1)So I have installed the plugin. Followed the 4 steps, but I see no change in the price. 2) Also I don’t want to see the tag on non-product based pages such as contact us, homepage, terms and conditions, etc. 3) The button/tag looks super big on mobile screens too. ( but this is just a suggestion for the long term, the other first two things are priorities.
Hey, thanks for purchasing Tax Toggle. Please open a private support ticket with me where you can share your site URL and/or your WordPress Health Check system info text – here is the URL to submit https://desk.thetwopercent.co.uk/index.php?a=add&category=2
2) We have an option in WooCommerce > Settings > Tax to only show tax toggle on shop pages, but this does include home page – we go in to detail on our Knowledge Base, some simple CSS should hide it https://desk.thetwopercent.co.uk/knowledgebase.php?article=18
3) Making a Tax Toggle that looks perfect for every theme on every website in every language on every device is not practical and not the goal of the plugin. Developers are free to customise the plugin as they need using simple CSS targeting #wcvat-toggle – we provide knowledge base articles on the site to show you how to change colour, change position, you just need to add a media query to these for your mobile device sizes to update sizing or anything else.
Hope that helps!
submitted ticket just now
Resolved – user had incorrectly set tax settings to only apply to customers in the shops postcode, therefore tax rate applied to visitors was always 0, so the prices inc and exc were the same.
Thank you author, can you also send the link where I can learn how to remove the floating toggle from the homepage?
As per first reply – please see this knowledge base link https://desk.thetwopercent.co.uk/knowledgebase.php?article=18
Hello, is your plugin compatible with Barn2 WooCommerce Bulk Variations plugin ?
Hey, thanks for your question on Tax Toggle. The short answer is: I don’t know. The long answer is: Probably not. Virtually any plugin that manipulates price will conflict against each other. There are steps to take to hook in filters and outputs to change the output, and this is definitely possible, but making this compatibility falls out of general support that I can offer (or that Barn2 can offer) to integrate the plugins. Any WordPress developer should be able to integrate the plugins together to suit your requirements, but very often a “one size fits all” solution is not practical or possible. Hope that helps. James
I want full refund as the app is crap and does not working.
Hey! Thanks for purchasing Tax Toggle! You’ve clearly not read the readme or followed the instructions as you’ve left a comment here instead of reaching out for free support directly to me. The plugin is pretty simple and thus is almost impossible to cause the error you are seeing. Why not provide your site URL so I can help you solve the issue with your site? What version of WordPress is installed? What other plugins are installed? What version of PHP are you running? Does two comments – one abusive – and a 1 star review help you solve your issue? If the plugin allegedly breaks your site why not remove it and then contact me instead of having a tantrum? My plugin is now in use in over 10,000 WordPress websites, I don’t need to be told it’s crap and doesn’t work after spending thousands of hours of my time creating it and maintaining it. Please apply for a refund via CodeCanyon if you have no patience or decorum and I will gladly refund you immediately, I simply do not want customers like you.
Haven’t heard from you since two comments and 1 star review. When are you applying for a refund?
Hi. Got this message after buying and installing your plugin. There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

I need the Include VAT to appear in the body of the page, where I have placed the short code, however this just jumps to the top of the page.
Hi Davinder, thanks for purchasing Tax Toggle and sorry to hear you’re having issues. The problem with the CSS for the inline shortcode is fixed in version 1.3.6, but Code Canyon has not approved this release yet. Please open a support ticket with us and we will send you the latest version of the plugin https://desk.thetwopercent.co.uk/index.php?a=add&category=2
Hi TwoPercentCouk
I have bought the tax toggle, but it does not seem to work on the mobile version of our site? Do you know what causes this and what to do to solve it?
Thanks in advance
Chris
Hi Chris, that’s not a known issue, so must be something theme or plugin related. Would be best if I can see your site to try and diagnose what is happening. You can open a direct support ticket with me here https://desk.thetwopercent.co.uk/index.php?a=add&category=2
Hi,
I just bought you plug-in and I have 2 questions.
1: is it possible to float the tax toggle right?
2: my shop consists out of product bundles with low tax and high tax. When I turn off the tax toggle, it shows the product price excl tax of only the high tax.
The link to the webshop is: https://www.bedanktdoos.nl/webshop/?orderby=price.
Could you help me please?
Thanks in advance!
