Since you bought the plugin through Envato marketplace, you don’t actually need the purchase code to activate the license. The “Purchase Code” field is reserved for purchases made through our website, and needs to stay blank when you’re activating with Envato.
So, all you need to do is click on “ACTIVATE WITH ENVATO”, and the plugin will take you to the Envato log-in page, where (upon logging-in) the license will be activated.
Because Envato’s API is limited to linking 3 requests per second you will probably need to click on “Activate with Envato” a few times until the license is activated, but once it is activated, it will stay active and you will be able to update the plugin through the Plugins page.
Can you please try now, and let us know if it works? Just remember that you probably will need to click on “Activate with Envato” a few times before it actually activates the license.

Like mentioned before, you will probably need to do this a few times before it actually activates your license.
We’ve had issues when 25 attempts were needed to activate the license. That’s an extreme case, though.

Excel and CSV files need to be uploaded, or hosted on the same server. If they are on the same server, you would be able to add a full path (not URL) to fetch the files.
URL works only for Google Spreadsheets, XML, PHP and JSON files.

Is it possible to restrict editing of a table cell (changes can only be made once)? If someone else wants to change the same cell, it will not be available for editing.

I’m trying to add url link buttons to a URL Link column, but in this case its for a band who has multiple sales links to one album eg bandcamp (button1) spotify (button2)... i have tried pasting the standard method as in docs using the || separator which works on the first button, button the 2nd button wont show … i tried a , seperator and a seperator between buttons but cant seem to get it to work

A URL link column can only be used for one URL. You can convert the column to multi-line string, and then use HTML editor, which includes hyperlinks.
Also, you can use string-type columns with a multi-line editor, and then add custom button CSS, where you’d include multiple links using anchor tags.

If you create server-side tables (manual, imported or SQL query based tables), the plugin can handle tables with millions of rows. This depends on your server’s performance and hosting plan also, but the plugin is able to handle large data sets with server-side processing.

You would be able to create simple tables, where employees can edit the table, and manage their working hours, and shift schedules, but there are no automated processes there.

It won’t let me provide a ticket without a valid support (which has expired). I don’t really want to pay over $200 for something that can just be emailed. Sorry for the inconvenience, there’s an issue with Firefox, Opera and Safari.
Please go to wpDataTables settings/Custom JS and CSS/ and on the bottom turn off the option to use Minified javascript. Then, in file wp-content/plugins/wpdatatables/assets/js/wpdatatables/wpdatatables.js on line 528 find this:

Add this below it:

I am hoping to build a logistics table (loadboard) where users post pickup and delivery locations for truck drivers. This requires a third column that geo-locates the two addresses, calculates the distance between them and displays the distance. A fourth column will also need to multiply the distance by a pre-configured rate that applies to that region and return an estimated price. Is this currently possible with your plugin? If not do you have plans to add geo-location functionality to a column type?

So I have tried my best to work with this and the result is not so bad. The problem is that I need advanced filtering of the rows which your plugin does provide but now I have too many filter options above the table.

Unfortunately, filters can’t be hidden, so if you enable filters for all columns, they will show above the table.
You can only hide the table before filtering is applied if you install our paid add-on Powerful Filters, but it will not help you achieve what you want to achieve, unfortunatley.

Hi there, we are recently migrated our site and updated wpdatatables plugin the most recent version.
Both in the front end and table editor we get the notice: No matching records found
All tables have been previously added as manual tables. The site has been migrated previously a few times and we did not face the same issue.

We can’t say what happened without taking a look at your website. Maybe the database prefix was changed and the tables are still registered with the old prefix.

Hi, i have a question I have a table with a list of bookings/events with various dates Can I show the table with filter with current date enabled? eg: the table has 40.000 rows, but only 150 with current date, 200 with tomorrow date…etc… can i show the table showing the records of current date thanks to a current date predefined in the filter?

We suppose you’re pulling this data from the database? If that’s true, you would be able to use SQL commands to filter per today’s date, or some difference using CURDATE function.
With wpDataTables, if you have a date column which would allow you to filter per specific day, you could only use CURRENT_DATE placeholder in a string-type column as a predefined filtering value, as this placeholder can’t be used with the Date type column.

The search in wpDataTables is not case sensitive. You could probably make it be case sensitive, but not with the plugin’s built-in features. It would have to be developed as a custom solution, but support doesn’t cover that.

If we understood you correctly, you’d like the table to be hidden before filtering (search) is applied?
If that’s true, this can only be achieved with our paid add-on Powerful Filters, which allows you to hide the table before filtering and to use cascade filtering.
