Hello. Is the a way to place two calendars on one page? (Buying a second license or something) Or is there only one shortcode available for Santapress?
Hi there. Yes, it’s possible but with some workarounds (currently SantaPress by default only supports one calendar but this feature is already on the request list and probably will be part of the plugin sometime during this year).
What you can do is right now: You can register a new taxonomy (for example a door category “doorcat”) e.g. through this plugin https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/
Afterwards you can download this file class-santapress-public.php: https://gist.github.com/flymke/b8b63450894faff85541c01ef1c924d5 and copy it to your santapress/public directory.
Then you can use another parameter within the shortcode: [santapress cat_id=”123”] (of course you should replace the number with the ID of the category)
Let me know if that works!
We are having trouble using the SantaPress plugin with the Avada theme. The Santapress Advent Calendar uses a class name “modal” that Avada uses for its modal/popups and needs to be deactivated for those popups to work in Avada.

Simply activating the plugin seemingly causes the issue – even if the SantaPress calendar isn’t on the same page as an Avada modal.
Case in point: the SantaPress calendar is not on the following page, yet the Avada modal is comprised by styles coming from the SantaPress plugin:

Hallo, das geht leider nicht. Das müsstet Ihr separat steuern (z.B. manuell – leider – oder mit einem eigenen Shortcode). Ihr könntet z.B. in einem eigenen Shortcode abfragen welcher Tag ist und dann den Shortcode des CF7 ausspielen. Guten Rutsch nach Österreich 
perfekt. So haben wir es gelöst.
Zwei weitere Fragen. 1. Wir haben die kostenlose ACF Version installiert. Diese verursacht ein Problem mit dem Quiz. Das Feld “Antwort” wird nicht angezeigt bzw. wird die Möglichkeit Antworten zu erstellen nicht angezeigt. Ideen? Wenn man ACF deaktiviert geht es. 2. Wir haben dem Custom Post Type die Taxonimie “Kategorien” hinzugefügt. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit dem Shortcode eine Kategorie mitzugeben? So könnte man doch mehrere Kalender nutzen?? danke und liebe Grüße aus Österreich

Yes, but only with a workaround: For example: For 2 calendars with 25 doors each you’d basically you’d have to copy all door posts (or make duplicates).
Then you’d end up – let’s say with 50 doors for 2 calendars.
On page you can then hide doors 26-50 and on the other page you can hide 1-25.
E.g.:
hide the doors on .page-id-126 greater then 25:
.post-126 .santapress-container .santapress-door:nth-child(n+25) { display:none; }
hide the doors .page-id-155 less then 25:
.post-133 .santapress-container .santapress-door:nth-child(-n+24) { display:none; }

Hi there, it sounds that you have any caching plugins activated. If so you need to exclude the door index page and the door page from cache. Can you check this?
No, we have not caching plugins on the website. May be WordPress is caching? How to repair this?

Hallo,
seit wenigen Tagen scheint die Modular Page der Doors nicht mehr zu funktionieren. Zumindest nicht in allen Browsern. Opera und Firefox zeigen das Pop-Up korrekt an, Chrome, IE und Brave beispielsweise öffnen anstatt des Pop-Ups ein regular window.
Das wäre nicht weiter schlimm, wenn ich nicht im Pop-Up einen Farbverlauf hinterlegt habe und daher die Links dieselbe Farbe wie der Hintergrund einer regular Page haben.
Außerdem ist die Header Leiste beim öffnen in einem regular window zerschossen und wird nicht angezeigt.
Ich habe bereits den cache komplett geleert un die webseite im inkognito Modus der verschiedenen Browser getestet, ohne Erfolg.

Hallo, ich hab es eben in Firefox, Chrome (auf Mac) getestet. Hier geht es. Auf Edge 87 auf PC kann ich das Problem nachvollziehen. Allerdings sehe ich auch 3 Fehler in der Konsole, die ich z.B. auf Firefox (Mac) nicht sehe ( siehe https://pasteboard.co/JFUP31V.png ). Könntet Ihr das mal prüfen?

