to add the filters in WP-Bakery in custom fields.
Hello logakarthikeyan.
Thank you for purchasing the pluign.
In WP-Bakery page builder you can add Filters widget as regular WordPress widget or via shortcode [fe_widget] Here you can find more about shortcodes – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/shortcodes/
Also I recommend you to read common information about how to configure filters – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/quickstart/
Hi, Thank you for reply. We are using revolution child theme. I tried the shortcode process in documentation but it didn’t work and also customize categories not visible in the right side of the page only the filter is visible in the left. when we click on the any filter its not fetching the data. what will be the problem, because of theme its not working?
logakarthikeyan
Send me please link to the page with this problem. It will be more obviously what exactly is wrong. Optionally you can send it privately via PM.
Hello, I have filters in place for bedrooms, bathrooms, price and sqft. They are all acf select fields in the backend that have a + on them like 3+ Bedrooms. When a user selects 3+ Bedrooms, how can they get results that are also 4+ bedrooms and 5+ bedrooms with a single selection?
Hello tvel324
Thank you for purchasing the plugin.
In general it is possible to achieve but it reqiures additional coding for that. You can use next hooks https://filtereverything.pro/resources/hooks/#term-html-hooks to replace original filter URLs with URLs that contains group of parameters.
For example URL part that is responsible for 3+ Bathrooms /bathrooms-3plus/ can be replaced with group URL part /bathrooms-3plus-or-4plus-or-5plus/
Of course it requires to be familiar with PHP or ask a developer for help.
Thank you for your help. I tried to do something like this but used the checkboxes hook information. Is there one specific to the select/dropdown?
tvel324
I would be glad to hlep you with the code, but unfortunately this is something outside from the item support scope in accordance with the CodeCanyon support rules.
I can only provide code example but debugging or its modifying is your own deal. You have to ask a developer to help you if you are not familiar with PHP coding.
Thank you for your response, is there a term hook available for me to use with the dropdown?
tvel324
Unfortunately there is no special hook for the Dropdown view term html like they exist for other views. But you always can override dropdown.php template and modify it as you need. Use please this short article to know how to do that – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/templates-overriding/
Also you can use hookapply_filters( 'wpc_view_include_filename', $filter['view'], $filter, $set ) to handle desired view template file for the specific filter.
Both these ways allow you to handle filter term URLs in the Dropdown view.
Hi, does your plugin work with Rank Math SEO integration?
Hi vietnghe
Thank you for your interest in Filter Everything plugin.
Yes, it is compatible with Rank Math SEO, but all SEO data on filtering result pages can be configured in Filter Everything settings.
Hi, thank for your reply. What happen with your SEO Filter URL and XML Sitemap “Rank Math SEO” for SEO?
Thanks
For the moment filtering result pages links are not present in any XML sitemap. But this sitemap will be added later.
Hello! I like your plugin very much and would like to buy it. Unfortunately I can’t get the free version run with the ENFOLD Theme. I don’t see anything at all. Do you know why that is or does it only work with the Pro version? Thanks very much!
Hello zenchecker
Thank you for your interest in Filter Everything.
Both versions of the plugin – Pro and Free – works with Enfold theme. But its configuring requires some additional knowledges of how to do it correctly. Look please on this article https://filtereverything.pro/resources/quickstart/
Also you have to know that Free version works with native (Main) WP_Queries only, but Pro filters all WP_Queries.
Thank you for your prompt reply! I’ve tried everything for hours now. No matter what I do, the only thing I see is the sorting widget. The other widgets do not appear. No matter what I select, neither posts nor portfolio entries or anything else are displayed. Unfortunately the documentation didn’t help me either
zenchecker in general this comments page is for support for users who purchased the PRO version. Your question is related with the Free version and should be asked on WordPress.org support forum.
Thank your for your understanding.
Thanks for the hint. Since a lot of inquiries are made here by potential buyers, which you also answer, just like mine, I took the liberty of doing so. But no problem, I’ve found a plugin that works well for me. Nevertheless, thank you for your feedback. Best regards
Great filter but I’m having an issue trying to get it to show using the shortcode.
I’ve created a page using the Divi theme with two columns. On the right i’m using Divis module ‘Woo Products’ to display a list of products. On the left column i’m adding a short code which looks like this
[fe_widget id=”4536” show_selected=”yes” show_count=”yes”]
The filter is set to show on ‘Common Pages’ ‘All archive pages for this Post Type’ but nothing is showing?
Can you please tell me what I’m doing wrong?
