More than three weeks without a response – it’s a great pity that this formerly great script doesn’t provide answers to open questions. Especially the multilingualism was often requested. Old Forum does not exist longer. I bought version 3.1.5 in 2019, unfortunately without any updates or help.

Appologies, I missed this one. I still update it as much as I can but I dont have the time I once had. I have a busy work/family life so I tend to just do security updates for now. Hopefully will have more time towards the end of the year.

Never mind – I fixed it – that being said, not enjoying the lag time between sending a support request and getting support. I’m using this app live …would be nice to get prompt support when required.

Hi. Thanks for purchasing the script. We are working at improving the bruteforce login attacks. In the meantime the script does have a process in place that increments the time between each failed login up to a maximum of 10 seconds.

Thank you for quick response, Good to hear that you work with security improvement. Im counting for it. Another thing i would like to suggest is to make custom fields feature. For example i create field THEMECOLOR and admin / user (can be setup permission) can define value for this field for example 5. And then i can (using php code) show for user theme number 5.

If Multiple Logins is on, more than one person can be logged on with the same username, different locations, different browsers. If it is turned off, if someone logs on somewhere else, the first person is logged off.

In the one and only email I received she said, “I am not a developer, and my knowledge is limited to what I read and instructions I follow.” so I assumed (fairly) that she did not have knowledge of PHP. Ive literally had one email from this person and she has said, “Support is non-existent”. I responded with a long email, with some helpful guidance and the offer of more help and she came back with a short rude response, not giving me any further opportunity to help. Are people really having such bad days that they can be so cruel. I work hard on this script, provide support, all for a few dollars after CodeCanyon take their cut, and people behave this way!

The documentation is more than adequate, especially if you know PHP. As I explained to her, there are so many variations and ways to use the script that it is impossible to cover every angle.

You sent a long email about nothing and there was no helpful guidance in it. You did not even read my original support email where I went step by step what was done and what was missing. Your documentation is INADEQUATE. Basically it says, “you only need a few lines of code to protect a page.” Ok. The lines of code are… Like you mentioned to another buyer, you don’t make money on this script after Envato takes their cut. That I imagine is the reason why you don’t care if it works or not. Then you had the gall to write this extremely condescending line in your message to me, “If you are having a better day tomorrow”... Why should support require more than one email? Responding to an email is NOT support if the content of the email is a contrived answer about something that was not asked. I am sure you can do better if you try. That way you won’t get honest comments from people who are willing to call it like it is.

Your one and only original email, sent some hours ago, did not give me enough to go on. It would have been a gradual process to help you. There was not enough info there to answer everything with one reply. The documentation mentions more than just the one line of code – it is here for everyone to see – https://www.angry-frog.com/xavier-demo/documentation/ along with not one, but three examples in folders labelled examples-one, two and three. This person is either having a really bad day or is extremely unfair, impatient and rude. I really dont get it to be honest, to go from “Please help” to “I hate you – your script is trash” pretty much in two emails is pretty out there to be frank. I can imagine if I had made it to two emails, we would have got to “Arghh the world is ending” sooner rather than later.

That’s correct, your message reminded me and prompted me to do so. It’s much too much work for me for the small fee I get after CodeCanyon take their cut. I could provide examples which would lead to hours of questions that people would charge £50 an hour for and so I promised too much. It is possible, but it would only have been possible if you have the required knowledge already.

I have over 15 years of experience programing in many different languages . I can figure out the examples. Please provide them if you have them.

The technology has moved on somewhat I think since I put that on the CodeCanyon listing. I had it working with Adobe’s Cordova. Basically web apps in phones cannot use PHP right? So I use javascript as the bridge between the two, so the javascript file calls the php file from my script and that php file passes back json saying yes or no as to whether the person is logged in, as well as creating the cookie. I’ll send you what I have but it may not make complete sense.

Yes, that’s correct. I would assume the same thing, but I’ve tested this scenario across multiple browsers, private tabs in those browsers and physical machines, both local to my network and remote (phone and a former colleague) including an iPhone.

I’ve just created a new account, you should see it as “benusd”, but I can’t even login with the account I just created on that link it simply reloads the login page.

Tested on: Chrome – regular and icongnito tabs and Firefox – Regular and private tabs also and my iPhone via 4G.
