Hi,

With the latest version upgrade (4.13.11) I find my media view to show:

No folders found No folders have been created yet. Just click on the button above to create your first folder.

Yet I have integrated Justified Image Grids that still display the correct images based on the RML ID.

How do I get my library back?

I am sorry to hear that you have issues with Real Media Library. But no worries, it sounds to make like nothing is lost.

Do you get any error in your JavaScript console when loading the media library?

For me, the issue does not sound like some issue with the update, but most probably some issue with the WP REST API of your WordPress installation. Do you use some kind of WP REST API blocker? You can lean more about this issue at https://devowl.io/knowledge-base/wordpress-rest-api-does-not-respond/

Is there a way to programmatically supply the license to the plugin? Any hooks?

thanks for your request. Unfortunately, not yet. We plan to migrate the licensing system of Real Media Library until the end of the year to our new licensing system, which might be able to programmatically use licenses via constants. So, I have to ask you for a bit of patience.

using the free version and want to buy the pro, but now have a issue. I moved a folder from one parent to another and all pictures have disappeared. Since this is a virtual folder, what happened? I tried a few other and same issue. It seems like moving a folder from one parent to another causes this problem. I think it is a bug?

thanks for your question. Real Media Library is for organizing your media library, but Real Category Management (https://codecanyon.net/item/wordpress-real-category-management-custom-category-order-tree-view/13580393) allows you to organize custom post types like Mailster Campagnies in folders.

It works with Mailster, if you create a taxonomy for Mailster Campagnies. How that works is explained in Real Category Management as well as in the plugin documentation.

I have been using the free version for over 6 months, I purchased the pro version and followed the instructions https://devowl.io/knowledge-base/codecanyon-install-wordpress-plugin/

I extracted the downloaded folder and then tried to upload the zip file real-media-library-pro-4.13.9-plugin to wordpress by adding as a plugin

It says:

Installing plugin from uploaded file: real-media-library-4.13.9-plugin.zip Unpacking the package…

Installing the plugin…

Destination folder already exists. /DEFAULT/wp-content/plugins/real-media-library/

I dont want to uninstall the free version as I have loads of folders with images already set up.

Can you tell me what I can do in the most simplest terms otherwise I will request a refund.

Thanks, it still says that same message above after deactivation and uninstall when I try and add the pro plugin add on real-media-library-pro-4.13.9-plugin.zip . I take it that I need to go into our server and delete the empty /DEFAULT/wp-content/plugins/real-media-library/ folder? cheers

I am getting an issue with the library after updating from an old version(2.8) to the most recent. I see my folders on the left, but then I still see 2 other folders that show All files and Root Files. I have tried deactivating and reinstalling with no success. Any Ideas? plugin crashes website after update to 4.9.13 … after deactivation everything is like before

Hi Franz! Dies ist vermutlich eine Warnung? Diese kannst du vorerst ignorieren, da vermutlich die Hauptursache hierfür verantwortlich ist. Was genau passiert denn, wenn du RML aktiviert hast? Grüße, Matthias :-)

just a bit of feedback, I find your Changelogs confusing in their terminology. So many updates in quick succession without any real understanding what is changed. Version bumps for example.

That means, if we change one of our packages all plugins depending on that package also gets a version bump. In the last time, we have released 3 times in a row because we made a major release of one of our others plugins. Regards, Matthew :-)

I own 2 licenses of your plugin. On one of my sites I can not get updates to work from inside the WP control panel. When I go to Plugins > All plugins, it tells me an update is available, but it gives no options to run an update.

If I go to Control Panel > Updates it allows me to run a update, but always fail with the message “An error occoured: The plugin update is not available”.

I have tried reinstalling the plugin, but it still won’t update from within WordPress. It’s not a big deal, I can update it manually – but it’s annoying to not be able to do it from the control panel.

Do you have any idea what may cause this, and what I can do to fix it?

The plugin creates duplicate entries. File name is the same. Just several thumbnails in the folder.

How can this be prevented?

I am sorry to hear that you are having problems with Real Media Library. The behavior is not normal and is typically caused by a compatibility issue.

Please open a support ticket at devowl.io/support, providing a complete list of the WordPress plugins you are using, and if possible, temporary access to your WordPress backend. We can then look into the problem for you!

Thanks Jan for your quick reply. I have opened the ticket but couldn’t find where to provide the credentials for a temp access.

I have been working with the plugins (with no issue at all) for a few months and the problem suddenly started.

On a side note, I have setup a sandbox on devowl website and the same issue exists. I would suggest that this is more than a compatibility issue or (if this is a compatibility issue) the problem is with the latest Wordpress core update.

It seems the latest plugin update causes issues. Thumbnails in Media Library aren’t displayed anymore, and also at some pages as well. See https://www.nvom.nl/ behind the “Nieuws” items I also get errors on certain pages: Warning: strpos(): Empty needle in /home/customer/www/nvom.nl/public_html/wp-includes/media.php on line 1356 Can you please help me to solve this issue?
