Hi, we had to change our shop system to php8, unfortunately vimuse no longer works. Can we get an update? Thank you
Please contact me through my profile page in CodeCanyon
My hosting company has updated to PHP 8 and the player no longer works. Please help! Thank you very much

This player has not been updated in nearly 3 years!
In one of the comments, you mentioned to send the updated files with PHP8 fix to one of the buyer. Why don’t you upload it so those who bought already can download it??
I am connecting to a shoutcast server. I am not doing any videos. I keep getting this error message
On Chrome jquery.vimuse.js:1230 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘split’) at Object.vimeoMsgReceived (jquery.vimuse.js:1230:42)
On Firefox Uncaught TypeError: $iframe.attr(...) is undefined jquery.vimuse.js:1230:31 vimeoMsgReceived jQuery
This is how vimuse is setup
var $app = $('#allstars-player').vimuse({
mediaType: 'audio',
getID3Info: false,
showAuxControls: false,
playlistPosition: 'top',
showPlaylistOnLoad: true,
showPlaylistThumbs: false,
showAudioCover: false,
pullRadioTrackInfo: true,
pullRadioStreamCover: false,
radioInfoPollInterval: 76000,
enableCache: false,
phpFolder: 'assets/vimuse/php',
playlistURL: 'assets/vimuse/allstars.json'
});
How do i stop this error message?
Can you share the link to the page where you have embedded the player? That would help me in debugging this issue
Are there any plans in updating this plugin so PHP 8 is supported?
Sorry for not getting back to you earlier. I have identified the cause of the problem to be an outdated dependency. I will release an updated version soon that is compatible with PHP 8.
Awesome! Thanks!
Hey, any idea when the update is available? I need to upgrade to PHP8 and this is holding me back!
Please contact me through the message box in my profile page, and I will send it to you.

Thanks for purchasing!
I need a link to your page where you have embedded the player to inspect the problem.
Changed the YouTube API KEY – now working thanks
Good to know that!
hello, can you please let me know if this player will play and display the metadata from this url http://ais-edge50-live365-dal02.cdnstream.com/a73313? if possible can you post an example? this is an icecast2 stream.
Yes, the player is able to play and display the current playing track’s metadata
why is php needed? can’t I use plain html as javascript? Is it possible to continue where you left off?
PHP is only needed to support some of the special features like caching and reading media info from the files. But it is not required to have PHP in order to run Vimuse, and you can disable all features that need it.
Hello. I purchased your plugin and loved it. See timalexander.net for all the work I invested in using it. One day it stopped loading the audio (video was fine) so I switched to Cue (a lot of work) and an added feature of that was it plays the songs on mobile without having to click to the next song. Frankly I will not change that for that reason. If they can do it so can you. I prefer your plugin but what is one to do?
Hello.
I already have videos on my Vimeo channel and I want to use my feed on this player, how do I do that? FYI, I am not that good at coding.
...
Ok. Done. Lol! Managed! Thank you for this.
Glad to know that you got it working.
Hi, suddenly the player will not load, just a spinning disc. It’s been working great previously. I’m not sure why, any ideas please?
http://janequinn.biz/media/Thanks!
I bought a new license and re installed in case any issue with older version but I still see issues. I get this warning:
Warning: count(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable in /home/customer/www/janequinn.biz/public_html/wp-content/plugins/codecanyon-Tron5AHo-vimuse-media-player-wordpress-plugin/vimuse-options.php on line 858
when I click to add media, the save details and cancel buttons do nothing.
It seems you are using the WP Plugin version of Vimuse, whereas this is the comments section of the jQuery plugin version. So please post this in the comments section of the WP Plugin version, and also try to mention any recent changes that may have happened with your WP installation.
done, please can you delete these comments from this thread
I can’t seem to install the plugin. It says failed every time.
Are you trying to install this in WordPress by chance? Note that this is not the WP Plugin version of Vimuse, but rather the jQuery plugin version.
I’ve requested refund for this but not heard back. I need the WP version. Mnay thanks
I had replied to your refund request enquiring the reason that led you to ask for a refund. I didn’t get any reply from you for that but now that I saw your comment here I have approved the refund.
Hello,
does the player also support Wistia videos?
Thanks and many greetings Maik
Thanks for your interest, however the player does not support Wistia videos.
Good luck with your sales
Greeting Cosmocoder, vimuse was working fine for the last 2+ years on my website but all of a sudden, without making any changes to any of the codes, the videos stop firing. All the audio pages are fine! https://www.rockmissionary.org/Media%20Resource/vse-rskeete-vid.php
On checking your page I see that the browser is showing error reports which say that the Vimuse script is unavailable. Did you recently make any changes in your website configuration? It seems to me that you have a mechanism in place for having deferred loading of the Vimuse script. If the script is not available in the page when you execute the code for initializing the player, then that would explain the error reported by the browser.