Die Tracking Prevention hat wohl etwas mit dem Cookie-Plugin Complianz zu tun, welches SantaPress nicht korrekt zuordnen kann.
Den jquery Fehler kann ich persönlich nicht zuordnen. Ich kann diesen auch nicht reproduzieren.
Hallo, Problem ist das die Fehler das Ausführen von weiteren Skripten blockieren und somit auch leider Modal leider nicht öffnen kann 
Alternativ wäre mein Vorschlag mal das Caching / Kombinieren von JavaScript Dateien auszuschalten?

Nur eine Frage hätte ich:
Wir würden gern zum Höhepunkt am 24.12. ein kleines Video im geöffneten Kalendertürchen abspielen. Das funktioniert so weit auch über die normale “Dateien hinzufügen”-Funktion des WP-Text-Editors. Das Problem ist nur, dass das Video beim Schließen des Türchens durch Klick auf das kleine rote Kreuz oben rechts nicht gestoppt, sondern nur unsichtbar wird. Es läuft dann irgendwo im Hintergrund weiter (man hört weiter den Ton).
Gibt es irgendwie eine Möglichkeit, eine Nachricht zum Stoppen des Videos zu schicken, wenn das Türchen geschlossen wird?

Hi Olaf, das Problem kenne ich von YouTube. Hier scheint der Browser das Video im Hintergrund laufen zu lassen obwohl es nicht mehr sichtbar ist. Vielen Dank für die schnelle Hilfe! Hat noch nicht wie gewünscht funktioniert. Mit $(this).find(‘video’)[0].pause(); in der Funktion konnte ich das Video nach dem ersten Aufruf des Fensters stoppen. Leider funktioniert es aber beim wiederholten Aufruf so nicht.
So scheint es zu klappen:

hi..i use custom pictures for the calender doors and the modal window mode…
Sometimes while the modal widow is open one or more doors/pictures are still visible and block the view to the contents of the window. This happens randomly.
Is there a way to define (CSS?) that the modal-window layer is allways on top?

Everytime I update a Gallery in a Avent, it changes the ones in the others. For instance, updating the 15-dec alters all others from 1 to 14 in a different order.
Do you have any Image Gallery extension to recommend ?

HI Julian, do you mean the gallery on https://ortra-ge.ch/door/14/ ? Actually if you don’t use modals (which could indeed break) you should be able to use any WP gallery or also the default WP gallery. I personally like https://foo.gallery/. Maybe that works better for you?
Hi, I’m embeddingVimeo videos and in the mobile view the video is extending beyond the modal popup width. To fix it, I tried t use Vimeo’s responsive embed feature instead of fixed width, but the video doesn’t show it all that way—it seems to not recognize widths that are % instead of px. Is it possible to contain the Vimeo videos within the width of the modal popup?

Thanks! It did work, but it made the video smaller even on desktop, so I wrapped it in this:

That seems to work better. My modal is set to 600px so 665px seemed to be when the modal began to condense in size and therefore needs the video embed to also condense down.

I’m getting all the days in big images below each other rather than the calendar grid with small images. Also It starts with 1 rather than 11 (which I have selected: doors 11 to 25).
I’m wanting to start the calendar this Friday teh 11th and I’ve added the shortcode to a regular page and one in ‘edit with Elementor’ in a shortcode widget. Doesn’t make a difference.
I have classic editor in Wordpress.
Not sure what goes wrong here, but please help as I will have to return the plugin if I can’t get it to work in time. I didn’t think it would be a problem to get the grid to display, or I’d have started testing earlier. Sorry for the panic.

A belated thanks for that. I managed to make it look pretty by changing the 25% to 33% so that my devided-by-3 number of doors came out equally spaced.

Can you check the console for error logs? I had the same issue on some clients that are using Flywheel as provider. They got an 500 error because they block access to wp-load.php in their root folders.