Hi Michiel, thanks for purchasing Tax Toggle!
1) You can float and style the Tax Toggle any way you please. I have a brief article on some basics here – https://desk.thetwopercent.co.uk/knowledgebase.php?article=8 – For your exact question you should be able to add something like this to your theme CSS: #wcvat-toggle { left: unset; right: 0; }
Although that may make it clash with your other floating button, but should get you on the way.
2) Tax Toggle only displays what is in the settings from WooCommerce – the plugin makes no tax calculations. I believe tax rates are applied in order, so perhaps put the smallest rate first in the table of tax. Each product can have a tax rate applied to it so perhaps you need to choose that specifically as the main tax. Tax can be setup based on the shops location or customers, and this can affect the base tax rate, so this could also be changed in WooCommerce settings. This page on WooCommerce goes through a lot of setup information https://woocommerce.com/document/setting-up-taxes-in-woocommerce/ Tax Toggle uses a standard WooCommerce function to pull the tax price for each item, and as far as I know there is no alternative or options to pick based on tax so I am 99% sure this fault lies with your settings. If you don’t think so, I will need admin access to your site or a staging copy (preferred) so I can look at the settings – if you want to arrange that please open a private support ticket with me here https://desk.thetwopercent.co.uk/index.php?a=add&category=2
3) FYI some pages of your site have an issue where JavasScript is not working due to JS error “Can’t find variable: prod_exists_in_JSON” – this is not related to Tax Toggle but will stop it working!
Hope that helps James
Hello,
we have installed the PlugIn but it doesn’t switch the Prices. The PlugIn seems to function. That means if the Pre settings are for example set to have a default net Price it does its Job to set the right prices by default.
The Problem is that the toggle is not able to switch to the Price incl. the taxes.
When having the mouse on the toggle or clicking on it the gives a note of void(0)
hopefully you can help us
thank you
kind regards
walid from wsu
Hi Walid, thanks for using Tax Toggle and sorry to hear you are having problems. Sounds like there is some JavaScript conflict or issue with your theme (I have not heard of this issue before). Please open a direct support ticket with me including your site URL and access to a staging site if that is possible https://desk.thetwopercent.co.uk/index.php?a=add&category=2
Hi, does this work with the Dynamic Pricing plugin on WooCommerce?
We have already tried it with the Tiered Pricing Table plugin and it had no effect on the prices. Would be useful to know if it is this type of plugin that it is incompatible with or that particular plugin before we make any additional purchases to try and resolve.
Thanks
Hey Puk, we don’t have a “definitely doesn’t work” list (perhaps we should) but many price manipulation plugins use the same hook insertion method as the Tax Toggle plugin or they use custom JavaScript to insert data (of which we or any other plugin has no access too) so when both installed the plugins do not work together. Their plugin is “not compatible” with Tax Toggle as much as ours is not compatible with theirs. I do know customers of ours who have integrated Tax Toggle with plugins like these, and I myself have done custom work on integrating solutions, but this is not standardised enough to release as part of the plugin and requires ongoing support and maintenance. So integration is possible, just not quite as plug and play as many would require. Hope that helps, James
Thanks for the plug-in! Can you tell me how I can change the text? I want it in dutch so “Exclusief btw” and “Inclusief btw”.
I tried the php snipped, but I cannot work it out. Thanks in advance!
Hey thanks for using Tax Toggle. There are two main ways to translate the text in the plugin. You can use a simple gettext based function which you should insert in your themes functions.php file – https://gist.github.com/thetwopct/6b6935c213b0d5b85b8e8ea9dcf6ac12 To change it to suit, you just match the word to change with your translation, for example line 18 says whenever the word “From” is used, change it to line 19 “Von”. You can do that for any words you want to translate. The second way to translate is to use the bundled language file which was released in version 1.3.5. However due to some problems with Code Canyon this version is not publicly released, so if you want to try that please open a support ticket with me and I can send it to you https://desk.thetwopercent.co.uk/index.php?a=add&category=2 Thanks
Hi,
Is it possible to request a refund as the plugin doesn’t work with our bespoke product calculator?