Just as an update I’ve also tried changing the ‘Where to filter’ setting to ‘Pages’ then my desired page but still nothing, i’ve also tried taking the ID out of the shortcode leaving it as [fe_widget]
Hello buzzinbilly
Thank you for purchasing the plugin.
To make Filters widget visible on the page, it should met conditions from the list in this article – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/filters-widget/
If this will not help you, you can send me credentials to your /wp-admin in accordance with this instruction – https://docs.google.com/document/d/1drDyTnF39LQAxk8BL8PR2hSJdpBm_SE9dR9Yh8of1JU/edit#heading=h.agqaekcbz5j8 and I will check it myself.
I will send the admin details shortly, but after reading your guide it says
‘The sidebar or widget area, where you placed the Filter widget is not hidden by default (requires click to become opened). Sometimes this happens on mobile devices.’
But I will not be using any sidebar or widget areas on the page, I would like the filter to appear where the shortcode is placed eg not in widget area but on main page.
Also i cant seem to get the Range Slider to work
Hi buzzinbilly
Thank you for your credentials. I checked this and realized that you haveo another problem that may be related with the issue, when the Filters widget does not appear on the page.
If you look on your Filter Set, you will see that Filter by and URL prefix parameters disappear in some time after you open its edit screen.
Before – https://prnt.sc/afqfDh5498fU
After – https://prnt.sc/rIVlZNPF9AQD
It looks like influence of other plugin or custom code. Try please to slve this problem first and after I can check your site again. Because for the moment I can’t experimentally edit and save Filter Set due to these empty fields.
Thanks for your reply, it turns out I’m having multiple issues.
The issue with the URL prefix disappearing is caused by a plugin called WooCommerce Multiple Addresses by Xperts Club. I have asked them to look into the compatibility issue.
I’m also having another conflict with a plugin called Divi BodyCommerce by Divi Engine which causes the dropdown arrow to disappear which is used to edit the filters, I can also ask this author to look into this.
3rd issue is i cant get the short code to show
4th issue is while i’m trying to debug this, i cant use the same filter attribute twice. For example i have one filter set which is to filter by product attribute colour, this is set to show on a page using a shortcode. I’ve created a second filter set to show on common pages – ‘all archive pages for this post type’ but i cant select the same attribute of filter of colour because it is already being used?
The final issue is that i cant get the range slider to be selectable, i have an attribute which is numerical only but it wont let me use range slider on it?
I appreciate there is a few issue to get around and could be a bit of work but i do however really think this is a great plugin and hopefully can get these resolved.
The previous site i sent logon details for is currently live so i don’t want to mess around with it too much, however i have a test domain name which i have recreated the same basic settings on. If i send you the admin details for the test site will you be able to have a look and see whats going only? Mainly with the range slider and using the same attributes on multiple filters.
Many Thanks Billy
Update! The shortcode works fine, its a compatibility issue with a plugin called All in One SEO by All in One SEO Team. When that plugin is activated nothing appears and when deactived the filter shows.
Hi buzzinbilly
You can use the same attribute in different Filter Sets. The only limitation is that you can not use the same attribute twice in the SAME Filter Set.
Maybe you did not select correct Post type in the Filter Set if the colour attribute is greyed out and unavailable for selection. Or maybe there are several colour attributes and one of them is not related with selected Post type. Please, check it closely.
Range slider for the moment is not available for Woo attributes but only for Custom Field Num filters. I will add support range slider for the taxonomies and attributes in future updates and will notify you here in this comments thread.
Hello buzzinbilly
I’m glad to notify you that now numeric filter is also available for taxonomies. This new type of filter (Taxonomy Numeric) is available in the latest plugin version 1.7.0 available here on CodeCanyon.
thats amazing thank you for the update
Hi Stepasyuk
I’ve added a Taxonomy Numeric Range Slider, but when applied the results do not change
Hey. I have a custom post type where I have put a shortcode to display products (woocommerce). I don’t find the way to make the filter works there. You do have an option to select a post from the custom post type, but 1) the filter is not working 2) I would like to add this filter to ALL posts from the custom post type. Can you help me please ? Thanks
Hello hilaireidc.
Thank you for purchasing the plugin and sorry for the late reply. It’s because of war in my country (Ukraine).
In general the information you provided is not enough to understand your goal and to solve the problem. I recommend you to try to setup filter in accordance with this article and read about Filter Set and its options – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/filter-set/
It helps you to understand how it works and how to configure filters right.
