I’m using Kalium theme and I noticed headings within WPBakery blocks are not recognized for calculating the SEO score. I already contacted Kalium theme developers and sent them RankMaths answer, but I think this could also be important for you.

Not sure there are plans to ever improve the functionality of the plugin (it’s already amazing as is, thanks) but I do have a suggestion, which I could maybe even help integrate if you guys wanted.

So you currently have the ability to create pre-sets – https://kb.wpbakery.com/docs/learning-more/element-presets-my-elements/

Which is great, but it doesn’t allow for the ability to modify the preset globally. Once the preset is created and used across the site if you want to modify the elements you still have to manually edit every single one.

Now, looking at how the functionality is coded it wouldn’t be terribly hard to integrate a global preset.

The only thing needed would essentially be a new parameter attribute to define specific parameters as “dynamic”, so any dynamic parameter would still be changeable on an individual item basis but all other parameters would be taken from the saved element preset.

For example if you take the Custom Heading element the only parameter that would be “dynamic” is the “Text” field, so it could have a new param added like this – https://a.cl.ly/nOul2KYK

Now, when you insert the preset element instead of the editor window showing all params, it would only display the dynamic ones, in this case that would be the text field.

The shortcode itself may look something like this:

[vc_custom_heading text="Custom text" template="my-custom-heading"]

And all the magic would happen in the vc_map_get_attributes function, so if the template attribute is defined in the shortcode, WPBakery will then grab the attributes from the preset and replace all attributes that aren’t “dynamic”.

How would you edit the global preset? Maybe just add a new button here – https://a.cl.ly/Qwu9J8AZ – so when you click the edit button it opens a new window with all the element settings so they can be modified. Now when they edit the template all the elements that had been previously inserted on the site will automatically reflect the changes because they didn’t have any custom parameters inserted only the dynamic ones.

Pretty much every other page builder out there already has this ability and it would be amazing to have in WPBakery!

Hi there, can you let us know if Wp Bakery can be used on category pages, I am due to renew my license but the client is asking if this is possible, we see the option to use it in product pages but not category pages.

The symbols in the visual builder are missing for me. I tried clearing my cache, updating to the latest version, ect. and nothing has worked so far. Do you know why the symbols might be missing?

Updated to the latest version (bot Wordpress and theme), but the toggle module doesn’t work on the front end without the jquery migration plugin. When I load the page it shows up for a fraction of a second and then disappears. Everything else seems to work fine. Any idea on how to fix it?

I currently have the WPBakery Visual Composer 5.0.1 and after a recent wp core update the backend only shows code, I´ve purchased the new version, and when installing it I get a warning message saying I currently have WPBakery Visual Composer 5.0.1 and that I´m about to install WPBakery Page Builder… Are both the same? Is it ok if I install this over the old one? Will this fix that backend editor only code issue?

1. Why your dev team is sleeping so much? Still no inline edit for text, and there is still no custom header and footer builder integrated. Only some plugins/addons with just few active installations. And there is no chance to have conditional rules to show/hide custom header.

2. Some issue on popups: There is an addon with just 100 active installations and very with very bad reviews. Wpbackery still have no native option to build popups.

3. No chance to build custom archive pages, result pages, post detail pages, woocommerce detail pages. Why?

Do you plan to improve your software with this options? Because all the other pagebuilder already have this options some years ago and we are still waiting for this basics.

After updating to WordPress 5.6.2 the backend/frontend visual editor is not working anymore. I am using Version 6.6.0 of WPBakery page builder with Gutenburg disabled.

As you know WordPress devs finally decided to upgrade to current JQuery version in 2020. Now WP core uses latest Jquery + JQuery Migrate, but in the future (in WP 5.7 actually – https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/51812) JQuery Migrate will be gone and all deprecations will turn into errors. Your plugin has following deprecated jQuery events in backend.min.js:

jQuery.expr[’:’] is deprecated; use jQuery.expr.pseudos

I just wanted to make you aware that AIOSEO and yoast fails to recognize images within wpbakerys building blocks for their sitemaps. this potentially leads to thin content pages and penalties and downranking for seo on google. I got pushed way down in my local niche and was wondering why and thin pages might be the issue.

Since I use wpbakery bundled with a theme (Kalium), I contacted the theme author, but I thought you might be interested in this as well.

RankMath apparently have developed a fix with their customers which includes a small bit of code to be attached to functions.php, but I don’t know how to tweak it to work with yoast. you can google “WPBakery Images are not indexed rank math” to find their solution. yoast simply support recommends placing filters for each image that is in a pagebuilder block, but this is simply not feasible or practical with large numbers of images in building blocks. they also suggest hiring an expensive freelancer to fix this and while big companies probably can, small businesses like me can’t.

I’m posting here, because I can see no other way to get in touch with wpbakery developers. Can you help with a workaround? Thanks.

Thank you for your comeback. If I take the trouble to write to you, it is precisely that my licenses, I recall again that I have 4, oblige me for the 4 sites to disconnect, download, activate. I would like the updates to be done automatically. Of course I took in each of my licenses, but that doesn’t change anything. Now you tell me to go to support, but I’m not going to pay a hotline for a problem that is not mine. It becomes painful, and yes, I will replace this plugin as soon as my time permits. Regards

Hi, Why updates on YOUR plugin cannot update automatically. Each time, you have to download it separately, uninstall it, to be able to replace it. It’s really painful I have 4 licenses, and on the 4 sites I waste a lot of time Regards

I no longer have support, but wanted to report a bug. Couldn’t find a way to do it one your site.

I have a row with 3 columns, and the row is set to stretch row with a solid background color so the background goes from edge of browser to the other edge with content centered. It displays fine on first load, but resizing the browser cause the row layout to shift or rather expand to the right edge. It appears that javascript is adjusting the rows left margin negative while adding the same amount of padding to the left. However the right padding is set to zero, causing the row to expand to the far right edge of the browser. If I add use developer tools to add that same right padding, the content appears centered as it should.