475f56a5-dc85-4230-8c00-1fdb8a73d39f
Regards
Andy
Hi Andy, thanks for purchasing and sorry the Toggle didn’t work with your custom code. If you want to open a support ticket with me and send me your code I’m happy to see if it can be integrated. For a refund, authors on CodeCanyon cannot issue refunds in this way, you must request a refund via your Dashboard and then I can approve it. Hope that makes sense! Thanks, James
I have noticed that if we schedule a sale price, then the product pages are showing duplicate price, but the first crossed out. if I disable your plugin, then it correctly only shows the current full price (sale has not started yet). I have seen a few people mentioned same issue 4 years ago, but did not see a solution.
Please can you give a fix for this?
Hey, thanks for reporting this, I haven’t heard of this issue since acquiring this plugin. Sounds like a problem that should be fixed. The plugin has currently got some issues with being released via CodeCanyon so can you please open a support ticket with me so I can send you an update or fix once it’s done. If it’s possible to include an example on a staging site so I can see the issue straight away that would be great, if not, no problem. Thanks. https://desk.thetwopercent.co.uk/index.php?a=add&category=2
Hi,
I wanted our customers to have the option to switch between incl.VAT/Exc.VAT prices with a button. I have installed your plugin called “Tax Toggle for WooCommerce” and it works well with simple products but unfortunately it doesn’t work with composite products and it doesn’t switch between prices. I would like to know if you can find us a solution to that problem. We have tried two different composite product plugins and it doesn’t work with any of them. The names of plugins are “WooCommerce Composite Products by WooCommerce” and “WPC Composite Products for WooCommerce by WPClever”.
We have listed the link for a test product below:
https://fullcleancentre.com/product/test-pole/Thanks Regards
Emre Bayin BAYERSAN UK LTD
Hi Emre, thanks for using Tax Toggle and sorry you are having problems. I have not used or heard of either of those plugins. Have you asked the author of those plugins if their plugins are compatible with Tax Toggle? Tax Toggle uses default WooCommerce filters to insert the inc/exc price. A common scenario is that other plugins are badly coded or they insert their own markup over the WooCommerce default, thus preventing or stopping Tax Toggle from working. It would be easier for me to look at a staging version of your site, you can open a private support ticket with me so we can swap details – https://desk.thetwopercent.co.uk/index.php?a=add&category=2 It will also be interesting to hear more about your composite product needs as there may be a workaround or custom code solution I can suggest. Thanks!
Hello, I’ve bought the plugin, it’s working well. We are getting an issue with the WooCommerce Product Bundles https://woocommerce.com/products/product-bundles/ plugin.
The product price for a bundled product is updating when the toggle changes, great, but unfortunately the total bundle price does not update.
I think this may have come up before. Do you know if your plugin can update the bundled price?
Regards, Simon
Hey Simon, thanks for using Tax Toggle and I’m sorry you’ve ran in to issues. Out of the box, Tax Toggle is not compatible with Product Bundles, and likewise Product Bundles is not compatible with Tax Toggle. I don’t recall this incompatibility coming up before specifically for this plugin, but anything that manipulates price can clash with Tax Toggle as that is also manipulating price. We don’t have any snippets on hand to fix the issue. Looking at the Product Bundles plugin they have several actions where the price of the bundle could be manipulated to show inc/ex price (i.e. woocommerce_bundled_item_details https://woocommerce.com/document/bundles/bundles-actions-reference/#woocommerce_bundled_item_details) but it would depend on how you are using it in your site, so it would be a custom code job. If your site is still in development and you can share it with me as a dev environment I can perhaps spend some time on this and see if I can get it working for you, some plugins are easy to integrate with but others are tough. I’ve never looked at Bundles, so it’s hard to tell from the WooCommerce demo site. If you want me to take a look, please open a private support ticket with me and we can go from there https://desk.thetwopercent.co.uk/index.php?a=add&category=2 Thanks
Hello, thank you for the quick reply. I have opened a support ticket. I realise the last mention of Product Bundles in these comments was over 3 years ago, not very current. Thanks, Simon
The plugin seemed to work as expected but just on some pages while loading it shows the tax data and shortly after that it is replaced with the normal price display, so I got two identical prices next to each other
Thanks for your comment and sorry you’re experiencing issues. Could be quite a few reasons why that it is not working – from improper tax setup, bad css, bad theme, bad plugins, etc, etc. Without seeing your site it’s really hard to help you. As per the plugin read me file, description and all help guides, you can open a support ticket with me with the site info and I can try to help – https://desk.thetwopercent.co.uk/knowledgebase.php?category=2
By default ny activating the plugin price exclude vat is showing. And when you click the button include vat is showing. Is it possible to switch this. So that by default the prices is with VAT, and when you click the button the prices are without VAT ?