Hi. We are authors of the WooCommerce Visibility plugin. It seems that our plugin is compatible with the free version of you plugin, but not with the pro version. Any ideas?
Hello codemine.
Thank you for your interest in Filter Everything PRO. Explain me please what exactly works wrong in the PRO version with your plugiin?
Thank you.
Hi, we just sent you a private message though your profile page in order to resolve this through mail (and not in comment section).
Thank you
Hi codemine
I received your email, read it and it seems the reason is that my plugin affects on the WP_Query simultaneously with your plugin. You can check this if you install Query Monitor and try to find filtered SQL query, it contains comment with words ”/* Current SQL Query is filtered by Filter Everything plugin */”
If you investigate this query, you can find why it may works wrong. I would be glad to help you more with that, but you are not my customer so I have no too many time to check this.
In general I added task in my schedule to check compatibility with your plugin, but I will do that as soon as possible.
Hi,
We investigated the query. We think that the problem is that you set flrt_query_hash variable, which is changed. We really can’t say why it is changed. The result is that your function isFilteredQuery returns empty results. This is happening only in pro version.
We hope the war ends soon in your country (we show in the comment below that you are from Ukraine). Feel free to contact with us whenever you want.
Thank you
Codemine, thank you for your wishes for a speedy end to the war. I also hope it will end soon.
Thanks for building such a fantastic plugin! We’re facing two issues below and wonder if you had any insight.
1) Multiple filter sets on same page not working
We recently purchased the premium version of your plugin but I’m running into an issue with display two filter sets on the same page. I’m able to get the second filter set to work, but the first is not working (when I click on any of the filter chips, the AJAX loads but nothing happens).
Do you have any ideas what the issue is?
If you prefer to see the issue firsthand, I’ve created a temporary admin account for you which was emailed to you directly via the support chat.
2) A way to add reset or “all” chip for filter chips?
Lastly, is there a way to add a “reset” button or filter chip beside the other filter chips so users don’t have to unclick each filter chip individually to remove them?
Thanks for your help!
Hello ericmok
Thank you for purchasing the plugin and your warm words about it. And thank you for your credentials.
1. I checked the site and as I see you placed two identical WP_Queries (Product queries) on the Homepage. And every Filter Set affects on both of them. Can you please insert there really two different WP_Queires with different query parameters? One for bestsellers, the second for the “I’m looking to Blaze…” section.
Also I temporary disabled AJAX because we have to configure correct filtering first.
2. To show the Reset button you can place chips widget or shortcode [fe_chips] wherever you need and add next example of CSS on the page with filtering. You can add it for example via Filters -> Settigs -> Experimental -> Custom CSS
#wpc_chips_widget-2 .wpc-filter-chip:not(.wpc-chip-reset-all){
display: none;
}
Where #wpc_chips_widget-2 is the chips widget wrapper and it may be different in your case. You can find it in HTML code. In general this code hides all chips except the Reset button.
Let me know about the result.
Hi Stepasyuk, thanks for your help! #2 is solved – we were able to get the “reset” button to show. Thank you!
In regards to point #1, I’m still not able to get multiple filter sets to work separately even with two separate WP_Queries. “Looking to Blaze” is set to “Product Query #1”; “Best Sellers” is set to “Product Query #2”.
Do you have any other insights on how to get this to work?
Hey Stepasyuk, apologies on reaching out again – I know you must be busy.
Any thoughts on point #1 in my last message?
Hello ericmok
I checked the problem again and realized that your case is very specific. To achieve the goal, when you want to filter your two product grids so the first FIlter Set should not affect on the Second products list and vice verca you have to use filters by different entities for them.
The reason of the problem is that both your Filter Sets filters by the same entity – by Product Category. If you will use Product Tag for the second Filter Set they will work correctly and will not affect each other.
Try please to use this solution.
Hello,
I have a small problem making some of the ACF filters work. As you can see on the link i sent via PM, some of the filters work, some not. For example, if I try to filter by “Appellation” I can see there are 34 posts but they don’t show up on the main content ( https://share.getcloudapp.com/z8ukKg6Q ) . This is not happening if I’m trying to filter by “Varietal, Cases or Winery”. Can you let me know if I’m doing something wrong?
Cheers
After a new import, all filters works except “Varietal”. Check link sent in PM
Hello Roipop11.
Thank you for purchasing the pluign and sorry for the late response. It’s because of war in my country (Ukraine).
As I see now all works fine. If not, explain me please what exactly works wrong.