The only recent change was my SSL certificate update! Nonetheless, the audio pages work fine. Example: https://www.rockmissionary.org/Media%20Resource/me-hymnsunset.php
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function json_decode() in /home4/slvofgod/public_html/Media Resource/php/media-info.php:25 Stack trace: #0 {main} thrown in /home4/slvofgod/public_html/Media Resource/php/media-info.php on line 25
Maybe there were some changes in your server’s PHP config recently that is making the json_decode function unavailable.
I have this testing page that produces no JS errors yet it doesn’t fire.
https://www.rockmissionary.org/Media%20Resource/vse-johnnixon-vid111.php
This page is also reporting the same error from media-info.php, that I mentioned above. You need to check with your hosting provider about this. Most probably something changed in the PHP setup in your server, and a necessary module is missing/disabled.
Hello – great program. Having trouble pulling information through shoutcast (current song, artist. etc.) . Looking at the PHP error log I’m seeing a lot of deprecated function in id3 and media-info php files. Tried setting my php all the way back to 5.4 but nothing works then
.
Thanks for purchasing!
If you can send me the link to your page where the player is embedded then I can inspect it to see the errors that are reported.
The stream url is: http://198.27.83.198:7073/stream?type=http&nocache=1812
The stream play fine but no track information is displayed. I’ve made sure I have the Title, Artist and Album in the id3 metadata populated on all the tracks. Thanks!
Your shoutcast url needs a semi-colon at the end and then it will work fine (I tried it out). So your url needs to be http://198.27.83.198:7073/;
This is sometimes needed for shoutcast streaming url’s so that track info can be obtained from them.
hello, RTMP without flash enabled can be playable inside this component.. I think 2+ years ago I bought this component before
I have never tried it so can’t say for sure if it will work. Please feel free to try it out though.
I checked your page and it seems something has changed in your server config because right now when the player js file makes a request to the get-cache.php file then the server is returning a mime-type of “application/x-httpd-php” instead of “application/json”. The response data actually contains the contents of the php file itself instead of the cached playlist json data.
In the first link the issue is the same as in your previous pages – the server is sending the wrong mime-type of “application/x-httpd-php” when the player tries to make an ajax request to the php files. Please get in touch with Hostgator to fix this issue.
In the second link that issue is not present and the server correctly sends the data when the player script makes an ajax request. However some player instances are not loading because you have not provided a Youtube API key there. If you check the demos which do not contain any Youtube videos in the playlist then you will see that they are loading fine (although the paths to some thumbnail/poster images are not correct).
That is using your most updated clean file.. I tried two server and it does the same thing…
This page has the same problem with php files as I mentioned before. Your server for lavozdelconsolador.org is not configured correctly and setting incorrect mime-type of “application/x-httpd-php” for the php files, so when the player script makes an ajax call to the php files an incorrect response is sent back. However your server for preparatehoy.com was configured correctly. You need to get in touch with the host provider for lavozdelconsolador.org to fix the issue.
It seems that the php script isn’t actually being parsed in your server. Can you check with Hostgator if the PHP engine is enabled and configured correctly in your server?
My website is still not working, I have called many times hostgator but no one knows how to fix the problem. I tried to create the MIME Type my self, could you please check it again and see if there is something else. I have read about modifying the .htaccess to parse php but Please take a look to this issue. If you know the correct wording or code to fix it please let me know. here is the link to check the audio series again. http://lavozdelconsolador.org/AudioSeries.html
I checked your link and the player appears to be working correctly there for me now. Is the issue happening for any specific player instance (since you have several in your page)?
Interested buying this player.. can you explain how to integrate this player to my php website..
This player is a jQuery plugin, so you will need to include the necessary scripts in your page and initialize the plugin (you will need to include the css file too and a bit of html). Full details of embedding the player will be found in the provided documentation.
Hello, We are finding that the player does not function properly on mobile with more than one YouTube video. The first video loads perfectly but when the user clicks on a second YouTube video on mobile it will not load. Can you please assist Thanks!
Thanks for purchasing!
I tested the playing of Youtube videos in the player once again now in a mobile device and it works fine for me. Which mobile OS and browser did you test in? Also please share the link to your page where the player is embedded.
Thanks for the fast reply. Unfortunately, this is neither working on desktop nor working on mobile. We have checked in firefox 82.0.2, chrome 86.0.4240.183 in windows and google chrome in android 9
http://graycelltech.in/gct/epktest2/youtube.htmlThe vimeo version is working fine
http://graycelltech.in/gct/epktest/vimeo.htmlAlso, The video in this player is working in desktop
https://epresskitz.com/dev/dev917/video.php?u=25but these are not working in android and iphone on chrome and safari
Best Regards.
In the first page (http://graycelltech.in/gct/epktest2/youtube.html) you did not provide and Youtube API key which is needed to pull in data from Youtube. You will find details about this mentioned in the provided documentation.
As for the 3rd link, I see the issue in iPhone. However the player demo for Youtube playlist works fine in iPhone. Did you add any custom js code in the page? Please try the player demo in your phone, and also trying embedding the player in an empty page in your site and see if the issue is still there.