Hey, thanks for the comment, this one is easy and maybe you’ve worked it out by now! In WP Admin, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Tax > Display prices in the shop = Including Tax or Excluding Tax. The Toggle automatically switches to whatever is needed. Hope that helps.
Hi there,
I’ve bought and added your plugin to www.haicors.nl (at the moment the floating toggle is disabled). I’ve disabled it for a short time because it does not work correctly.
For example this product: https://haicors.nl/product/loctite-55-schroefdraadafdichting-160m/
There is a discount on it when you add more then 5 to the cart. When these 5 items are in the cart you see there is a original price and a discounted price. With the toggle disabled all works fine. But when i make the toggle visible and switch between EX or INCL VAT the final price you pay with discount does not change! It stays EX VAT.
How can i solve this? Let me know what you need from me (for example FTP or website login).
Hi Jordy, thank for purchasing Tax Toggle and sorry you are having issues. As discount rules via bulk purchasing are not part of WooCommerce core, I will assume you have added this option via a plugin. If the plugin does not output pricing in the correct format using WooCommerce code standards or filters the template to insert the bulk purchase rules, then it will overwrite the Tax Toggle output. So it is likely that the plugin you are using needs to be fixed, not Tax Toggle. Its hard to debug without seeing the tax toggle installed, so feel free to setup a staging copy of your site with the tax toggle activated and I will have a look. Would also be useful to know what the discount plugin is called. You can message me directly at my support desk https://desk.thetwopercent.co.uk/knowledgebase.php?category=2 Thanks!
Thanks for the quick reply and helping out to solve an issue which was created by a third party plugin.
Hi guys,
Do you’ve a demo so i can see how it works or looks like? Cannot see much of it right now.
Is it just a button or is it a nice smooth element as on this website: https://kunststofbalk.nl/kunststof-balken (see in top header)
Hi Jordy. Its a button that triggers JavaScript to change the price display, so I would say its a smooth interaction. There is no page refresh or changes made to the URL. The toggle button element is configurable/customisable to whatever style you want, many developers apply their own button style or toggle switch and retain the PHP and JS we provide. Here is a demo site (temporary URL) https://www.thetwopercent.co.uk/go/taxtoggle/
Thanks for your message. I also see there is a shortcode and it can be added with PHP. This PHP code is available in the documentation?
I will buy your plugin soon as possible then
.
There is a readme file with some basic instructions – for PHP code you can use <?php echo woo_tax_output(); ?> or <?php echo do_shortcode(‘[wootax]’); ?>. And for more advanced FAQs there is my sites knowledgebase https://desk.thetwopercent.co.uk/knowledgebase.php?category=2
I have used the tax toggle widget to show in header as well as the floating toggle. I have the check box enabled to only show floating toggle on shop pages, however, the widget version is still displaying in my header on other pages. is there a way to fix this please?
thanks
Hey, thanks for purchasing Tax Toggle and the comment. Sorry to hear you’re having an issue. Only the floating tax toggle is affected by the “Restrict the floating toggle only to shop pages” setting. The widget is not affected by this option. The thinking behind this, and why we added this feature, was that many shops have landing and info pages that don’t need the floating toggle, so the setting removes it. Many shops only use the sidebar + widgets on shop pages (for filters, categories etc) which is why the option to display it only on shop pages never seemed to be needed. Solutions right now 1) display the shortcode/toggle using conditional PHP based on the page. 2) Use a conditional widget plugin to hide the widget on some pages (i.e. https://wordpress.org/plugins/conditional-widgets/) If you are using the widget in your header, and I guess with WordPress Full Site Editing coming, the option to have the widget also only show on some pages may be useful, so I will look to add that to the plugin as soon as I can. Hope that helps.
Ok thanks for clarifying this. I don’t think I can use the conditional widgets plugin as I am using Elementor for my custom header. I will try hiding with CSS for now until you have a added the change into the plugin (if you can later).
No problems. Sounds like an interesting use case. If the site is live and you don’t mind sharing it I would like to take a look. You can message me privately here https://desk.thetwopercent.co.uk/index.php?a=add&category=2 I can also give you upfront beta version with this feature when it’s ready. Thanks.
